Word Art Wednesday - God is More Than Enough

Hello Delightful friends,

I have an encouraging card to share today for the Word Art Wednesday Challenge (Anything Goes / Family Friendly).  I like to find different ways to use my stamps and dies and so that was my mindset when I started planning this one.  I knew I was going to incorporate the Starry Background (DRS Designs, our sponsor this week).   So, I had been thinking on this for a few days.  I also changed my mind a few times!! I've used 5 different dies from different companies too. But I really like how it turned out!

Here is my card (ingredients and steps follow):

First I picked out some pieces of card stock from my stash and stamped the Starry Background using Versamark Ink.  I used the Ranger White Embossing powder, then heat set it.  Then I die cut the balloons, I diecut a bunch of them but only used three on my card.  The die was from the Party Time set from Taylored Expressions (I think it's retired though...). The strings for the balloons are part of the set and so is the tiny bow.  I glued the strings to the back of the balloons and set them aside.  Next I used the Stitched Scallop Rectangle die (Pink Fresh Studios) and choose one of the cute plaids from the Doodlebug Designs 6x6 pad (Made With Love set).  It's double sided and the yellow polk-a-dot paper hillside is the backside of the plaid. I die cut it using the Simple Stitched Hillside die from Lawn Fawn.
Now to put it together:  On the card base, adhere the yellow hillside (make sure it's just a tad bit smaller than the card base so that it fits beneath the plaid "rectangle frame" After those two are glued down stamp the sentiment, I've used Earl Grey ink (Taylored Expressions) and the sentiment is from Sweet 'N Sassy Stamps called God is for You.  Then start arranging the balloons, I've popped up the light green and yellow balloons with dimensional tape after I glued down the teal balloon.  Lastly I added the teeny tiny bow and a clear Bits & Pieces Drip Drop (T.E.) to the balloon strings.
Seems like a lot of steps but once I knew what I wanted to do, the card came together quickly.

Hope you like it and I do appreciate you visiting.  Don't forget to play along with us at Word Art Wednesday, the challenge lasts for two weeks and you can link up 5 new projects a week!

Remember, no matter what you are facing in this crazy life, the Lord will be with you and He is more than enough to see you through.  Jesus will never leave you, nor will He forsake you.

Blessings!

Word Art Wednesday Challenge

Hello Delightful Friends!

Here is my card for the Word Art Wednesday Challenge. (Anything Goes - Family Friendly challenge) Our sponsor this week is The Project Bin. They have some cute stamps be sure and check them out!
I have to keep this short and sweet!  My 3 granddaughters are playing softball and so we've been at the field 3 to 4 nights a week and Saturdays.  Crazy busy working full time but having a lot of fun watching the girls!
Hope you are able to play along the next two weeks for a chance to win $15 to shop at The Project Bin.

Card ingredients:
Best Buds Stamp and Stencil Combo - Taylored Expressions
Inks: Lemon Meringue, Peaches 'n Cream and Sweet Basil - Taylored Expressions
Neenah Bright White Card Stock
Foam Sticky Strips - Taylored Expressions

I used two of the rectangle dies to make a frame after I had stenciled and stamped the design on a 4.25" x 5.5 piece of white card stock. I cut 3 pieces of white card stock and adhered them together and then used them to pop up the middle die cut stenciled & stamped piece, I also added the Foam Sticky Strips for more dimension.  The Scripture Art from Matthew 6:34 was also die cut from the Stitched Rectangle set.  I made sure I had matched up the flowers before adhering the pieces together.

As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving. Colossians 2:6-7

Thanks for visiting and may the Lord Jesus bless and keep you safe!

Word Art Wednesday Challenge - Guess who our sponsor is this week?

Hello Delightful Friends!

Time for another fun challenge at Word Art Wednesday!  Our sponsor this week is a favorite company of mine: Lawn Fawn! Be sure and check out their site and visit their blog for fun and instructional videos, too! Our challenge is Anything Goes/Family Friendly and you can share 5 new projects each week the challenge runs (2 weeks).  The more you share with us the more chances of winning a $25 gift certificate to Lawn Fawn!

Here is my card:

The Lawn Fawn products I've used are Under the Stars stamp set; Starry Night and Simple Stitched Hillside dies. I've add a bit of Nuvo Crystal Drops for dimension.  My bunnies were stamped with Taylored Expressions Oreo hybrid ink and colored with pencils and the stars were stamped with a white ink. The Scripture Art is from Galatians 5:13 "For brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another."
Wouldn't it be nice if the protesters/rioters would live by those words. Things are so ugly right now especially in the big cities.  It's so sad.  Many prayers are needed to continue for peace and that people would lovingly serving one another instead of hating and walking in the flesh which is being influenced by the enemy of our soul (the devil). So many are deceived and blinded with hate.

Help us Lord...
Thanks for visiting.

Word Art Wednesday - Just a Note

Hello Delightful Friends,

It's time for another Word Art Wednesday challenge with our wonderful sponsor the Stamp Simply Ribbon Store providing the prize for this weeks Anything Goes/Family Friendly challenge.  Thank you Sharon Johnson!! We appreciate your generosity. Remember to visit our challenge blog and join the fun and be sure and check out the Stamp Simply Ribbon Store!

Here is my card:

I've used the Stamp Simply stamp set called Farmhouse Signage (animal silhouettes and arrow - that's 4 separate stamps that I've stacked with no masking and the "Just a Note"sentiment!)
I've used 4 different dies from 3 different companies: Stitched Mountain borders, Stitched Hillside from Lawn Fawn; Stitched Circle from Simon Says stamp!; the tiny flowers are a flower border die from Taylored Expressions which comes in a set of 4(retired), I cut the border 3 times in different colors and added Nuvo Jewel Drops in the center. Archival Jet Black Ink was used to stamp the images and the Just a Note.  Card stock is Bazzill.

The Scripture art is from Hebrews 1:10 which is stating that Lord Jesus is Creator.  Also in this portion of the book of Hebrews the writer uses Old Testament verses to prove the superiority of Jesus over the angels, the writer actually uses 7 different verses to convince the Jewish believers of this fact and that the Son of God is described with attributes and items that belong only to God, proving that He is God in the flesh.  "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God and the Word was God." John 1:1 Jesus Christ has always existed and will exist eternally                           He is the living Word!

Thanks for visiting!  Stay healthy and God bless.

Encouraging Words and Wavin' Hello

Hello Delightful Friends!
Hope your week is going well!  This week at Word Art Wednesday our sponsor is Lawn Fawn!  Yay!  Love their products (as you can see by my card I've used a lot of their fun dies and stamps).  Here is a link to their fun blog.  Our bi-weekly challenge gives you plenty of time to enter into the challenge and remember you can enter 5 times each week with a new project!  Looking forward to checking out the inspiration!  The challenge is Anything Goes - Family Friendly.

Here is my card:

Front

                                                                             Inside

Ingredients:  (Lawn Fawn)
Lawn Fawn Dies: Ocean Wave border, Spring Showers (sun), Butterfly Kisses (clouds)
Stamps: Critters in the Sea (dolphin, crab and wavin' hello sentiment); Polka in the Meadow 6x6 paper pad.

Here is our Scripture Art (free to use!) for this week that the design team used:

I thought this verse would be perfect as an encouraging word to a friend and a special birthday blessing for the upcoming year.  I know it's my prayer for myself!  Remembering to stay joyful while growing as a Christian can be a challenge.  Growing pains can be painful but know that the Lord is increasing us in strength and knowledge in Him is a real blessing.  I've been teaching a ladies group in our church and we are studying in Hebrews and we are in chapter 6 which is a very challenging chapter.  But knowing that the Lord is with us and encouraging us in the walk, knowing that we can endure whatever comes our way because He will give us His strong consolation/encouragement to persevere is priceless.  Our hearts our strengthened knowing that the Lord Jesus is our strong refuge in tough times and knowing that God's promises are true and that He cannot lie gives us faith to walk between the times we understand the promise and when the promise is fulfilled. He is always faithful and everyday we can trust Him - and that's a wonderful promise. To God be all the glory!

The Lord is my Defense - Word Art Wednesday

Happy Fall Everyone!
I love this time of the year. Perfect weather here where I live.  We just got back from visiting our daughter in Lewiston and stayed at the cutest very rustic place.  The Lewiston Inn.  I will post some pics at the end.  But first I need to post my card for Word Art Wednesday (Anything Goes - Family Friendly) challenge blog.  I did come down with a nasty head cold, super scratchy throat (hurts to swallow even) and a very runny nose with the sinus headache to boot, no fun.  Thankfully this card was made a head of time because I'm sitting here with a tissue stuffed in my nose so I can type!

I made my own stencil with a Lawn Fawn Stitched Leaf die and made my own background.  Then die cut the middle piece with the Avery Elle Reversed Pinked Die.  I popped up the center piece with fun foam so there is separation from the "frame" of the die. The leaf is from the Lawn Fawn large stitched leaves and I colored it with Distress Inks and then embossed it with clear embossing powder.  The card base is Bazzill Candy Corn (8.5 x 11) that I've cut to A2 size.  I've mat the Scripture Art with that same card stock.  Love the fall colors! (Distress Inks: Mustard Seed, Peeled Paint, Rusty Hinge, Spiced Marmalade, Barn Door and Gathered Twigs).

Here are a couple of pictures of the view from our room which was right near the river. We were too busy to go fishing but it was so nice to get away to this rustic way out in the country inn. It was so peaceful and a perfect getaway.  We hope to go back. The rooms were cozy and clean.

The pictures don't do it justice!

Thanks for visiting! And don't forget to play along with us at Word Art Wednesday.  Check out the blog and see who the sponsors are!!! You can link up 5 new projects each week.  Ok my head is definitely getting fuzzy and so I need to sign off.  Enjoy the week.

Be Brave, Be Strong - Word Art Wednesday challenge

Hey there!
It's time for another Word Art Wednesday Anything Goes (Family Friendly) Challenge!! Autumn is just a little over a week away and we are beginning to feel the cooler mornings here in northern California.  This is a beautiful time of the year, cool mornings with warm afternoons and evenings.  The sunsets have been gorgeous but I've not captured them on camera yet.
My card today definitely has the fall theme going with some colorful leaves to accent.  I've used some 140# cold press watercolor paper and Prima Decadent Pies and Classic watercolors to color, then die cut using the Lawn Fawn Stitched leaves dies.
Our sponsor this week is  Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.  I've used a sweet sentiment from the stamp set called "Thinking of You Rose" on the inside of the card (see second photo). I love the font on this sentiment! I've used a small leaf stamp from Photo Play to continue the Fall theme on the inside.  The Scripture art and the sentiment on the inside are a perfect match!
Hope you will join us and link your project over at Word Art Wednesday for a chance to win a prize.

I've stamped the inside using Archival Tree Branch ink.  On the card front, I've diecut the Scripture Art using a Simon Says Stamp Stitched Circle and a Spellbinder Scallop Circle die was used to cut from the bright yellowish-gold card stock (I think it's Bazzill). The pattern paper is Carta Bella Fall Break (6x6 paper pad).  The card base is a natural Neenah 80# c/s and I've added a dark brown layer, then a yellow-gold, then the pattern paper popped up with fun foam and then the Scripture art and leaves with some white with gold bakers twine and Doodlebug Designs Glossy Enamel Sprinkle embellishes the right side.

The Scripture this week is a wonderful admonition or encouragement for us to be on guard (like a soldier) for our enemy (the devil) is out to divide and conquer.  Boy do we ever see that today in every aspect of society.  Nothing weakens a nation like division.  So, although Paul is speaking in a spiritual sense to be watchful, stand fast in the faith, be brave and be strong, he is encouraging us as believers in Christ not to be tossed to and fro with every wind of doctrine, but to stand strong like a soldier in the faith.  Even Jesus commanded us to watch (Matt 24:42, 26:41 and Mark 13:37).  The Old Testament has lots to say about being a watchman, warning others of danger.  And then we must be watching for the Lord's return too. I'm so grateful for the Holy Spirit who enables and equips us to be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power. I must admit, within myself I am weak but with Jesus and the leading of the Holy Spirit I am ready for anything.  I'm ready to pray (which is a powerful privilege) and I have the Word of God for the battle, the sword of the Spirit.  In 1 Corinthians 16:14 the very next verse after telling me to be brave and strong it tells us: "Let all that you do be done with love" now that's something that will bring victory in my life.  I think, if we were all motivated by the love of Jesus working in us and through us, our nation wouldn't be in such a mess.  After all, the Word says they (the world)  would know we were Jesus disciples by our love for one another. This may rub you the wrong way but how is it love, if we don't warn others of sin.  Sin separates us from our loving Father.  Talking about sin isn't "politically correct" and it's the thing that creates division and disunity. Lord, expose the darkness and shine Your light through us who believe.
God, please help us not to be spiritually blind but to repent and humble ourselves and walk in a way that pleases You. Only You can help us to be brave and strong and to love one another.

Thanks for visiting!  Have a blessed week.

You are the Potter - Word Art Wednesday (340 & 341)

Hello Delightful Friends and Family!
Here is my card for this weeks Word Art Wednesday!  Our sponsor is Stamp Simply Ribbon Store and Imagine That! (digital).  I hope you'll be able to play along - you have 2 weeks to play and can link up 5 new projects a week.  The challenge is Anything Goes - Family Friendly.  We have so many great projects/cards linked up each week, it is so encouraging seeing so many play along.  Thanks so much to our two sponsors for provided the prizes!!! Be sure to visit their blogs and be inspired by their design teams!

Ingredients:
Stamp: Thinking of You Rose (Stamp Simply Ribbon Store - our sponsor this week!); I stamped it with Distress Ink Victorian Rose to give it a "no line" watercolor look.
Zig Clean Color Real Brush: Light Carmine, Olive Green, Mid Green, Yellow, and Pink.  Silver Black Velvet brush #4
Paper: Base (Neenah bright white 80#); Designer Paper: Beau Jardin (Penny Black 6x6 paper pad); Strathmore 140# cold press watercolor paper.
Dies: Lawn Fawn Peek A Boo Backdrop; Spellbinders Nestabilities Circle and Scallop Circle dies;
I printed the Scripture Art on white vellum.
I probably should have put a little more thought into this card to fit the verse.  If I were to do it again, I would put the rose in a pottery container!

What a wonderful verse to remind us that we have been created by our heavenly Father. He knows each imperfection in this clay called Natalie! He tenderly keeps molding and forming me into His Son's image and when there is a nick or mar in me, He gently works on that area of my life and in His timing and His adjustments in the temperature He smooths over those spots to remove the wrinkles or sometimes it's just a little washing of Word in my life that produces something beautiful in His eyes. I am so grateful that I am in His hands.

Thanks for taking the time to visit! And have a blessed week.

God is Faithful - Word Art Wednesday

Hello and blessings to my delightful friends and family,
Time for another fun Anything Goes - Family Friendly challenge at Word Art Wednesday (#294-295)!
Hope you've been able to play along and if not maybe this week you can join us.  You can link up to 5 new projects.  We would love for you to play along. This week our sponsors are Frantic Stamper (online store) and Craftin' Desert Diva's (2 digis) and there are lots to choose from! Thank you to our Sponsors! Be sure and visit their blogs and check out their shops!

Here is my card:

Our Scripture art is from 1 Corinthians 10:13 and it's not too clear in the photo (so sorry), you can grab it at Word Art Wednesday or here below (it's free to use!).

Paul reminds us in the verse that God is faithful when we are faced with temptation.  If we are willing, He will make a way out for us.  Notice I said "if we are willing" unfortunately we have a tendency to let our flesh nature get the best of us or we reason that what we are doing isn't so bad, but God definitely has higher standards for His children.  This is where His faithfulness comes into play for us.  Because we belong to Him and He loves us so much the Lord will make a way for us to escape the temptation which will lead to sin.  He makes us aware of it sometimes through a verse that comes to mind, or "a check" or "uneasiness" in our spirit, or the Lord will send someone our way (divine appointment!) to help us through whatever difficulty it may be.  BUT GOD IS FAITHFUL... such true and profound words.  I'm so glad I serve such a loving Father that has sent His Holy Spirit to walk alongside me not to trip me up or trick me but to encourage and help me stay on the path towards Him.  God is most definitely faithful!

Ingredients to my card:
Stamps: Simon Says Stamp Gingham background and Wild Cuddly Critters;
Dies: Lawn Fawn - Spring Showers and Stitched Hillside borders;
Taylored Expressions - Rolling Clouds die;
Inks: Memento Tuxedo Black; Distress Oxide Broken China
Copic Markers to color.

Thanks so much for visiting and have a blessed week!

Wisdom and Understanding - Word Art Wednesday #244 and #245

Hello Delightful friends and family!
Summer is scooting by isn't it?  Hubby and I are getting ready for a quick trip to San Francisco to catch a couple of baseball games and celebrate our 40th anniversary and hopefully get a little R&R.
Of course I couldn't go without posting a card for this weeks Word Art Wednesday Family Friendly Anything Goes Challenge!
Here is my card:

\

Here are the ingredients:
Base: Neenah bright white card stock A2 size
Next layer: Dark brown card stock
White Vellum die cut with Lawn Fawn Stitched Journal set
Leaf embossing folder (not sure of the maker) used on Neenah c/s and blended with Distress Inks
Lawn Fawn Stitched Leaves Die cut on water color paper (Ranger)
Distress Inks: Peeled Paint, Rusty Hinge, Scattered Straw, Barn Door, Aged Mahogany.
Scripture Art - Proverbs 24:3-4

This is the perfect Scripture this week since my husband & I will be celebrating our 40th anniversary. It's through the wisdom and understanding that the Lord has given us to persevere through difficult times. And it's the knowledge that it is our Savior who has filled us with the love we need to overlook the little things that annoy us so. (Ha! you know what they are!)  I think the secret to a successful marriage is no secret at all.  Think of a marriage as a triangle with Jesus at the top, you at one side and your husband on the other side.  The closer you draw near to Jesus the closer you get to your husband! The other help is to pray for your husbands weaknesses and encourage him in his strengths. Watch the Lord fill your lives with all precious and pleasant riches that money cannot buy.

Through wisdom a house is built,
And by understanding it is established;
By knowledge the rooms are filled
With all precious and pleasant riches.
Proverbs 24:3-4

HAVE A GREAT WEEK AND THANKS FOR VISITING!

P.S. Please pray for one of our  DT members Carole Robb-Bisson she is seriously ill and needing a physical healing.  Thanks so much!

Simon Says Stamp - You Have My Heart - DieCember Celebration!

Hello Delightful Friends and Family,
This is my second attempt to write this post.  It just disappeared on me earlier, not sure what I did but boy is that frustrating! I received happy mail this week from Simon Says Stamp so I was just pleased as punch because it was unexpected! Love it! So, I had to make a card, of course.  Perfect for this months DieCember Die Crazy challenge.  The die I've used from the new release You Have My Heart is called Love Bouquet.  Be sure and check out Simon Says Stamp new release - it's pretty awesome!

Here is my card:

I've also used the "Sending" die and the "Big Hugs" die (Hugs only on this card) both from Simon Says Stamp and then the tiny hearts are from a die set from Lawn Fawn called Journaling.
I've die cut the Love bouquet twice, once in black and once in bright pink (bubblegum) and then with the Uni-Ball Signo white pen drew in the stitch lines.  I've added the black die cuts into the leaves that were open as well as a few background areas.    No stamping at all on this card! The designer paper is from Simple Stories.  I haven't played in a challenge is so long other than Word Art Wednesday where I'm on the DT, so this was a lot of fun!

Thanks so much for visiting!

You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You.  Isaiah 26:3

Nature Sings with Joy - Word Art Wednesday #192

Hello Delightful Friends and Family!
I love trying new techniques and with this card I've used the Stitched Hillside Border (Lawn Fawn) to add a bit of interest on my water color background.  After the watercolor was dry I trimmed out the background to 4" x 5-1/8" and then die cut the background pieces.  I simply taped them back together on the backside. I love the breezy/wavy feel to the card. I added dimensional tape to pop it up on the white card base.  Then I stamped and doodled on the flowers with a black micron pen and a white pen (nothing fancy!) I punched out the digi Scripture with a large scallop oval punch. It reminded me of a cloud so of course I had to add the sun peeking over the edge.
Isn't this a great verse!  Nothing like a little singing to bring out the joy!  Even in the midst of trials it's amazing how singing to the Lord can lift your spirit! Even nature seems to be singing and clapping it's hands at times.

I hope you will consider joining us this week at Word Art Wednesday, it's challenge #192!  We are a family friendly challenge blog and we would love for you to join us.  We have fabulous sponsors that are so generous, most weeks there are more than one prize to win!  Be sure and check out what the Design Team is sharing this week and leave them some love!

Here are the ingredients to my card!
Stamp: Taylored Expressions - Faith in Bloom (flowers); and Lawn Fawn- Seasons Tweetings (musical notes);
Dies: Lawn Fawn Stitched Hillside border (background) and Spring Showers (sun)
Punch: Scallop Oval (Marvy Uchida)
Re-Inkers: Mermaid Lagoon and Twisted Citron (Ranger Distress Inks)
Ranger Water color paper
Neenah Bright white card stock
Uni-ball Signa Broad white pen
Archival Jet Black ink

Thanks so much for visiting!!
