NORDIC WINTER DIE card class in October

Hey Delightful friends and family!

Just wanted to share a class I'm doing in October at Scrapper's Edge in Eureka, CA.   I'll be using the Nordic Winter Die by Sizzix.  We will be making three cards and a few tags to coordinate.  Here is a photo of my card samples.  They should be going up on the store website (if not today, then next week for sure for the details).  So if you are in the area.... 😇

So I was having some fun with this die and made a bunch of these, here are a few that are not quite finished, I've not added the sentiment yet or the card base.

It was fun and challenging to decide on the background because I wanted to use patterned paper, so I've done a lot of experimenting!

Here are a few more (I had me some fun!)

These last four are in a local store, I can't decide which one I like the best!

Thanks for visiting!

Must Say Thanks - CC&CC 91

Hello Delightful friends and family!
Wow! I'm on a roll this week!  It's nice to get back into a groove with the card making and posting.
Here is a fun card I made using a water color technique of layering the colors then adding gold and black to give a faux glazed glass look.  I shared this technique in my last class at Scrapper's Edge and it was a big hit! The ladies really liked learning this technique and I loved all the different looks everyone came up with.

Here is a list of supplies:  Dies - Taylored Expressions Vase, Spellbinders DeLites Lavender, Sizzix Labels Fancy #6.The sentiment is from Avery Elle, the water colors are a very inexpensive set I got at the lss and I've added Stella Luna (gold ) pen/brush.  The base of the card is Flamingo (Bazzill) and  black card stock.  I've stamped with Archival Jet Black Ink.  LOVE how the vase turned out, it was diecut from the watercolored paper!

Thanks for visiting and enjoy your Friday!!

Birthday Wishes

Happy Belated New Years to my Delightful friends and family!!

I'm really trying to get back into the routine of blogging, not sure why it's been so difficult to get back into a good schedule but that's they way it goes right now... I have many cards to share, just haven't gotten them posted.  I've made ten cards for two upcoming classes in February so I've definitely been busy in the craft cave! Speaking of the craft room, I've been super busy reorganizing and it's been much more efficient (Yay!!) plus my dear hubs bought me a new chair for the room and it's p-e-r-f-e-c-t!!
Here is a card that is part of a six card set for a class I'm doing in February at Scrapper's Edge our local scrapbook store.

Love this paper from Kaiser Craft called Blue Bay.  The dies I've used are Taylored Expressions (Party Time set) and Lawn Fawn (Stitched Hillside Border).  My card base is Desert Storm c/s and Technique Tuesday (Sunflower) is the sentiment stamp. The sequins and seam binding ribbon are from my stash.
I will be entering this card at the following challenge blogs:
Seize the Birthday (anything goes with a topping of "Party")                                                       I'm bringing the balloons to the party!

So glad you've stopped by!  Have a great weekend!

I will praise God's name in song and glorify Him with thanksgiving.  Psalm 69:30

Today is my son Sean's birthday so "Happy Birthday" Sean!!!  I'm bummed I didn't take a picture of the card I made him (it was a funny one) or a picture of the plate of Macaroons I made either! :-)

Card Class and a Sneak Peek

Hello Delightful friends and family!
Brrr is it cold or what?!  Not freezing cold as the east coast nevertheless there has definitely been a change here in northern California.
I wanted to share some pics from my class last week.  I can't believe how many times I've sat down to start this post and life kept getting in the way (kwim??)  Anyway, I told the ladies I was going to put them on my blog so best keep my word! (Hello Britteny!!)

I had 12 fun ladies attend class!

I set up stations (Embossing & Die-cutting with the Cuttlebugs, Embossing Powder and Stamping)

Fun time!

Here is a pic of the cards we made!

Sneak peak of January Class

This CAS Thanks card could easily be mass produced and just change up the sentiment die for a different occasion!  The thanks die is from Lawn Fawn and the designer paper is from Simple Stories.
This is a sneak peek at one of the 4 cards we will be making in my January class at the lss. Perfect time to make some thank you cards, right!?  We will be doing 2 winter "thanks" cards and 2 all occasion "thanks" and my plan is to do 2 masculine and 2 that are more on the feminine side. This photo doesn't show the kraft colored embossed woodgrain paper well at all.  We just got it at Scrapper's Edge and it is 12x12, it also comes in black and gray. The texture is subtle and I think adding a little bit of ink over it would make it stand out better in the photo (hmmmm, the creative juices are beginning to flow... lol! ) The paper will be perfect for scrapbooking those masculine/outdoorsy layouts, too!  What do ya think?

Well thanks for visiting!  Have a great day and stay warm!

Rejoice in the LORD and be glad, you righteous; sing, all you who are upright in heart.      Psalm 32:11
