Word Art Wednesday Challenge - Sending Sunshine!

Hello Delightful Friends!

Just getting back from a few days of vacation.  My husband I celebrated our 49th anniversary so we took off a few days from work and headed northeast for a little rest and relaxation.  Little did we know that we were heading into a heatwave. We knew it would be warmer, but it was thirty-five degrees hotter than what we were used to!  Thank the Lord for air conditioners!  We did get to relax, did a little shopping, had a nice dinner for our anniversary and I got to read a book by the pool, in the shade, under an umbrella and lots of water.
But I'm back in time for our next challenge at Word Art Wednesday and we have a delightful sponsor - Pear Blossom Press.  My goodness you have to check out their blog and store! They have online tutorials, livestreaming and Zoom classes on Sundays.
I have used the One Light package for my card to light up the sun.  I think it turned out pretty cute and it was really easy to assemble.  The whole center of the sun lights up when you press the stamped word "PUSH".  You can get an idea how it shines by the candle on the birthday card in the package.

Here's my card:

Ingredients:
Paper: Yellow Glitter card stock, Sugar Cube card stock, Sprinkles card stock (Taylored Expressions) Sending Sunshine Remix 6x6 (Lawn Fawn- blue clouds)
Stamp: Simple Sending Stamp & Die (TE); Checking In background stamp (TE)
Ink: Sprinkles, Sweet Corn, (TE) Versafine Clair Nocturne;
Dies: Cloud Stacklets (TE) Spring Showers (Lawn Fawn)

Thanks for visiting and hope you'll be playing along with the challenge.  Don't forget you can upload 5 new projects a week for a chance to win the sponsored prize.  It's an Anything Goes - Family Friendly challenge and for more details head over to Word Art Wednesday!

See you back in a couple of weeks for another challenge with another sponsor!  Have a blessed day!

Word Art Wednesday Challenge - Stamp Simply

Hello Delightful Friends!

Time for our Anything Goes Challenge at Word Art Wednesday!
Our sponsor this week is Stamp Simply, who has been a faithful sponsor over the years. (Thank you so much for your support!) Be sure and check out their blog for some outstanding inspiration!
I've used a sentiment from the Seasonal Wreath set (Spring & Summer) and Fishtail Sentiment Banner from our Sponsor's collection. I love this sentiment "find the beauty in every day" perfect sentiment to encourage someone. Sometimes we just need a reminder to "smell the roses" and to "look on the bright side".

Here is my card:

Here is the Scripture Art for this week:

Word Art Wednesday - Divinity Designs

Hello Delightful Friends!

Spring is just a few days away, HOORAY! I'm looking forward to the warmer weather, although here where I live, Springtime is still cold with wind & rain but at least it's not freezing ⛅⛈ but you must always carry an umbrella!
I have two of my granddaughter's playing softball and we still have to bundle up until late May. The coastal areas are always about 10 degrees cooler than where I live.

It's time for another challenge with Word Art Wednesday and our sponsor this time is Divinity Designs.  The prize is $25 to be used in their online store.  I've used their Scripture stamp on my card this time, rather than using the Scripture Art available this week through WAW.  This stamp is from the Scripture Collection #4 (it includes 6 Scriptures in this set) check out the monthly new releases and the talented Design Team.
In order to win the sponsor prize, you'll need to share your crafty project (Anything Goes - Family Friendly) at Word Art Wednesday, you can share up to 5 new projects per week of the challenge (2 week challenge)
Here is my card:

Scripture Art available to upload at Word Art Wednesday (I may put this on the inside of the card)

Other ingredients:
If the stenciling looks familiar, you can see it in my last post, it is one of the quads that was not completed.  I was so glad the Scripture Stamp fit in the space; I couldn't plan it any better!
The die featured is from Pink Fresh (Stitch Scallop Rectangle)
Paper: Taylored Expressions - Bleu Cheese, Sugar Cube
Ink: Mint Julep, Spearmint, Dried Fig, Salt Water Taffy & Oreo (Taylored Expressions)
Stencil: Create-in-Quad Layering Stencil - Mistletoe (Taylored Expressions)

Word Art Wednesday Bi-Weekly Challenge

Hello Delightful Friends!

Congrats to Heather and Bunny who were my Christmas blog hop winners!  Hopefully they have their prize packages by now and are having some crafty fun!

Our Challenge theme is Anything Goes - Family Friendly.  Our sponsors are Scrap 'n Stamp ($50 Canada) and Newton's Nook Design ($20 USA) check out the cute new coffee themed stamps and dies

I've used the 6x6 paper pad from Newton's Nook called Christmas Basics.  It's not just Merry & Bright but I think it is also Bright and Cheery, I've used the lighter green double-sided paper for my card. I went out of my comfort zone and really went with a bright palette. But I'm happy how it turned out. I'm mailing it tomorrow to my friend who is recovering from surgery.

Here are the ingredients to my card:

Paper: Newton's Nook Designs 6x6 paper pad Christmas Basics (fun colors and designs)
Card Stock: Blue Raspberry, Bubblegum, Poblano Pepper, Sugar Cube (Taylored Expressions)
Ink: Sour Gummy (TE)
Dies: Planned Out #1 (TE
Stamp/Die set: So Many Reasons (TE)

This week's Scripture Art will be on the inside of the card:

Thank you for stopping by I hope you'll leave a quick comment.

Happy New Year - WAW Challenge

Happy New Year to my Delightful Friends!
I'm praying that this year will be filled with a deeper desire to seek the Lord Jesus, knowing that He is coming back soon!  I'm so grateful that no matter what this year brings, I can trust Him and I just need to keep my eyes on Jesus.  That's my prayer for the followers and visitors to this blog as well.

So, here we are starting off the year with our Word Art Wednesday challenge (Anything Goes - Family Friendly), and our sponsor is WAFFLE FLOWER, be sure and visit the blog and get inspired. Please play along and upload your new creations to share, the challenge runs two weeks so you can upload 5 new creations each week for a chance to win the prize.

I made a couple of thank you cards, and I'd like to thank you for visiting and participating in the WAW Christmas Blog Hop.  As you know, I have 2 prizes to give away! (see last post) The winners will be announced soon!

Here are my cards for this week's challenge:
(I didn't use the Scripture Art this week, but it could be used for the inside of any of these cards.

Scripture Art for this week:

This is a wonderful Scripture from Psalm 16:11 that the apostle Peter is quoting.  My husband is a pastor, and he uses it frequently during memorial services for believers.
In the New King James Version it reads like this:
"You will show me the path of life; in Your presence is fullness of joy;"
I think I like that version better than the KJV.

Each card I have used the same background stamp but used in 3 different ways.
The glittery gold was embossed with gold embossing powder, then cut out using a die, the sentiment is foiled using the Minc Laminator (The items I've used will be at the end of this post).
The blue thank you card, the background stamp was embossed with clear embossing powder, then I blended 4 different colors of ink (blues), then wiped with a clean paper towel so the embossing would be a bit brighter.
The third card, "Cheers" I've used ink (light yellow) and then stamped the word CHEERS, in a darker yellow, I then stamped with black in on a white strip of card stock and cut out a "fishtail" on one end.

Ingredients:

Card #1 (Gold thanks):
Stamp: Twinkle Lights background 6x6
Ranger Gold Embossing Powder
Versamark ink
Card Stock: Sugar Cube, Black licorice (Taylored Expressions), Gold Glitter card stock (TE)
Foil: Fun Foil, holographic gold glitter (TE)
Foil it - Preprinted patterns on Sugar Cube cardstock: All Together a Note of Thanks (TE)
Dies: All Planned Out 2 (frame and rectangles); All Together a Note of Thanks

Card #2 (Blue Thanks):
Stamp: Twinkle Lights background 6x6
Ranger Clear Embossing powder
Versamark Ink
Card Stock: Sugar Cube, Black Licorice, Poblano Pepper (TE)
Foil it - preprinted patterns on c/s: All Together a Note of Thanks (no added foiling) coordinating Die
Tiny Pearls (black) from stash
Inks: (dark to light) Blueberry, Snow Cone, Cotton Candy, Cookie Monster (TE)

Card #3 (Cheers)
Stamp: Big Cheers (cling and clear combo) TE
Inks: Potato Chip, Mango (TE); Permanant Black (Altenew Crisp Ink)
Card Stock: Sugar Cube, Banana Cream Pie (TE)

Thanks so much for visiting and I hope you'll leave a comment!  Have a great couple of weeks and I hope to share again very soon!

Word Art Wednesday Challenge featuring Newton's Nook Designs

Hello Delightful Friends!
Winter storms are ready roll in this week!  I'm not looking forward to driving in the windy, rainy weather.
It's about a 25 minute drive to work so I'm definitely planning on leaving a bit early just to take my time and account for the nasty weather.
I would love to spend the day in my craftroom, instead of going to work, right?!

Well, it is time for our challenge at Word Art Wednesday and our sponsor is Newton's Nook Designs and I happen to have purchased some new stamps, dies and paper just for this challenge.  I couldn't resist these cute Christmas Coffee mugs!

Here's my card:

I've used the Newton Nook Designs Stamp set and coordinating dies called Christmas Coffee and the paper is called Christmas Basics 6x6 paper pad.

Additional ingredients include OLO markers and the die set from Taylored Expressions called All Planned Out 2. I've also used a circle stitched die from Simon Says Stamp.

Thanks so much for visiting!  Have a blessed couple of weeks and don't forget to play along with us for a chance to win the $20 gift certificate from Newton's Nook Designs! (details are at the Word Art Wednesday Challenge blog)

The Scripture Art is from 1 Samuel 12:24 it's an admonishment to King Saul but it can sure speak to us, today! A good one to memorize and put into practice.

Hello Delightful Friends!

Happy Passion Week to you all!  We are getting ready to celebrate the greatest holiday of all: Resurrection Sunday!  If it wasn't for Jesus Christ dying on the cross and being resurrected from the dead, we'd be separated from God the Father and under the curse of sin.  But praise the Lord, His atonement on the cross has reconciled us to God and given us life eternal, when we receive Jesus as our Lord and Savior we are a new creation! What a wonderful gift, new life!

We are blessed with a new sponsor this week at Word Art Wednesday - Trinity Stamps!!

Word Art Wednesday Challenge - Happy Valentines Day!

Hello Delightful Friends and Happy Valentines Day!
So glad you made it here to see this weeks challenge card for Word Art Wednesday.  We have a delightful sponsor The Stamps of Life ($25 gift card), check out the store, the blog and the videos, lots of inspiration!
The challenge is Anything Goes - Family Friendly and the Scripture Art is from 1 Peter 4:8.  I'm kind of a clean and simple stamping kind of crafter and this card was pretty simple and I've given the directions below. Hope you'll check out the challenge blog and join us for an opportunity to win the $25 gift card to Stamps of Life! You can upload 5 new projects a week and the challenge is up for two weeks at a time.  You don't have to use the Scripture Art but if you like it, you can grab it at Word Art Wednesday.

Step 1:  Choose a colored card stock to use and cut it to 5.25 by 4" make sure you have a coordinating color ink and a brush or dauber. (I've used Rose Water by Taylored Expressions)
Step 2: Choose an embossing folder (Sketched Hearts 3-D by TE) emboss the colored paper, I used a Big Shot.
Step 3: With a dauber or brush, use the matching ink to blend over the embossed images (in this case it's the hearts)
Step 4: Adhere the embossed paper to a card base (A2)  I've used the Rose Water card stock to keep with the monochromatic color theme.
Step 5:  Stamp a sentiment on Vellum (I've used our Scripture Art image that was copied onto Vellum), then die cut using a Heart Shaped Die, I've used the Stitched Heart die set.
Carefully adhere to top of the card.
Step 6: Add embellishments in odd numbers, I've used clear Bits & Pieces (TE)

The nice thing about this design is that you can change out the color or theme and have a pretty simple card, I love the embossed images which add some delightful but simple dimension and texture without a lot of work.  Hope you like it and will try it out.

Thanks for visiting!!

Natalie 💗
