Altered Manila folder Scrapbook - Part 4 The End!

 Hello Delightful friends and family
This is my last installment of the Altered Scrapbook from manila folders!  I hope I've inspired you to make one!

I like putting journaling tags on the pages so that Momma or Daddy could write to sweet baby girl.  I hope that they will, it would be a real treasure years down the road.
I've used a scallop eyelet die from Taylored Expressions for the border of the tag.  The frame is the Spellbinder Nestabilities die. I adhered 3 sides and left one side open to slide the picture in.  The alpha Stamp set is from Lawn Fawn.

The flower paper is double-sided and I've used the back side to embellish with the scallop eyelet border (Taylored Expressions) and the Spellbinder Nestabilities die to frame out a picture and make the journaling tag. The button is from Doodlebug and the ribbon American Crafts.

Stamp set is Lawn Fawn and Designer paper is from MMI; the card stock of the right is Bazzill.

This stamp set is from The Sweet Stamp Shop (Happy Bugs), lace (KaiserCraft)

LAST PAGE!!!!  I've used a vellum envelope, more pre-made journaling tags and a custom flower (Taylored Expressions KI kit, flower).  I've colored it with Memento cantaloupe ink and then added a button (Doodlebug) and some natural hemp (Darice).  Not pictured is another mini bag and tag with a personal note from me slipped inside this envelope.

Well....Th th th th that's ALL folks!  Thanks again for checking out the altered manila folder scrapbook!  It was a fun project.  I hope you'll give it a try!  God bless!

NSD Challenge at Sweet Stamp Shop

Hello Delightful friends and family,
Here is a sneak peak of a page of the manila folder scrapbook I worked on at National Scrapbook Day at Scrapper's Edge.

After cutting the folder in half, I misted the page with water (Mini Mister) and then adding three colors of Distress Stains (Ranger) on my Craft Sheet (Ranger), I placed the wet folder onto the stains to get the background.  It's a little more involved than just that but not much!  After drying it with my heat gun I use a blending tool and Distress inks (Ranger) to go around the edges of the folder.  Then I stamped the page with butterflies (Hero Arts). I cut a piece of card stock (Bazzill), rounded the corners (EK Success corner rounder), stamped (Memento, Tuxedo Black) the cute little bug and sentiment (Sweet Stamp Shop) I colored the little cutie with my Copic Markers, adhered to the page and added the lace trim(KaiserCraft). All that is needed is an adorable picture of my new niece!  Each page is embellished before the Bind-it-All was used to put the pages together.

Stay tuned for some more pages, I just wanted to get this on my blog for the NSD challenge at Sweet Stamp Shop (using stamps on your page)

Thanks for visiting, I can hardly wait to share the other pages!!

Cute As a Bug!

Hello Delightful friends and family,
Here is a layout I did for NSD, well actually it's for Tucker Lynn's scrapbook!  But I used stamps to embellish the layout.  The stamp set is the cutest!  It is called Happy Bugs from the Sweet Stamp Shop.
I stamped (Memento, Tuxedo Black)  the 3-dimensional lady bug 4 times.  Once on the green Bazzill card stock, twice on red Bazzill card stock and once on white Neenah card stock.  I colored the one stamped on the Neenah using my Copics (T8) I cut out the red (2) and added Spica Pens to the dots for a little glimmer. They were all glued down with the last red body only partly glued and the wings tilted up. The two other ladybugs were stamped 3x.  Once on red, once on white and once on the green for placement.

The Designer paper (ADORNit)  was a 12x12 piece that was in my "goodie bag" from NSD at Scrapper's Edge.  The ribbon was in my stash.  I've also used the Upper Crest Border punch from Fiskars.  Sorry about the shadows, I guess I need to get onto the guys in my family to make me a light box.

Tucker Lynn is just cute as a bug, I can say that, she's my youngest granddaughter!

Thanks for visiting.

It's a "Spectacular" Girl Thing!

Hello delightful friends and family!
The weekend is almost here and so is National Scrapbook Day.  Lots of fun planned at Scrapper's Edge our lss where I work and this time I get to play instead of work! Yay!!
I can't believe I was able to squeeze in a card before I start organizing my stuff and loading up the car (that's going to take some time while watching my two little grandkids who love to "help" Grammie!)

Here's my card and you know that "bling" is a girl thing so I made sure my fun glasses were blinged up with my Spica Pens.  I've also added a couple of Hero Hues (Hero Arts) adhesive gems to add to the bling. The paper is Authentique "Delightful" Collection and the fun glasses and sentiment is from the Sweet Stamp Shop (Spectacle set).  Other than the bling this design is pretty clean.  The sketch is from the challenge blog    Deconstructing Jen and this is Deconstructed Sketch #50 this is my first time playing with this challenge blog and I kept this very true to the sketch.  I'm also playing along with Play Date Cafe #130  and the color combo is Dolphin, Salmon, Sea Glass.  I'm also entering this in the Spectacular Spectacles Challenge in the Moxie Fab World. Be sure and head over to all these sites and check out all the inspiration.

So glad this pic shows the glimmer!

Other ingredients: Bazzill card stock and Neenah bright white card stock; Memento tuxedo black ink.

Have a great weekend and I'm hoping to have my project finished for my new great niece and some scrapbook pages completed for my youngest granddaughter, Tucker! With 12 hours of crop time I hope I can get something accomplished (!) and I'll share next week.

It's Friday! "Just Scootin by" with a Couple of Challenges

Hello Delightful Friends and Family!!
You all are probably excited because it's FRIDAY!!  (It's also payday, double YAY!!)  Hope you've all had a great week.  I have my house de-Christmasized with the help of my dear hubby and it's back to normal (somewhat normal, I still have the Christmas tablecloth under the "stuff" on the kitchen table that will be next on the list today to take care of!) And I must admit, there are dishes in the sink because I spent the evening after Bible Study in my craft room.  I've a number of birthdays this month and I needed to get a start on some cards!  So I let it slide.... It's so like me :-)

I was inspired by a couple of challenges and I was excited to use my Sweet Stamp Shop stamps (Scootin' By set) since they are sponsoring the prize at the Play Date Cafe Challenge blog AND I could incorporate some Kraft paper (which I love to use!)

Hey there Delightful friends and family!
Here's a super cute new stamp I've gotten from The Sweet Stamp Shop (Nicole Rixon, owner).  I've been following Savannah O'Gwynn ( Savannahland2 blog) for quite a while and saw her using some of these stamps and she shared a nice way to store the stamps on YouTube. So easy and makes so much sense!  Thanks Savannah!!!

I just love this scooter, it's perfect for paper piecing (One is in my gallery at Christian Paper Crafts) and now this one which I've colored with Copics Markers.  I've lots of fall birthdays in my family so I'll be using this one soon!

Have you not known? Have you not heard? The everlasting God, the LORD, The Creator of the ends of the earth, Neither faints nor is weary. His understanding is unsearchable.  Isaiah 40:28
