Word Art Wednesday December Blog Hop!

Hello Delightful Friends!!

Merry Christmas and blessings to you all.
It's time for the annual Word Art Wednesday Blog Hop!!  So excited to share all the fun inspiration and hope you'll join us and comment to enter in the chance to win a prize at each stop.
Our Primary Sponsor is Stamp Simply Clear Stamps.  They are offering a $25 gift certificate to their amazing store.

Our Secondary Sponsor is Tonic Studios.
They provided many of the prizes being offered from our blogs.

Below is the prize that Tonic is giving at this stop along the way!   Be sure to scroll down and see all the participants and don't forget to comment to be eligible to enter the drawing!

Tonic Studios Stamp/Die Set, Sticker, Ink Pad

I had fun making this coordinated card and tag set. There are 3 tree dies in this set and I've used two.  I made a bunch of these tags using different pattern papers and they turned out so cute and were fast and easy.  Unfortunately those other tags have already been attached to presents and sent to Oregon to my nieces and nephews without any photos taken!  I didn't take a picture of the back side of this tag but I did cut a tag from the pattern paper for the back using the Ranger Tag dies.  The inks used were Cilantro and Poppy Seed (Taylored Expressions).  The Stitched Hillside Die is from Lawn Fawn. The pattern paper is Penny Black's 6x6 paper pad called Wintertime.

We have many fabulous prizes from our generous sponsors.  To be eligible to win the Stamp Simply prize, just enter your art in our gallery as usual.  The winner of this prize will be selected  by random draw from our entries.
To be eligible to win the prizes from Tonic Studios and other goodies, simply leave a comment on each blog to be eligible for that prize.  When you've completed the blog hop, leave a comment at Word Art Wednesday saying that you've completed the hop.

Thanks so much for visiting and commenting.  I pray your Christmas holiday will be blessed with joy and peace. See you in the New Year!

Great Things He has Done - Word Art Wednesday

Hello Delightful Friends!
We are 1 week out from celebrating the birth of our Lord Jesus.  Can you believe how fast the last month has gone? The last week has been super busy for me.  I was asked to speak at the Women's Christian Brunch here locally (Vital Network aka Stonecroft Ministries) that happened last Wednesday and then I hosted our ladies and daughters from church for a Christmas lunch and gift exchange on Saturday.  We had a delightful time! I think there were 26 in attendance and we had a Mexican themed lunch with enchiladas, chicken taco casserole and two soups and yummy cupcakes for dessert. So now that those two events are over I think I can finish cleaning and decorating my home, but not before sharing this card for our Word Art Wednesday - Anything Goes/Family Friendly challenge.

Head over to the challenge blog and check out the prize it will be available to someone for sharing their crafty project with us.The challenge runs for two weeks and you can enter 5 new projects each week!
Here is my card:

The Scripture Art is from 1 Samuel 12 verse 24
"Only fear the Lord, and serve Him in truth with all your heart: For consider how great things He hath done for you."

This time of year it's important for me to keep things simple so this card certainly fits that description.  It starts with a white card base (A2 size).  I've added a green card stock layer and then the pattern paper (cut 4x 5.25) which I've diecut a circle with a Spellbinder circle die.  I then added the Scripture and adhered it to the back of the top layer.  Then I added the green bow to the center bottom of the circle.  It is simple and should be less bulky to mail too!  Isn't that paper pretty? It's Winter Wonderland by Heidi Swapp.  It's 12x12 and double-sided.

Well that it's for me!  I probably won't be back until January 1, 2020 for our next challenge so have a blessed Christmas and enjoy your families!

Rejoice and Be Glad! Word Art Wednesday #214

Hello Delightful friends and family!
Just a quick post because I'm a bit under the weather.  Hope whatever this is will be quick (chills and achy feeling.) Since I'm writing this Tuesday night, I hope to get to bed soon and feel better in the morning. Who has time to get sick!!

Here is Word Art Wednesday's card #214. It's a family friendly challenge with prizes, hope you'll link up at WAW and leave a comment! Please grab the free digital Scripture, too. There is a new one every week there is a challenge and some fabulous sponsors, too!

The top layer is a background stamp from Hero Arts.  I've used white embossing powder and then heat set it and added Distress Inks in blues. The Lawn Fawn stamp called Season's Tweetings was used to make the tree branch (embossed with Archival Tea Branch).  The little birdie was colored with Copics and I stamped the musical notes with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  This little birdy is singing it's heart out for the Lord!

Thanks so much for visiting and lift me up in prayer!

Joy to the World! Word Art Wednesday #213

Hello Delightful Friends and Family,
So glad Wednesday is here!  My Tuesday was a crazy day and I'm glad it's behind me. I do love looking back however and see how the Lord worked out all the details. I know that I don't have to  sweat the big or little stuff! So grateful that He is in control!

Here is my card for Word Art Wednesday #213 this week, I know it's a busy time of the year but I hope you'll consider playing along:

I've used Distress Inks for the background behind the silhouette of Bethlehem (die from Taylored Expressions). The sentiment and star (Paper Smooches) have been embossed with white embossing powder and the stars were created using a Uni-ball Signo white pen.  I used purple glitter card stock for a layer to frame out the focal layer.  A strip of a silver border sticker separate the Scripture and the scene.
Hope you are keeping CHRIST in your CHRISTmas so that you may experience the joy and gladness that comes in knowing Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior!  Rejoice and have a blessed week.

Thanks for visiting!! Have a great week.

Festive Friday #41 Christmas Door

Hey there Delightful Friends and Family!
Ok, last card I posted was quick and easy and this one not so much!! (ha!) However, once it was designed and figured out it wasn't quite as difficult (I made a second one with a fall theme that was super fun and I'll share it in another post later on).  I saw this inspiration picture at Festive Friday and knew this would be perfect for the challenge! I was inspired by the wreath and door.

The wreath is a Sizzix Movers and Shakers Die which I cut multiple times with light, med, dark green card stock and then added Dimensional Pearls in Red Pepper.  My base is Desert Storm Neenah card stock.  I've added the medium green card stock layer after running it through the Cuttlebug in a Sizzix Brick embossing folder and then with a Ranger blending tool I used Vintage Photo Distress Ink to add a bit of ink to the green.

Inside of card:  Our Daily Bread Stamp - Christmas Door

Thanks for letting me share and this is one of the cards that will be featured in my class at Scrapper's Edge in November!

But the salvation of the righteous is from the LORD; He is their strength in the time of trouble. And the LORD shall help them; He shall deliver them from the wicked, and save them, because they trust in Him.  Psalm 37:39-40

Joy Fold Cards - Snowflakes

Hello Delightful friends and family,
I'm finally able to post the cards I made for our Ladies Ministry Christmas Party!  My card theme was snowflakes as you can see by the pictures.  I shared with the ladies how we are unique as a snowflake being fearfully and wonderfully made by God.  Just as God has a treasury of snow, we are His treasure, too - created for His glory!

I had a couple of cards left over to share. The Joy Fold Technique I used is found at Splitcoast Stampers on their resource page.  I've made each card a little different, using 4 different embossing folders and two different paper patterns (double sided) from this years Christmas Bo Bunny Powder Mountain collection.  The card stock is Bazzill and Neenah bright white.  The stamp set is Christmas Blessing from Our Daily Bread Designs.  I love all the Christmas sentiments that ODBD have in their online store here. I've used three different dies: Spellbinders Nestabilites scallop oval, deckled rectangle and the Sizzix Sizzlits mini snowflake rosettes. In place of ribbon, I chose to use Tulle in white and pale blue.  I've attached each snowflake rosette on the tulle bow with a repositionable Zots Dots (adhesive) so that they could be removed, the tulle slips through the hole at the edge of the snowflake and could be used as an ornament!

#1

#2

Inside top fold
ODBD stamp on the inside panel and the ink is Nautical Blue (Memento)

The center of the snowflake I've added silver Stickles (Ranger).  I ended up making 24 cards!  Whew!! It was fun to do and I'm glad the ladies enjoyed them.

 Thanks so much for visiting!!

CAS - Blessed Christmas (CCDC1)

Hello Delightful friends and family,
Hope this finds you well!  It's been a while since I've been able to post (computer woes continue!) but I did want to share this CAS card for a challenge at Cindy Coutts blog.

THE CHALLENGE: Make a clean and simple nontraditional Christmas colors card using a die-cut or embossing folder (optional) that can be easily mass produced.

 CCDC1

This card could definitely be mass produced  and the color of the designer paper has more of an orange/rust color to it so I hope it qualifies as non traditional.  The only thing that would be considered time consuming would be the ink blending around the edges of the poinsettia and the focal point labels.  And the  next one I will use my Stamp-a-ma-jig to center the sentiment better. Of course a well placed bling or two or three to the side will fix this on mine! Wouldn't this CAS be a great way to use up some of those Christmas paper scraps you have?  I saw a card in the CARD magazine (Dec 2012 pg 73) that was very similar to the challenge so I need to give Amber Kroening a shout out for her inspiration, too.

Ingredients:  Designer Paper: Memory Box, Tinsel collection; Neenah bright white card stock;  Stamp: Our Daily Bread Designs, Blessed Christmas set; Dies:  Sizzix Alterations (Movers and Shakers) Mini Cardinal and Poinsettia set and Spellbinders Nestabilities Labels; Ink: Archival Russet and Distress Ink, Vintage Photo; EK Success corner punch and Cuttlebug (Provocraft).

Thanks for visiting!!

Not unto us, O LORD, not unto us, but to Your name give glory, because of Your mercy, because of Your truth.  Psalm 115:1

Go Metallic! - ODBDSLC84

Hello Delightful friends and family,
Just a quick post:
I'm participating in the challenge to Go Metallic!! at Our Daily Bread Design.  And those two words inspired this card.   I kept it pretty simple in design, I hope you like it.

The stamp set I've used is called Christmas Verses (ODBD) which I've stamped with Versamark and embossed with Ranger Gold Embossing Powder.  The beautiful gold and cream designer paper is from K&Company (a couple of seasons old, I'm not sure the name of the collection - it came in a 12x12 pad) the holly leaves and berries are a gold foil embossed into the paper. The card stock is from Bazzill and the ribbon is American Crafts.  I've used the Spellbinders Nestabilities Labels 22.  I've embellished with Tiny Twinkles, gold (Taylored Expressions).  The EK Success border punch is called Scallop Diamond, the Corner Punch is also from EK Success.  I've used the Cuttlebug to cut and dry emboss.

Thanks for looking and commenting, may you have a blessed day!
