Must Say Thanks - CC&CC 91

Hello Delightful friends and family!
Wow! I'm on a roll this week!  It's nice to get back into a groove with the card making and posting.
Here is a fun card I made using a water color technique of layering the colors then adding gold and black to give a faux glazed glass look.  I shared this technique in my last class at Scrapper's Edge and it was a big hit! The ladies really liked learning this technique and I loved all the different looks everyone came up with.

Here is a list of supplies:  Dies - Taylored Expressions Vase, Spellbinders DeLites Lavender, Sizzix Labels Fancy #6.The sentiment is from Avery Elle, the water colors are a very inexpensive set I got at the lss and I've added Stella Luna (gold ) pen/brush.  The base of the card is Flamingo (Bazzill) and  black card stock.  I've stamped with Archival Jet Black Ink.  LOVE how the vase turned out, it was diecut from the watercolored paper!

Thanks for visiting and enjoy your Friday!!

Brighter Skies are on their Way!

Hello Delightful friends and family,
Here is a card I made for a friend that is going through a rough time.  I hope it brightens her day!
I love the Scripture on the inside of the card, sometimes when we are going through a time of testing it's good to take time to be still, evaluate our faith walk and see how we are lining up to God's Word and make corrections if necessary or just rest in His loving kindness knowing that this life is a series of hills and valleys and that the Lord is there to walk us through.  I'm so grateful for His faithfulness.

Ingredients: Designer Paper - EP Summer Bliss, Bazzill card stock; Stamps:  Taylored Expressions - Sunny Days (sentiment), Ranger Dylusions - How Does Your Garden Grow (flowers); Dies: Taylored Expressions (clouds, sun, border scallop), Spellbinders (label); Ink: Memento, rich cocoa, scattered straw; Archival, Chrome Yellow. Ribbon & button (my stash); Green cording (Darice)
I just love all the little birds on the background paper! So cute!!

Here is a close up of the details.  I've used Ranger Liquid Pearls (Buttercup, Rouge and Flamingo) and Queen & Co. pearls (green) I've colored the flowers with Copic Markers.  Embossing Folder small dots on clouds (Cuttlebug P.C.)
There's lots of layers on this card!

Here is the inside of the card.  The Scripture verse is from a stamp set called Faith in Bloom (Taylored Expressions)

I've entered this card in the following challenges:

Summer Camp Out!

Hello Delightful Friends & Family
Here is a quick post to share a card I made for a little guy in our church who had a birthday last week and a campout with some of his buddies in his big backyard that borders the forest.  Since I'm not home (still up in Oregon, tending to my momma) I can't really give you any details about the card.  Except that I did do the whitewash fence technique for the background, some masking and fussy cutting.  And I used three different stamp sets (Taylored Expressions- S'more Fun, Lawn Fawn - Happy Trails and Hero Arts-Essential Messages on the inside.)
I made this for Jakob and Addy to give to Garison which fit the theme perfectly for his summer birthday!

This card will be entered in the following challenges:
Seize the Birthday

Inside of the card:

Thanks for visiting!  Enjoy the weekend.

Happy Birthday - better late than never!

Hello Delightful friends and family!
Long time no post, I can't tell you how hectic it's been here and I've had no energy to be on the computer to write up a blog post.  Now that the baby shower I hosted is over and preparing to speak at a Mother - Daughter Tea this past Saturday is over, I think I might be able to get those creative juices flowing again and have a bit of energy to visit and be active on my blog!  I have another project I'm working on for my niece that I really need to get busy on, her baby shower is at the end of the month!
I  have a card to share that I made last month. Here is the picture of my husband's birthday card.  I've used a Sizzix Mover and Shaper die for the focal point and the happy birthday is a Taylored Expressions stamp.

I'm sharing this card at:

Autumn-themed card - And a Trip to the Pumpkin Patch

Hello Delightful Friends and Family!
Wow, another week has flown by and it's already late Wednesday evening so another week is half over.  I am learning to be thankful for everyday because this life is so fragile.  The verse on the card says "Give thanks to the Lord for He is good; His love endures forever" and that's what I'm doing: Giving thanks in the midst of this busyness!  When I'm thankful to Him, I find a peace and even a rest within that God is so faithful to provide. He is so good!

This first card is a Clean and Simple design that was so quick to put together.  It's one layer, one stencil (Stampers Anonymous, Layered Tree), one stamp (Taylored Expressions) and two inks (Distress Ink, Bundled Sage and Memento, Rich Cocoa).  Fast, fast, fast!  The second card is the same basic card but "dressed up" a bit.

I'm entering the 2nd card in two challenges:
Word Art Wednesday (Anything Goes #103)
Chocolate, Coffee & Card Challenge (Autumn - not Halloween #50)

I've stenciled the leaves with 2 colors (Bundled Sage and Wild Honey) and used those same colors to sponge around the edges.

Inside of the 2nd card (you can really see the natural fibers on the inside, but the picture doesn't do this justice)

Both cards have the same base and it came from the lss, it comes in a package of pre-cut card stock (A-2 size, desert storm color with lots of natural fibers throughout) with matching envelopes.
Here are the ingredients I've used:
Stencil: Studio 490 Layered Tree (Wendy Vecchi - Stampers Anonymous)
Stamp: Taylored Expressions, Thankful set and Falling For You)
Inks: Distress Inks, Bundled Sage and Wild Honey; Memento, Rich Cocoa
Card Stock: Bazzill
Copics (to color the wing and beak of the bird)
Button: Favorite Findings (Nature)
I cut the small green flags from the matching green card stock.

Here are some little ones that I'm thankful for!

Pictures of the kiddo's at the Pumpkin Patch last Saturday:
Jake(6), Riley(5), Addy(4) getting ready for the hayride to begin.

Tucker (almost 3) found a big one!  Poppa can you carry it for me? PLEASE???

Here are some good ones!

Riley is one strong little girl!

This is the one I want.

October Birthday

Hello Delightful friends, family and October!!  I'll "try" to make this quick because I have my two youngest granddaughters, Addy and Tucker coming over this morning and my crafty stuff needs to be put up because sweet Princess Tucker (age: almost 3) loves (and I mean really loves) markers.  Especially on her body, clothes and the walls.  She is fascinated by them and the last thing I need is my Copic Markers being applied to our walls! I don't like to discourage creative expression but I have to draw the line (pun intended) when it comes to my walls!

This card will be entered into the following challenges:
Creative Corner Challenges - The Great Outdoors

The stamp I've used is a brand new stamp line the lss is now carrying and it has been super popular.  The company is Crafty Individuals from England.  This stamp is called Summer Meadow and I think it's going to be great for Clean and Simple, Mixed Media and Backgrounds, it's so versatile!!
I've used Memento (Morocco) Ink to give the Summer Meadow an Autumn/October feel.  I've sponged around the edges of all the paper with Distress Inks,( Scattered Straw and Vintage Photo).  Those same inks were used to customize the seam binding ribbon.  The photo doesn't pick up the added bling on the flowers to well, but I've used Stickles (icicles).
The sentiment stamp is Penny Black's Friendship set (front and inside).  The rhinestones are Queen & Co.  Love how the Distress Inks changed the look of the Designer Paper (My Minds Eye, Lost & Found ) which is really noticeable on the scallop die (Spellbinders).  Other dies used are Spellbinders Classic Circles (Nestabilities) and My Favorite Things, Die-Namics Fish Tail Flag Stax.  The card stock used is Kraft (Paper Accents) and Neenah to stamp the image.

Here's a peek of the inside.

Thanks so much for visiting and enjoy the rest of the week!!

Happy Birthday!

Hello Delightful friends and family!
Hope you are having a great Saturday!  I'm heading to town soon but wanted to get this birthday card posted right away so I can get it in the mail.  My dear friends birthday is coming up this week so I may get this card to her on time!  Surprise, surprise!!

I've used three different stamp sets for this card.  The first stamp is the most obvious, it's Wheelbarrow Marci from La-La Land Crafts.  Isn't she the cutest! She reminds my of my granddaughter Addy who loves to help me with yard work.  I've colored Marci with Copic Markers, paper pieced her boots and then added Glossy Accents(Ranger) to them for "waterproofing" (tee-hee).  I've also used Liquid Pearls(Ranger) to add dimension to the flowers and her overall buttons.
The second stamp set is the sentiment from Penny Black (Friendship - "T For Transparent") this set has some wonderful sentiments! I've stamped it with Memento Tuxedo Black and used the MFT Die-Namics Fishtail STAX die to frame it out on Neenah card stock.
The last stamp set is the Prima Marketing Mixed Media Stamp by Julie Nutting to creat the flower background and I've used Worn Lipstick Distress Ink and a Worn Lipstick Distress Pen (both from Ranger) which I used to accent some of the flowers directly on the stamp before placing it on the paper, then I used Bazzill card stock to mat the layer. I used Liquid Pearls in the center of the flowers of the background paper, it's real subtle and if I was to do it again, I'd probably not add anything.
The pink plaid designer paper I used is from Cosmo Cricket (Tea for Two Mini Bloc).

Here is a peek at the inside of the card.  I've used one of the sentiments from the Penny Black Friendship set and the border punch is from Martha Stewart.

I'll be entering this card in the Sister Act Card Challenge #24
And

Thanks so much for visiting!
