Greater is He - Word Art Wednesday

Hello Delightful friends and family!
I pulled out my Prismacolor Pencils and attempted to color this adorable image from All Dressed Up.  I'm still learning the art of color pencils so don't judge me too harshly (lol) I didn't have the proper colors for the flesh tones so I had to "wing it" with a couple of colors I had in my stash.  This card today is for the challenge at Word Art Wednesday - it's a family friendly anything goes challenge (#319 & #320).  Don't forget to link up your projects - there are prizes to be won!  This weeks sponsors are the Project Bin ($15) and Imagine That (digital prize). Be sure to check out their blog and shops for crafty inspiration!  The more times you enter (up to 5) the better your changes are to win prize!  We had over 300 entries last challenge!!

Here is a little info on the card.  The digi image is from All Dressed Up.  I've colored it with Prisma pencils, then diecut it out using a Cottage Cutz Square cross stitched die. I then diecut a stitched circle in green and put it to the side of the image for a little interest and added 3 watercolored butterflies that I had punched out using a Marvy Uchida small butterfly punch that I've had for ages! I embellished them with Liquid Pearls. The pattern paper is from Simple Stories called DIY. I then mat the Scripture art in green card stock and then assembled the card layers onto an A2 white card stock base.

You can use this Word Art if you'd like! Each challenge has a new Scripture.

Our verse today gives us great encouragement! It reminds us that we are born of God, taught of God and anointed of God through His Holy Spirit which makes us overcomers in this world.  We have so many worldly things coming against us to overthrow our faith but knowing that Christ in us is greater, should give us confidence to endure.  Of course it helps to read the full chapter of John 4 or better yet the whole letter to get a greater understanding of what is being taught. At that time this letter was being written to help believers recognize a false teaching.(ironic how this is so relevant even today!)
I find myself quoting this very Scripture when going through a trial or any difficulty and it brings peace and an assurance in God that is unshakable. I would like to encourage you to read the Book of 1 John, memorize Scripture and let the living Word teach and speak to your heart, it will give you hope!

Thanks so much for visiting today.  Have a great week.

His Loving Kindness - Word Art Wednesday

Hello Delightful friends and family,
Here is my card for Word Art Wednesday (#318 and #319) for this week! Hope you will join us and link up your projects!  You can link up 5 new "Anything Goes - Family Friendly" crafty projects and our sponsors this week are Bossie Joscie ($25 online store) and Cutting Cafe (Digital Prize)!  The challenge runs for two weeks so you have time to get crafty!!  A BIG THANKS to our sponsors! Be sure and visit us at Word Art Wednesday and see all the projects that are being linked up there!  So much creative inspiration!!

I've used two dies to create this card.  Avery Elle Diagonal Stripes and the Paper Smooches Dove. The pattern paper background is Crate Paper (Chasing Dreams) 6x6 paper pad, this piece looks kind of like marble in blues and greens. I've used my Koi watercolors to color the dove and was very careful not to separate the outline of the dove die from the main piece that was cut out from 140lb Strathmore watercolor paper. Then it was just a matter of adhering it all together!  Quick and easy, a simple card that will be fun to reproduce plus by using a variety of different sentiments, paper and diecut embellishment you can use this card "sketch/design" for different occasions.

Here is this weeks free to use Scripture Art:

Love this verse! It truly helps us to keep in mind what the Lord has done for us and when we meditate on those things we realize His lovingkindness is better than life!  It should (and does) make me want to sing and lift up my voice in praise to Him.  Today this verse helped me to forget the "not so great" day at work and focus on His provision and steadfast love. When I look up, everything is good.  Nothing like perspective, right? I am so glad I belong to Jesus, when the waves come crashing in, He is faithful to surround me with His kindness and compassion.  I'm still learning not to look on the outward circumstances but to look to God. He is my peace and I will praise Him!

Thanks for visiting! Grace and God's peace to you!

It Moose Be Your birthday! Seize the Birthday challenge

Hello Delightful friends and family!
I haven't played in a challenge in a loooong time!   But couldn't resist sharing this card I made my son Sean for his birthday this week.  I will be linking up at Seize the Birthday (anything goes birthday this week)

I've used three different stamps, one from Avery Elle (Woodland Wonders - trees and bird in the nest) and Lawn Fawn (Critters in the Arctic and Jump for joy) I stamped on watercolor paper (140lb cold press Strathmore) using Archival jet black ink and my Koi watercolors to color.

Thanks for visiting!

Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.  Matthew 7:7

He fights our Battles - Word Art Wednesday

Happy New Year to my Delightful Friends and Family!

Trusting that 2018 is going to be a great year! We are so blessed and I'm so thankful to be here to share this card with you today.  Word Art Wednesday is starting off the new year with a wonderful verse from Deuteronomy, don't forget you can grab the digital art at the challenge blog and copy it for yourself to use if you like. Our sponsors this week are Wild Orchid Crafts (UK) and Paper Smooches ($25 gift card)!  Yay!  Thanks so much to our generous sponsors.  I just saw the list of sponsors for 2018 and it's really really fabulous!  So be sure to check back often and play along for goodness sakes!! You can link up 5 new projects and the challenge last for 2 weeks! Remember it's a family friendly, anything goes challenge.

Here is my card:

My card is pretty simple and I was looking at some of the card sketches I have on my Pinterest board and this is a combination of a couple of different sketches.  I love this pattern paper from Crate Paper called Farmhouse, this design is from the 6x6 paper pad. The card stock is from my stash and I had some different sizes in the same color in my "leftover" tub that matched the pattern paper and I'm really determined to use up those scraps!  I used the Simon Says Stamp Stitched Circle die to cut out the half circle. The paper doily is from Doodlebug Designs. The little bow is hemp cording from Darice. The finished size of the card is an A2 with a white card base.

Here is the Scripture art:
The Lord is promising Joshua not to fear the enemies in the land because He will fight for him.  It's the same for us in the New Testament, the Lord wants us to rely on Him always because He cares for us.  He wants to be our strength when we are weak, He reminds us that He will never leave us nor will He forsake us.  What a precious promise! What wonderful hope we have in Jesus.  He wants to work in us so that He can work through us. We don't have to live in fear, He is always faithful to see us through whatever the circumstance may be.  Are you trusting in Him today?  Make this year of 2018 a year of hope, a year of trust and a year of knowing Jesus more and more through His word and through prayer.  He will not let you down!
Thanks so much for visiting today!
