Word Art Wednesday Challenge - Give Thanks and Praise

Hello Delightful Friends!

November has turned cold and wet here in northern California.  Brrr... so glad we have a cozy warm living room with the fireplace.  We got a new insert for the fireplace and had it checked out to make sure it was safe.  Hopefully this will help with the expected high heating bills.  Of course that means we need firewood, so guess what we've been doing (with the help of our grandson!)  Hope you all are staying warm!

It's time for our Word Art Wednesday Anything Goes (Family Friendly) Challenge!  Our sponsor this week is DRS Designs hope you'll visit their blog HERE, get inspired!! Cute Christmas stamps 😊
I've used their SNOWGLOBE rubber stamp.  It's a great size and fun to be creative with. I could probably do a snowglobe design for every season - fun!!  I like to "stretch" my stamps!

The Scripture Art is from Psalm 79:13.  It starts out saying "we are the people and sheep of His pasture"  My card doesn't use sheep but it does use a buck!  I should of waited until we have the verse Psalm 42:1 which says :As the hart panteth after the water brooks, ao panteth my soul after Thee O God"

Here is a list of the supplies I used:
Stamp: DRS Snowglobe
Dies: Cottage Cutz (Trees) Stitched Hillside (Lawn Fawn);                                                          RangerThinlits Petite size Snow globe & cut outs.
Ink: Sea Salt, Sprinkles, Toffee
Paper: Fall Fling 6x6 (Lawn Fawn) Poblano Pepper (Taylored Expressions)
Supplies: scissors (EK), blender brushes (TE),

Thanks so much for visiting!

Word Art Wednesday - God is More Than Enough

Hello Delightful friends,

I have an encouraging card to share today for the Word Art Wednesday Challenge (Anything Goes / Family Friendly).  I like to find different ways to use my stamps and dies and so that was my mindset when I started planning this one.  I knew I was going to incorporate the Starry Background (DRS Designs, our sponsor this week).   So, I had been thinking on this for a few days.  I also changed my mind a few times!! I've used 5 different dies from different companies too. But I really like how it turned out!

Here is my card (ingredients and steps follow):

First I picked out some pieces of card stock from my stash and stamped the Starry Background using Versamark Ink.  I used the Ranger White Embossing powder, then heat set it.  Then I die cut the balloons, I diecut a bunch of them but only used three on my card.  The die was from the Party Time set from Taylored Expressions (I think it's retired though...). The strings for the balloons are part of the set and so is the tiny bow.  I glued the strings to the back of the balloons and set them aside.  Next I used the Stitched Scallop Rectangle die (Pink Fresh Studios) and choose one of the cute plaids from the Doodlebug Designs 6x6 pad (Made With Love set).  It's double sided and the yellow polk-a-dot paper hillside is the backside of the plaid. I die cut it using the Simple Stitched Hillside die from Lawn Fawn.
Now to put it together:  On the card base, adhere the yellow hillside (make sure it's just a tad bit smaller than the card base so that it fits beneath the plaid "rectangle frame" After those two are glued down stamp the sentiment, I've used Earl Grey ink (Taylored Expressions) and the sentiment is from Sweet 'N Sassy Stamps called God is for You.  Then start arranging the balloons, I've popped up the light green and yellow balloons with dimensional tape after I glued down the teal balloon.  Lastly I added the teeny tiny bow and a clear Bits & Pieces Drip Drop (T.E.) to the balloon strings.
Seems like a lot of steps but once I knew what I wanted to do, the card came together quickly.

Hope you like it and I do appreciate you visiting.  Don't forget to play along with us at Word Art Wednesday, the challenge lasts for two weeks and you can link up 5 new projects a week!

Remember, no matter what you are facing in this crazy life, the Lord will be with you and He is more than enough to see you through.  Jesus will never leave you, nor will He forsake you.

Blessings!

Spring Globe Scene - Word Art Wednesday

Hello Delightful friends!

I have a fun card to share for our Word Art Wednesday Challenge which features the Snow Globe from DRS Designs, a Christmas stamp that I've changed into a Spring Globe!  It took very little masking and I kept it pretty simple but just think of the possibilities with this stamp! I love versatility.
Thank you DRS Designs for sponsoring the prize for this weeks challenge at Word Art Wednesday!! Please play along with us, it's Anything Goes - Family Friendly challenge.

I've stamped on 100# Bristol Vellum paper and then watercolored the images with Zig Clean Color Brushes.  I used very little water to blend.  The cute images are from a Lawn Fawn Butterfly Kisses set. I masked using post-it notes.  I popped up the globe on the designer paper which was a scrap from Simple Stories Oh Happy Day 12x12 paper.

inside of card:

The inside was colored with pencils and I cut out the Scripture art with a circle die and using my trimmer I made a straight cut at the bottom of the circle to match up with the globe.  Thankfully I sized my Scripture art to fit perfectly!! I totally guessed!

The Scripture this week is Ephesians 3:20 "Now to Him that is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, vs 21 to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever, Amen
Oh to know and understand the love that Christ Jesus has for us!  It passes all knowledge and then to be able to realize He alone is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or even think and then work in us to bring Him glory.  It truly is mind blowing isn't it?!  If we know Him and love Him we want to please Him by living an obedient and sanctified life.  Seek Him and dig into His Word and be filled with His Spirit. You will experience the joy of the Lord.

Have an incredible week, thanks for visiting.
