Hello - Online card class

Hello again Delightful Friends and Family!
Here is another card from the Online Card Class, I'm loving these techniques!  I've had to practice a bit with this one but as soon as I get done posting this I think I'm going to make another background.  It's really fun and I love experimenting with the water to pigment ration.  This isn't my first attempt at this technique it's probably my fourth!  So it did take a bit of practice before I made it into a card.

I was taking pictures of 2 cards here and tried to crop the other one out of the picture, I don't have the card in my possession any more so I can't do a retake.
I really liked how Dawn (WPlus9) and our instructor tore vellum and layered the sentiment and twine with it so I totally CASED her sample.  Although she stamped her sentiment and used different colors for her card...
I've used the Reeves phthalo blue and sap green (same as last post) just because I love these colors plus there was plenty left in my palette to use!  The Hello is a die from Avery Elle, the hemp cording is a product from Darice and the white vellum is from Paper Accents.  I've used the Ranger Water color paper and a 3/8 flat brush (Ranger).

Hope you like!  Thanks for visiting.

Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 15:13

Simple Round Brush Flowers - Online Card class

Hey there Delightful Friends and Family,

Happy Friday to you all!  Here is another card from the Online Card Class - Watercolor Techniques - Intermediate.
This is called Simple Round Brush Flowers technique.

I've used a #3 and #2 Round watercolor brush, Ranger Water color paper, the Thanks Die is from Taylored Expressions.  I've mixed a Reeves watercolor phthalo blue and sap green to make the flower petal color and the sap green for the stems.  This card is a 4x4 card and I've mat it on a charcoal gray and used a blue card stock for the base.  I'm pretty sure I'll make some more of these, they are a great size for a card set of thanks!

Speaking of thanks, thanks for visiting!!

Therefore let us pursue the things that make for peace and the things by which one may edify one another.  Romans 14:19

Totally Cool - Online Card Class Watercolor Intermediate Techniques

Hello Delightful friends and family,
Can you believe it? Another post from me this week!  Had to share what I've learned at the Online Card Class Watercolor (Intermediate) that Dawn the owner of WPlus9 taught this week.  I joined a little late but the information is still fabulous even if I am behind!  Thanks to all the creative ladies that shared their talents.  I've learned a lot, still a bit intimidated but I'm practicing (and facing my fear!)
Here is a technique that Laura Bassen taught in a bonus session.  It's called Pattern on Pattern Emboss Resist.  Hope you like! I used Distress Inks on this one.  I was going for a green theme on this one.  So glad I could ink up a Crazy Bird, watercolor and accessorize him! Love the Derby hat!  I embossed a Paper Smooches sentiment and the background is from Darcie's Stamps

Thanks for visiting!!

Are you feeling it? Spring is just around the corner!

Hello Delightful friends and family!!
Another beautiful morning although rain is in the forecast for Sunday, we need the rain to get those beautiful flowers though, don't we!  Here is a flower card FOR YOU , especially for those who aren't experiencing Spring weather.  Hard to believe it's Spring when you watch the weather channel!

Here is a card I made and will be sharing at Word Art Wednesday this week.  It's the Faux Ceramic Tile technique I've learned at the Online Card Classes.  Here is my sample, hope you like it!

I've used a Taylored Expressions Die (2) the flower and circle center, chipboard (not happy with regular white heavy chipboard but it worked this time and I'll explain in another post - much better results using Inchies), Avery Elle sentiment, Lawn Fawn stitched scallop die. Avery Elle pigment ink and clear embossing powder and Archival black ink.

Thanks for visiting! Have a terrific Friday!

O LORD our Lord, how excellent is Your name in all the earth!  Psalm 8:9
