Place of Refuge - Word Art Wednesday

Hello Delightful friends,
Time for our Word Art Wednesday Anything Goes/Family Friendly Challenge.  Our lovely sponsor this week is Newton's Nook Blog ($20), they have some really cute stamps!!Shop HERE.  I hope you will play along and share your new projects with us at WAW.  The more times you enter the more opportunities to win! (You can enter 5 times per week and the challenge lasts for 2 weeks!)

Here is my card:

Scripture Art is Proverbs 14:26 "In the fear of the Lord is strong confidence and his children shall have a place of refuge."  In these uncertain times, one thing is certain and that is my strong confidence in the Lord's place of refuge. I am safe in His hands.  My heart is breaking over this last week.  From the disturbing and disgusting act that led to the death of George Floyd and now the equally disgusting  rioting and anarchist activities.  There is one word for it and it is e-v-i-l. The Lord spoke to my heart this evening while I was at our prayer meeting and that the need was repentance and revival.  Just as the word repentance comes first in the dictionary, it's got to come first in people's hearts for revival to come.  We must have repentant hearts for there to be change and healing.  Repentance is having a change of mind and heart, from going your own way to going God's way.  He's given us the way to follow, the words to obey, now it's time to listen and really hear and obey, we must be accountable for our actions toward God and our brothers and sisters.
"We know we have passed from death to life, because we love the brethren. He who does not love his brother abides in death. Whoever hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him.  1 John 3:14-15

Card details:
Stamps: Taylored Expressions - Treetops background
Die: Botanical Spring, Amy Design and  Sizzix Die set (frames out sentiment)
Grass border die - Taylored Expressions
Copic Markers to color (assortment)
Distress Ink: Tumbled Glass (sky)
Liquid Pearls - gold

Thanks for visiting!

I've Taken a Viking to You...

Hello Delightful Friends!

Just had to give a shout out to Lisa Henke, a HUGE THANK YOU for the happy mail!  I was the winner on her blog for the Season's of Giving bloghop.  She outdid herself with the goodies.  I can't thank her enough.  Everything in the package was something I will use and is so my style.
I had to share a card I made with one of the stamps that was part of my winnings.  It was the Avery Elle Viking stamp (with a die, too!! Oh my goodness! So cute)

I've colored the Viking with Copics and used a colored pencil to add a bit of texture to his manly beard!  I had this cute paper from Pebbles (Night-Night) with the fun anchors and the backside was the blue gingham. I matted each paper with a charcoal gray, added the baker's twine and a button to embellish. I cut out the image using the Simon Says Stamp Stitched Circle die and then using the Spellbinders Nestabilities circle die I cut out the gray circle to mat.

Inside: the stamp I used here was from a set called You Aren't Normal (Technique Tuesday) that I have had for a while and the sentiments in the set just crack me up! Not so sure that Vikings fought zombies but I thought it was pretty funny to think about that ;-)
The heart die is from Lawn Fawn.

Thanks so much for visiting and I hope to be posting a few more cards here in the next few days.
Blessings to you!

I wait for the LORD, my soul waits, and in His word I do hope. Psalm 130:5

Everlasting Mercy - Word Art Wednesday!

Hello Word Art Wednesday friends!

It's almost Thanksgiving here in the USA and I hope all of you have a wonderful and safe day!  I have so much to be thankful! I'm looking forward in spending time with a small gathering of the family over at my mom's home, unfortunately none of my adult children and their families will be joining us, most are out of town.

I know it's a busy season but hopefully you will be able to share some of your projects with us at Word Art Wednesday this week. The challenge is Anything Goes - Family Friendly.  Share up to 5 projects each week that the challenge runs.  We have two sponsors The Project Bin ($15) and Imagine That! (digital). Hope you will link up and share! I was blessed to be able to use this fabulous digital stamp set called Poinsettia from Imagine That!.  It has a lot of fun images and sentiments, too!  Love it!  When I was beginning to make my design for the card I wasn't sure which image to use. But I wanted to use my Copic markers, so I chose this swag and arranged it around the scripture art which I had printed on 80# Neenah bright white card stock. After coloring the four swags I fussy cut around the outside of the image.  The base is the 80# Neenah card stock and then I die cut the pattern paper (unknown but from my Christmas stash) with the Lawn Fawn Fancy Scallop Rectangle die. I put the layers together and I added the bows because it just needed something! I can easily duplicate this design and add a Christmas sentiment or choose a verse that is more Christmas-y to fit with the poinsettias.

The Scripture chosen this week for our Word Art is Psalm 103:17
Please take the time to read this chapter in Psalms it is a wonderful testimony of God's goodness, His mercy, His compassion and healing virtues.  It's awe-inspiring to know that His mercy towards us is enduring.  This Psalm begins with praise and gratitude and if you ever find yourself at a loss of words, these verses will definitely help you get an attitude of gratitude, speak them aloud to the Lord. We are called to proclaim His praises.  I am so thankful for the Lord, that He saved me, redeemed me and calls me His own. It is a blessing to serve Him.

Have a blessed week and thanks for visiting.

Let's Do Coffee! - Word Art Wednesday

Hello Delightful friends and family!
I have a fun card to share today that features a Graciellie Designs digital stamp, (who just happens to be one of our sponsors at Word Art Wednesday for this weeks challenge).  Here is a link to her Etsy site. This set is called "Stay Cozy" and it has some really fun sentiments to go along with a cup and tea bag.

I've used the Photo Play "Fall Breeze" collection of 12x12 designer papers and the 6x6 paper pad from the same line.  Love this collection of paper! My card base is Neenah Desert Storm and I've added a strip of dark brown card stock (probably Bazzill); the ribbon is from Michael's fall line of ribbons.  I've colored the image with Copics (YR14, YR24, R89, R39, E09, E25, E49, V06 and a colorless blender.)  The Scripture Art is from Galatians 6:2 and printed on Neenah Bright White 80# cardstock.

"Bear ye one another's burdens and so fulfil the law of Christ. Galatians 6:2  This verse reminds us to be mindful of others, to care for others during times of need.  It really isn't complicated. I think it would be an excellent idea to read the complete chapter not just verse 2 if you really want to understand personal responsibility and being effective as a disciple of Jesus Christ.  If everyone would stop looking at "me, myself, & I" and begin to care for others, what a difference we would make in this "self focused" world! Everyone of us has a burden, a trial, something that weighs us down and if we would just help carry the load, the Bible says we would be fulfilling the law of Christ.  You may ask what is the law of Christ? Simply: it's love. Jesus said in John 13:34-35 "A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another; By this all will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another. Lord Jesus help each of us to reflect you and be mindful of those around us so that our obedience to Your word would draw others to You.

Well don't forget to link up with us your projects and get a chance to win a prize!  The challenge every week at Word Art Wednesday is Anything Goes - Family Friendly and runs for 2 weeks!  You can submit 5 new projects a week!  Two sponsors this week: Graciellie Designs and Honey Bee Stamps!!!!

Thanks for visiting and have a great week!  Invite a friend for a cup of coffee, tea, hot cocoa whatever it might be and take time to be a friend or just a listening ear to someone in need.

Above All These Things - Word Art Wednesday

Hello Delightful friends and family!
Hope you have a lovely Valentines Day.  I still need to make 4 simple cards for the grandkids before 3p.m.  Thankfully I have all my supplies out ready to go and some card ideas in mind. Isn't that the biggest issue trying to decide which design to use, there are so many running through my mind! I don't think we will be doing anything special due to the fact my husband has Men's Ministry tonight and I know he didn't think of it! Which works out because I've come down with some yucky bug!

Here is this weeks card for our Word Art Wednesday Challenge be sure and link up with us.  I was blessed with the stamp set (here is the link) "Thinking of You Rose" from our sponsor Stamp Simply Clear Stamps.  Thanks so much to Sharon Johnson the Designer/Owner.
This stamp set has 4 Scriptures and 5 lovely sentiments.  I masked the rose and stamped it twice, colored it with Copics and Prismacolor Pencils then, fussy cut it out. I love pairing red with black so I found this paper that I've been hoarding holding on to for a while. I did add little dew drops using the Nuvo Jewel drops and then a couple of red rhinestones to embellish.  I look forward to coloring this rose again!

Here is our Scripture art for this challenge that you can download and use if you'd like. You can link up to 5 Family Friendly Anything Goes project and the challenge is open for 2 weeks!

When I think of the enormous price that was paid for me through the death of our Savior Jesus Christ I should gladly put on charity or love because it perfectly fulfills what God requires of me in any relationship (do I always...no).  If you have time, read all of Colossians 3, it is a real check list for us as believers in how we should live righteously in Christ.  We are complete in Christ Jesus and He is the bond that hold us together! I am so glad to serve the risen Lord!

Have a blessed day and thanks for visiting. Don't forget to visit our sponsor and link up with us at Word Art Wednesday.

Set the Example - Word Art Wednesday 302 & 303 challenge

Hello Delight friends and family!
We've been enjoying our beautiful autumn weather here in northern California!  The leaves are changing with cool mornings and evenings and just delightful days!  My hubby and I just might hit the beach on Thursday morning to do a little bit of fishing for red tail perch in the surf before it turns too cold and windy.  Fall has inspired my card today for Word Art Wednesday.  I just love the Doodlebug Design Flea Market 6x6 paper, it's so cheerful! The pattern is pretty busy so I kept the design simple.  The scarecrow comes from a stamp set from Darcie's Heart & Home called Crow About, I've colored the image with Copic Markers and added a button and a hemp cording bow.

The Word Art this week is from 1 Timothy 4:12.  I know a lot of teachers focus in on the first part of this verse but I want to encourage you to live out the last part by being an example in the way you live, your speech, how you love/charity (agape), how you walk in the spirit by having a godly attitude, being faithful and being pure in the sight of men but especially in God's view. Paul was talking to a young man named Timothy but these instructions are perfect for us today no matter our age.  I want to be an example to believers and non-believers alike.  So if you are facing difficulties and living out your faith in Christ before people, just remember that they are watching you, so your attitude speaks volumes even without words. You will be pleasantly surprised when someone asks you about how you can be so at peace in the midst of turmoil or difficulties.  You can share the love of Jesus with them for you know it's what is sustaining you, sharing the Gospel message is really empowering and will give you boldness to share even more. It's such a blessing to minister God's love to others by sharing your testimony.

Thanks so much for visiting and please head over to the Word Art Wednesday Blog and link up your family friendly, Anything Goes Project and perhaps you will win the random drawing. The challenge lasts for two weeks and you can link 5 new projects!

Word Art Wednesday - They shall be filled!

Hello Delightful friends and family!

Just a quick post to share a card for the challenge at Word Art Wednesday this week.
It's an Anything Goes - Family Friendly challenge featuring Scripture Art that each design team member uses to share a project and to share God's Word!  Hope you will play along with us, remember you can link up 5 new projects and you have two weeks to play.  This challenge sponsors are Lawn Fawn (6x6 paper pad and stamp set)  and All Dressed Up (they have some of the cutest digitals).  Two wonderful prizes to play for!!
This weeks Scripture Art is from the Gospel of Matthew 5:6.  It is free to download!  You can grab it at Word Art Wednesday, this weeks challenge is #286 and #287.

Here is my card:

Using my MISTI I stamped this image from the Avery Elle stamp set called  Floral Frame. This is the largest stamp in the set and I first stamped in the top right corner, then flipped my paper and stamped on the opposite side bottom. I used Memento Gray Flannel to stamp the floral frame then colored with my Copic Markers and then added Prismacolor Pencils (White, Orange and Process Red) to add some finishing touches.  It was then matted on black card stock and adhered to a white card base.  Super simple and the coloring was very simple too, very little shading.  I did outline everything with Copic N1 and N0 for added depth.  Should be very easy to pop into an envelope and sent to a friend in need, it's flat and I didn't add any dimensional embellishments.

The Scripture art from Matthew 5:6 is from the Beatitudes that Jesus taught, you find them in what's know as the Sermon on the Mount.  This teaching is about the Christian life, both present and future, it shows that God is sovereign over all. The word beatitude means supreme blessedness or happiness.  The blessings promised in the beatitudes are directly related to our obedience to Christ Jesus our Lord. They develop our Christ-likeness by producing a godly character. If we are going to be "filled" we must hunger and thirst after righteousness, this will help us to develop humility, meekness, compassion, holiness, obedience, sensitivity and a growing commitment to Jesus Christ. These are to be evident in our lives and show that we are truly blessed and are born again of the Spirit. Remember we were bought at a price; therefore we glorify God with our body and our spirit which belong to our sovereign God.  To God be all the glory!

Thanks so much for visiting! Have an excellent week!

Rejoicing with You at Easter - Word Art Wednesday

Hello Delightful Friends and Family!
Hoping this is finding you all well and having a blessed week!  We are celebrating "Resurrection Sunday" this weekend!  The world wants to promote bunnies and chocolate eggs but when you think of Easter I hope that you will remember not only the great sacrifice Jesus made on our behalf but also that the tomb where they laid His body is empty, HE IS RISEN!! The hope of eternal life is ours because of what He has done! Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved.

Can you believe it's already mid April? Today is a special day, it's my mom's 79th birthday.
Happy Birthday Mom!

It's also hard to believe that it's already time to share a card for our challenge at Word Art Wednesday!  Here is my card for this weeks Anything Goes - Family friendly challenge:

Here are the ingredients:
Stamps - Taylored Expressions Calla Lily Bouquet and Easter Joy
Card Stock: Desert Storm, gold (my stash, I can only assume its Bazzill) and bright white (Neenah)
I colored the calla Lily with Copics and the green background was done by using a blending tool and Distress Oxide Peeled Paint on a diecut (Lawn Fawn Stitched Rectangle) piece of Neenah Desert Storm. It's hard to see the effects of the technique but I started at one end and blended the ink on about 3/4 of the card stock, the lighter end is behind the calla lily. I also spritzed some water on the panel to cause it to activate and lift color. It just adds a look of texture to it (it looks better in person), then I stamped the sentiment "Rejoicing with you this Easter" in Archival Jet Black ink.
The Word Art is John 12:23 and printed on Vellum.  I fussy cut out the vase and calla lilies and popped them up with dimensional adhesive.  I added a few sequins from Pretty Pink Posh (sweet pea mix)
Please join us at Word Art Wednesday, we have some great sponsors each challenge and you can link up 5 new projects and share your talent with all of us!!

Resurrection Sunday is the epitome of hope and the strong message that truth will always triumph over the evil. In our scripture art today it says: Jesus answered them saying "The hour is come, that the Son of Man should be glorified." (John 12:23).
The hour is come - many times it is recorded that Jesus said His time was not yet come.  But finally it was time, perfectly on time according to all the prophecies concerning Him. He was the perfect Lamb of God willingly laying down His life for us. Oh my goodness all the types and shadows in the Word that point to Jesus and the redemptive work He would do, it's all spelled out if we are willing to believe. I encourage you to read the Bible with eyes and a heart filled with believing that Jesus was and is exactly who He said He was: the Savior of the world, God in the flesh, Emmanuel (God with us).
"Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father." Philippians 2: 9-11

Have a blessed week!! Thanks for visiting.

Party 'til the Cows Come Home

Hello Delightful Friends and Family,
Here's a cute card I made for a little guy's first birthday.  It's a farm theme so this stamp set from Taylored Expressions (Green Acres) was perfect to mask out a fun "on the farm" scene.

I will be sharing this at Seize the Birthday Challenge blog.

I've masked with Inkadinkadoo Stamp Masking Paper (love it!) and then used my MISTI to position and stamp each item in Memento Jet Black ink.  Then I colored with Copic Markers.  The sentiment, clouds (die) and sun are all from different Taylored Expressions stamp and die sets.  The base is Desert Storm Neenah card stock and the one of the clouds was die cut from Vellum.  Inside the card says "Party 'til the cows come home" and I stamped the other "bovine" from the set.  I've not made a card with so many stamps in a scene but I really enjoyed the process and that Stamp Masking Paper was so helpful, I only needed to mask the tractor, cow and haystack,  Once I figured out the placement it was easy peasy!  I've also used Tumbled Glass Distress ink and a blender for the sky and to edge one of the clouds.

Thanks for visiting and Happy Stamping!!

Therefore, preparing your minds for action, and being sober-minded, set your hope fully on the grace that will be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ.                                                                            1 Peter 1:13 (ESV)

Waiting for Summer - Word Art Wednesday 234 & 235

Hello Delightful friends and family!
So much going on! Little League baseball and girls softball are winding down for the grandkids so that's going to really help loosen up some time and enable me to get into my neglected (of late) craft room. I have to get my card class proposals in by the 10th (in 3 days! YIKES)  thankfully I have a good idea in what I'm doing, just got to get it down on paper and make some samples for the class board.
It's time for the new Anything Goes (family friendly) Challenge.  We have TWO wonderful sponsor this week and I've used one of  "All Dressed Up"images on my card.  Wendy Burns has the sweetest Etsy store and just love the digital images she's created, they are so cute!  Here is the link to her blog.  Hope you will take time to visit there.  Thanks so much Wendy!
Our second sponsor is the awesome online store PAPER SMOOCHES, they have some of  the cutest stamps and dies, I use them a lot in my classes.
Here is my card I shared at Word Art Wednesday:

I wanted to make the image look like she was looking in/ or/ out a window so I framed her by die cutting the Stitched Circle die from Simon Says Stamp! I used two of the dies to cut out the pattern paper. I used a piece of scrap paper from my stash and it matched perfectly with the background designer paper from Fancy Pants called Park Bench, I've been hording saving this paper for quite some time! I've colored this little darling with Copic Markers and then used the Atyou Spica glitter pens to color the teeny tiny flowers, greenery, butterflies and bees.  I love the braid in her hair and the green garland!  This image is called Waiting for Summer, isn't she the sweetest?  I've added three enamel dots to embellish so this card was easy to assemble.  This weeks Scripture comes from Proverbs 16:9 and I've cut it down and matted it with yellow card stock.

Here is a card I made for a class last week using a Paper Smooches image called Chubby Chums:

I water colored the image after stamping onto the Ranger Water color paper and I used Distress Markers, ink pads and waterbrush to color.  The graduation cap is a stamp and die from Stampers Anonymous called "Crazy Things", the border die is called Stitched Scallops from Lawn Fawn.  This is one of the three cards we did in class last week.  Just wanted to give a shout out and thanks to Paper Smooches for sponsoring us at Word Art Wednesday!

Here is the free Scripture Art that you can grab and use if you'd like when you play along with the challenge at Word Art Wednesday, you don't have to use it to play along but we love seeing it when you do!

A great verse to remind us to pray for  the Lord's direction in our lives.

Thanks for visiting and have a fantastic week!

A Reason to Smile! Word Art Wednesday #220 (#simonsaysstamp)

Hello Delightful friends and family!
It's mid February and time for another challenge at Word Art Wednesday, our featured Scripture is Psalm 41:12
Our sponsor for this challenge is Simon Says Stamps! Very cool! I love all the wonderful inspiration on their blog! They have some super instructors. It's a treat to visit every week. And their exclusive stamp line is fabulous. This week I've used a brand new stamp and die set called Melody's Easter.  The new release is this week so be sure and check it out HERE, it is called A Reason to Smile.  Also, we would love for you to play along in our Family Friendly - Anything Goes challenge at Word Art Wednesday.  Perhaps you will win the $25 gift card to shop at Simon Says Stamp!
Here's my card:

Melody is adorable and her basket is a separate stamp filled with eggs but I've trimmed them out and added the flowers that are in the set.  It took a little masking but I got 'er done! I've colored with Copic markers. (E00, E01, E11, E13, E18, E19, YR14, V01, V17, V25, R20, R83, R85, RV34.) I've added Liquid Pearls to some of the flower and with a white Signo Uniball pen I made the rick rack around the edge of her dress and sleeves.  The pattern paper is from Penny Black (Beau Jardin) and the oval scallop die is a Spellbinder Nestabilities.  The card base is Neenah bright white 80lb paper. I've stamped Melody with Memento black ink.

I will be sharing this at the 30 Day Coloring Challenge HERE, too.

Psalm 41:2 says "And as for me, Thou upholdest me in mine integrity, and settest me before Thy face forever."  I believe if you read the entire chapter 41 we can conclude this was a  time when David had quite the ordeal with his son Absalom and one of his chief advisors Ahithophel. I'm sure it was a great comfort to David knowing that God would uphold him in his integrity.  When we put our faith and trust in the Lord, He will do the same for us.  Good character is a must in a Christian's life but we must realize the goodness in us is a gift from God.  He is the one who holds us up and allows us to maintain our integrity in times of trials and tribulations. When we start thinking we can stand on our own, look out, that's pride speaking!  Another way to look at this is to remember the Scriptures always speak of Jesus Christ.  This is probably a prophetic word concerning Jesus, after all the Father did uphold His Son in His integrity and He is setting before His face forever.  I love the glimpses of Christ in the Old Testament!

That's it for me!  Thanks so much for visiting and commenting! Have a great rest of the week.

Hello Delightful friends and family!
It's the day before Thanksgiving and we are getting our menu finalized.  Need to get the shopping list together and brave the grocery store today.  My dear hubby has to have colonoscopy at noon so I'm going to have to be creative with my time!  Hopefully I will be able to keep him out of the food, he's going to be a hungry bear after the test!

I've used this cute Pure Innocent stamp from My Favorite Things and colored her with Copic Markers.  The papers are all from Simon Says Stamps (I was a blog hop winner!! whoo - hoo!) The ribbon is from my stash and the Scripture Art is a free digi that you can find at Word Art Wednesday!  Hope you'll play along with the challenge it's Anything Goes - Family Friendly and there are a couple of giveaways so be sure to head over there!
Ok, gotta run and make a quick shopping list for my part in the Thanksgiving Dinner.  I hope you have a blessed day with your family and friends.

I will sing unto the Lord, because he hath dealt bountifully with me.  Psalm 13:6

Give Thanks - Word Art Wednesday #210

Hello Delightful friends and family!
Hope you are all having a wonderful week.  This month is flying by isn't it?!  We are getting ready for our annual community Thanksgiving dinner on Saturday that our church sponsors for our town, so this week is really going fast.  I'm teaching a class on Thursday at Scrapper's Edge, then I need to take all the Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes to the local drop off spot on Friday before doing all the shopping for the community dinner.  Needless too say it's a busy week!  Well enough about me, it's time for this weeks Word Art Wednesday challenge (Anything Goes - Family Friendly).  Hope you'll join us this week and link up.  Here is my card for the challenge:

Here are the ingredients to my card:
Stamp: Unity (pumpkins)
Paper (Neenah bright white) and Doodlebug Designs
Embossing Folder: Darice Birch
Copic markers
Enamel Dots: Simple Stories Pumpkin Spice
Dies: Lawn Fawn Stitched leaves
Distress Inks: Gathered Twigs, Abandoned Coral, Antique Linen, Fired Brick
Memento: Rich Cocoa
I've used clear embossing powder to emboss the pumpkins and leaves - the photo isn't showing that, but I wanted to give a bit more dimension and texture to the card and that is how I achieved it.

What a wonderful song/psalm of David which is our Scripture Art verse this week.  As  believers we have a special responsibility or perhaps I should say special privilege to praise the Lord and proclaim the good news of His salvation. Isn't it a blessing to be able to trust the Living God and know that He cares so much for us?  Be sure to check out 1 Chronicles 16:8-36 to read the complete song/psalm that David wrote, it's no wonder that the Lord called him a "man after Mine own heart" such worship and adoration!  David was so grateful that the ark was now back in it's place and his heart was filled with thanksgiving.  As Christians we should be filled with thanksgiving for what Jesus has done for us! He is so faithful and He dwells within us and we have access to Him 24/7 - that's certainly something to shout/sing about! (just like David). To God be the glory!

Snowy - December class

Hello Delightful friends and family!
The craft boutique is behind me now (whew...) so I thought I'd just post something for fun.
These are two of the cards that we are making in my class in December at Scrapper's Edge in Eureka.

Isn't this the cutest snowman? (Penny Black - Snowy). I've colored them with Copic Markers and played around with my colorless blender and used some fun techniques for the background and plaid scarves and hats.   Paper Smooches sentiment, Uni-ball Signa white pen for the background dots, Micron pen for the framing, white embossing powder finish off the supplies I've used.

Thanks for looking!!

And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful.  Colossians 3:15

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Anything Goes!

Hey there Delightful friends and family!
Simon Says Stamp's Challenge this week is Anything Goes! They are featuring Lawn Fawn this week and I'm pleased as punch because I have a few of their super cute stamps.
Here is my "card" it's actually a Gift Card Holder that I made for a class I'm doing in December at Scrapper's Edge in Eureka. These cute images in this stamp set are the perfect size for these holders.

I've colored with Copics, the paper is MME Christmas Market Street, I've added Liquid Pearls Opal white to the hat.  Dies used are Spellbinders Scallop circle and LaLa Land Stitched Circle. The base is Neenah white card stock.

Well that's it for me today!  Thanks for visiting.

Simon Says Stamps - Ready Set Snow! and #thedailymarker30day3

Hello Delightful Friends and Family!
I have a fun card to share with you today.  I received some very happy mail last week from Simon Says Stamps and just loved what they sent!! Such a cute stamp set and matching die called Ready Set Snow!  It was perfect for me and I'm so excited to be able to share a little part of their Holiday Collection called Create Joy.  If you haven't been to their blog, you really shouldn't miss their blog hop that started on Friday.  You will love all the creative inspiration. Plus there will be a lot of prizes given away, too!  Thanks so much to Heidi Crowl (owner of Simon Says Stamp) and her team of designers.
Hope you like what I've done on this card and I have another one "in process" but not ready to share just yet! Maybe in a day or two.  I will be sharing this at the Daily Marker for the October 30 Day Coloring Challenge

I have to laugh, it looks like the these two are ready to step off the card and go play in the snow!

I had to use this paper (Simple Stories) that I have an abundance of from last Christmas, when I say abundance, I really mean that, I should give some of it away.  I will check with my grandkid's teachers to see if they can use it for upcoming Christmas projects. (I don't need to be a hoarder, right?!)  I've colored these two with my Copic Markers on some newer paper (100# Hammermill Photo White card stock) not sure that I like it, the green jacket got really shiny like it wasn't absorbing into the paper so the jury is out on that.  I originally bought the paper for a class I'm teaching and one card is a single layer card and I wanted it to be a bit more substantial than the #80 Neenah bright white and just thought I'd give it a try.  Any suggestions on the heavier paper and Copic coloring, particularly this brand of paper???
I've stamped the sentiment with Versamark and used Ranger Fern Green Embossing Powder, then added small red pearls that coordinate with the buttons on the coat (which was paper pieced). I've used Glossy Accents and Clear Wink of Stella here and there but the photo isn't picking that up.
Well that's it for me, sorry I'm a bit wordy today, what's up with that?? Maybe the popcorn and grandson Jake's Skittles from the movies... sounds like a good excuse to me!  By the way we saw Woodlawn - VERY GOOD and INSPIRATIONAL - a true story!

Thanks for visiting!

Be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart, all you who hope in the LORD.  Psalm 31:24

hello friend... #thedailymarker30day3

Hello Delightful Friends and Family!

Day 2 of the 30 Day Coloring Challenge!  Probably won't be able to do all thirty days, my schedule is just a little to tight for that but I'm going to enjoy the days I do.  Here is my card for today:

I've colored the image (Darcie's Hello Autumn) with Copic Markers. Sentiment is a stamp from Stamper's Anonymous "Crazy Talk" the leaves are Lawn Fawns Stitched leaves Die set.  The fence is an Embossing folder set from Sizzix called Thankful. This card is one of a set that I will be doing as a class at Scrapper's Edge in November!
