Happy Birthday Princess Addy - 30 Day Color Challenge

Hello Delightful friends and family!
Hope all is well on this beautiful Thursday!  Today is my granddaughter Princess Addy's 6th birthday!  It is also the last day of school so that means she will be entering 1st grade in the fall.  Wow, where has the time flown.
I'll be sharing her birthday card that I finished last night - Addy is my little artist, she loves getting to choose from some of the digis I've printed out and color them right along side me with her color pencils.  She asked me yesterday if I would be coloring a "cute" girl for her birthday card!  She knows me well...

I've colored "Marci" (LaLa Land Crafts) with my Copic Markers.  She was stamped on Neenah bright white c/s and the fence was punched with the Martha Stewart fence border punch on the Neenah.  The grass is a stamp from Lawn Fawn and I've added tiny flowers from an AveryElle stamp.  Happy Birthday sentiment is a Penny Black stamp (wow, I'm really an equal opportunity stamper, lol).  I've added Wink of Stella Clear on her hair bows but it doesn't show in the photo. Inks I've used are Memento Tuxedo black, Ranger Dye Ink (/Wild Orchid and Grape Soda); Archival Ink: Magenta; Distress Marker (Picked Raspberry) faux stitching.  I just love the pattern paper from Echo Park (Bundle of Joy) and the green c/s is Bazzill. My tiny butterfly is a punch from EK Success and I had some leftover scraps from a watercolor project that I used, I added Liquid Pearls for dimension.

Here is Addy playing first base at last weekends end of the season softball tournament for the 8 and under age group. She did great and even fielded a grounder and made the put out at first.

Here we are with big brother Jake after church.

I will be sharing this card at Seize the Birthday (Topping - Animals) I hope a butterfly will qualify as an "animal" :-) and at the 30 Day Color Challenge Blog.
Thanks for visiting!

Hello Delightful friends and family,
I have two birthday cards to share today and I will be entering this first one at Seize the Birthday Card Challenge.  The challenge is to focus on the sentiment.
My second card is my grandson Jakob's card.  He is 8 years old! Oh my how time has flown by!

Seize the Birthday card:

My second card was inspired to share with the 30 Day Coloring Challenge at The Daily Marker Blog!  I'm a little slow getting out and sharing today is day 11 of 30!

I will be sharing both cards at Word Art Wednesday #174 Anything Goes.

Thanks for visiting and God bless!

Happy Birthday Riley Ann!

Hello Delightful friends and family!
This weekend was a busy one with a Christmas program at church on Sunday (no pictures because I was too busy playing the piano!) and our granddaughter Princess Riley Ann's skating birthday party on Saturday.

Our little skater turned 7 and is quite comfortable on her roller skates!

Blowing out the candles with Princess Addy watching and cheering her on!

Here is the card I made her.  I've used a LaLa Land Crafts stamp and the Basic Grey Vivienne Collection designer paper.  I've colored this cutie with Copic markers.
Thanks for looking!!

I will be entering this at the Seize the Birthday Challenge blog (I have to edit this later to add the link).  The challenge is a birthday card (always) with Silver or Gold as a "Topping" but it is optional - my gold is the yellow/gold in the card.  I know, I know, I'm stretching it! (lol)

Thanks for looking and have a blessed week!
Keep Christ in your Christmas!

On the Road again... Make a Wish Princess Addy!

Hello Delightful friends and family!
Well so far the week has been just a bit on the crazy side. My mom had hip replacement surgery and it was done out of the area, so that makes it a little more complicated for me.  She went through the surgery fine but experienced an irregular heart beat and now has to go to extra appointments to have her heart checked out. (My uncle, her brother had a heart attack on Sunday so the craziness really started then!)  So, the bottom line is that I will drive up to where she's at and take her to her appointments to help out.

Please keep me in prayer because there are a lot more things going on this week and weekend that are church related that I'm responsible for that I'm trying to take care of before I leave on Wednesday morning.  I am really leaning on the Scripture in Philippians chpt 4:4-7.  Trusting the Lord to help me and leaving my dear hubby with a list!

Hope you enjoy this card I made for our Princess Addy.  Princess Marci is the stamp from LaLa Land Crafts.  I've colored her with Copic markers and embellished with Wink of Stella clear pen and Copic Atyou Spica Glitter pen (gold).  Inks: Memento, Tuxedo Black and Teal Zeal.
The balloons and chevron are dies from Taylored Expressions. I've used designer paper rather than stamping the balloons.  Even their strings are a die, then I made a bow out of embroidery floss and attached to Princess Marci's hand.
The sentiment is from a WOW clear stamp set which I've diecut using a MFT die-namics.  The envelope I stamped with the matching balloon stamps from Taylored Expressions. All of the Designer Paper is from Fancy Pants Designs - Park Bench collection.

This card is entered at

Thanks so much for visiting!  Have a great week!

Happy Birthday Jake!

Hello Delightful Friends and Family!
Today is our oldest grandchild's birthday!  Jakob turns seven today and here is the card I made for him.  He started taking Jiu Jitsu lessons in the fall and has been doing great.  A couple of weeks ago he earned his yellow belt so when I saw this LaLa Land Craft stamp I had to get it for his birthday card.  The name of the stamp is Karate Luka but we won't tell Jake!
I've colored Luka with Copic markers and the paper I've used is from the Taylored Expressions Key Ingredient Kit for February (WeR Memory Keepers 6x6 pad Hip Hip Hooray and the HB sentiment is from the stamp of the month Birthday Bash) I've used the following inks: Memento (tuxedo black, nautical blue) Distress Inks (antique linen, peacock feathers, mustard seed); Spellbinders Nestabilities Classic Circle Die.
More pictures to come after his party...

Happy Birthday Princess Tucker Lynn!

Hello Delightful friends and family!
We are celebrating our youngest granddaughter's birthday Monday.  Can't believe she is already turning 3 years old!  I just had to make this "art-themed" birthday card for her.  She loves to draw - on EVERYTHING!!  You should see her eyes light up when she has a marker in hand!  Anyway, when we got this stamp in the store, I just knew it would be perfect considering the gift we are giving her: a pint-size art center!

Here is Princess Tucker Lynn, I took this picture last week and it's sooo her!
That look on her face is the one she get when she has a marker in her hand (ha!)

Here are the ingredients to the card:
Stamps: La-La Crafts: Artist Marci; Taylored Expressions: Bikes and Trikes (sentiment)
Designer Paper: Carta Bella, Giddy Up Collection
Card Stock: Bazzill and Neenah
Dies: Spellbinders, Nestabilities;
Punches: Ek Success: Round Binding Edge, Scallop Diamond
Ink: Memento, Tuxedo Black
Copic Markers
Ribbon, Taylored Expressions Key Ingredients

I'm entering this card in Seize The Birthday (STB: Anything Goes)
and this is my second card for Sister Act Card Challenge #31

Thanks for visiting!!
Have a great week and I'll be back on Wednesday with a fun project and a delightful announcement.

Make a joyful shout to the LORD, all you lands!  Serve the LORD with gladness; Come before His presence with singing.  Know that the LORD, He is God;  It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves, We are His people and the sheep of His pasture.  Psalm 100:1-3

Happy Birthday!

Hello Delightful friends and family!
Hope you are having a great Saturday!  I'm heading to town soon but wanted to get this birthday card posted right away so I can get it in the mail.  My dear friends birthday is coming up this week so I may get this card to her on time!  Surprise, surprise!!

I've used three different stamp sets for this card.  The first stamp is the most obvious, it's Wheelbarrow Marci from La-La Land Crafts.  Isn't she the cutest! She reminds my of my granddaughter Addy who loves to help me with yard work.  I've colored Marci with Copic Markers, paper pieced her boots and then added Glossy Accents(Ranger) to them for "waterproofing" (tee-hee).  I've also used Liquid Pearls(Ranger) to add dimension to the flowers and her overall buttons.
The second stamp set is the sentiment from Penny Black (Friendship - "T For Transparent") this set has some wonderful sentiments! I've stamped it with Memento Tuxedo Black and used the MFT Die-Namics Fishtail STAX die to frame it out on Neenah card stock.
The last stamp set is the Prima Marketing Mixed Media Stamp by Julie Nutting to creat the flower background and I've used Worn Lipstick Distress Ink and a Worn Lipstick Distress Pen (both from Ranger) which I used to accent some of the flowers directly on the stamp before placing it on the paper, then I used Bazzill card stock to mat the layer. I used Liquid Pearls in the center of the flowers of the background paper, it's real subtle and if I was to do it again, I'd probably not add anything.
The pink plaid designer paper I used is from Cosmo Cricket (Tea for Two Mini Bloc).

Here is a peek at the inside of the card.  I've used one of the sentiments from the Penny Black Friendship set and the border punch is from Martha Stewart.

I'll be entering this card in the Sister Act Card Challenge #24

Thanks so much for visiting!

Run Run As Fast as You Can...

...You can't catch me, I'm the Gingerbread Man! Well... in this case, it's the Gingerbread boy and girl wishing everyone a Merry Christmas in this card.

Hello Everyone!!

This was a fun card! I actually combined a couple of challenges here and both are a first for me. The design is a sketch from Card Patterns (#43) and the other challenge is from La La Land Crafts their "La La Weekly Wednesday Challenge #15 which was to incorporate buttons into your card or creation. That's not very difficult for me 'cause I love using buttons, so the easier the challenge the better!! La La Land Crafts is also the sponsor this week at Stampin' Sisters in Christ, so be sure and head over there to see what the DTs have done!! Incredible as usual, what a creative team they have over there! I'm hoping to play along with that challenge next!

I love the pattern paper from American Crafts, the Gingerbread couple stamp is also from American Crafts. Each piece is from the Merrymint line. I doubled the brown buttons (BoBunny) and added the red grosgrain ribbon (Offray) the brown dotted wired ribbon is from Michaels.

I want to focus in on this close-up because I originally used white cardstock(Paper Accents) but it was so bright it was distracting so I used 2 different Distress Inks from Ranger and blended the ink around the edges (Antique Linen and Worn Lipstick) the sentiment is a stamp from a 12 piece set from the Heidi Grace Designs from Fiskars. I cut this out using my Cricut, George cartridge (cylinder shape). The brown cardstock(Bazzill) I put through my Cuttlebug using the Dotted Swiss folder and the white dots around the red cardstock (Bazzill) is Smooch pearlized ink, I also used it to do a little highlighting on the gingerbread kids. I also used the EK Success corner rounder. The finished card is 6"x 5.5"

Thanks for looking!!
