Word Art Wednesday Challenge - Anything Goes - Happy New Year!

Hello and Happy New Year Delightful Friends!

We are starting off the new year in a big way!  There are some winners to be announced from the blog hop plus the sponsor prizes, Karen will be letting us know when the winners have been chosen.

This challenge has an awesome sponsor to begin the new year: Lawn Fawn!!  So much fun and inspiration at the Lawn Fawn blog and the super cute release for Valentines Day.  Definitely head there after you've uploaded your creation to Word Art Wednesday

After the holidays it's nice to make a few thank you cards, with a winter theme and especially if you have not put away your Christmas dies. Other than the white card stock, every product I used is from our sponsor, Lawn Fawn.

Here are the Lawn Fawn products I've used:

Scripty Thanks Die
Stitched Rectangle Dies
Stitched Snowflakes Dies
Let it Shine Snowflakes 6x6 paper pad (the snowflakes are foil and are so pretty on the paper, unfortunately it's been retired 😞)

Be sure and go over to the Word Art Wednesday Blog and see all the winners, they should be posted (if not be sure to check back).  Also be sure and upload your creations to join in the challenge of Anything Goes - Family Friendly.
This is a free Scripture Digi to use if you'd like:

Hope to see you back on the next challenge in 2 weeks!

Thanks for visiting and commenting!

Stamp Simply Ribbon Store - Word Art Wednesday

Happy New Year!

Wow, starting a new decade!  I pray that you will prosper as your soul prospers in 2020.

It's a new year and a new challenge at Word Art Wednesday with a wonderful sponsor for our prize!  Stamp Simply Ribbon Store is our sponsor and some of their design team have shared some crafty inspiration at the Word Art Wednesday blog. Thank you Sharon Johnson!  Don't forget our challenge runs 2 weeks and you can share your crafty inspiration with us for two weeks!
Here is my card for this weeks Anything Goes - Family Friendly challenge:

I've used the Farmhouse Signage stamp set and the Cup of Java (Coffee) die. Love the fun stamps which I've used to make the background.  It's a little busy in the photo but not so much in person.  The designer paper is from Echo Park 6x6 pad called Down on the Farm - I die cut the border using an Avery Elle die called Reversed Pink Die.  Ink used is from Archival black and vermillion.
The Scripture Art is from Psalm 16:8.
Be sure and check out the Word Art Wednesday Blog for  a whole lot of inspiration!

Again Happy New Year and God bless!

The Lord will Guide you - Word Art Wednesday 344 & 345

Greetings!
Hope this finds everyone of you well and blessed, enjoying the summer.  We have another Anything Goes Family Friendly challenge for you at Word Art Wednesday! Hope you will be encouraged to share your art work with us.  It's wonderful to see so many upload their creations.  Mostly it's cards but occasionally we will see some journal pages, scrapbook pages and I'm hoping we will see more Bible journaling pages! I need to get busy and work in my Faith journal, too and so I love to see ideas! Korin at Sweet 'n Sassy stamps has some wonderful pages that she has done and she will be one of our sponsors in November (Yay!!)
This week our Scripture art is from Isaiah 58:11 and here is my card for the challenge. I used a few dies and a punch to help design this card. (there is a list at the end of the post of the ingredients)

Today's Scripture influenced my choice of colors and paper, I wanted to make sure it represented a spring of water and a garden that was flourishing.
I hope you will take the time to read all of Isaiah 58 because there are some conditions noted by the word "if" and "then" that the Lord has spoken through Isaiah.  It was a rebuke of their shallow worship in the first few verses because the Lord wanting to guide them, needed for them to stop with their empty religious ritual and worship Him with a devotional true heart and walk according to His will. And then, to the truly repentant worshiper comes the promise of blessings.  This chapter is an eye-opener, I hope you will take the time to read it and really "chew" on it!  And if there are changes that need to take place in your life then make the changes and expect the blessings! God is faithful!

Ingredients to card:
Paper: green, light blue and dark brown card stock; Pattern Papers: BoBunny Escape to Paradise 6x6 paper pad
Dies: Lawn Fawn Stitched Hillside border; Cottage Cutz Leaves and Stems; Taylored Expressions Branches, Banner & Bloom die set; Punch: Marvy Uchida small flower; Nuvo Jewel Drops, strawberry.

Thanks so much for visiting and please remember to check out the Word Art Wednesday Blog for the 2 week challenge which begins today.  2 prizes are going to be given out and our sponsors are The Project Bin and Iralamija (digital).  You can link up 5 new projects each week!

Must Say Thanks - CC&CC 91

Hello Delightful friends and family!
Wow! I'm on a roll this week!  It's nice to get back into a groove with the card making and posting.
Here is a fun card I made using a water color technique of layering the colors then adding gold and black to give a faux glazed glass look.  I shared this technique in my last class at Scrapper's Edge and it was a big hit! The ladies really liked learning this technique and I loved all the different looks everyone came up with.

Here is a list of supplies:  Dies - Taylored Expressions Vase, Spellbinders DeLites Lavender, Sizzix Labels Fancy #6.The sentiment is from Avery Elle, the water colors are a very inexpensive set I got at the lss and I've added Stella Luna (gold ) pen/brush.  The base of the card is Flamingo (Bazzill) and  black card stock.  I've stamped with Archival Jet Black Ink.  LOVE how the vase turned out, it was diecut from the watercolored paper!

Thanks for visiting and enjoy your Friday!!

Camouflaging Dies - Word Art Wednesday

Hello!!
Hope this day is going well for you, I'm preparing to head out for a little league game but wanted to get this card posted real quick like!
It's a stenciled background (Tim Holtz Flourishes) and I've used 3 different Distress Inks on the card.  (Chipped Sapphire, Salty Ocean and Tumbled Glass) and then I masked off the lines with painters tape and used the Chipped Sapphire and Tumbled Glass to make the strips of color.  The die is from Lawn Fawn (Thanks) and the technique is from Here called Camouflaging Dies.  (sorry the pics so bad I took this at night and I usually do the photos outside in better lighting.)

Here is a better look at the dimension of the Thanks sentiment die. I diecut the thanks directly from the inked up paper and set it aside with all the little pieces and then I diecut 3 more in white card stock to stack them up and adhered them together to make it pop, then I added the last "thanks" that matched up with the design of the card.

I will be sharing this at Word Art Wednesday #181 (Anything Goes - Family Friendly)

Thanks for visiting, I'm off to the ballgame!

Just a Note - a watercolor technique

Hello Delightful friends and family!
It's a gorgeous day here on the north coast of California!  Spring is definitely around the corner, our trees are budding and my wisteria is looking so pretty!  I must admit our winter has been extremely mild and I feel so bad for our east coast friends and family.  I hope and pray you are beginning to see some signs of spring!

I have a card to share that was inspired by Sandy Allnock's card and watercolor technique she calls Faux Glazed Glass.  I didn't use the same supplies and had to improvise and use what I had on hand, but I was happy with the results so thank you Sandy for the inspiration!!  This background is  watercolor that is layered with reds, orange and pinks (dried in between layers of color), with very little black and then some gold Perfect Pearls to add gold veins of color throughout.  I cut it down to make the square background and used some of the leftover paper to die cut the butterfly.  Beneath the pretty butterfly is a black butterfly mimicking the shadow.

The stamped and gold embossed sentiment is from Paper Smooches and the butterfly is a Spellbinder Shapeabilities die, the watercolor paper is from Ranger.  I will be sharing this card at Word Art Wednesday #175 Anything Goes.

Thanks for looking and have a blessed day!
