Dear Children - Word Art Wednesday #232 and #233

Hello Delightful friends and family!
It's time for another fun Family Friendly Anything Goes Challenge at Word Art Wednesday!

Simon Says Stamp is our sponsor this week, YAY!!

I've used two exclusive Simon Says Stamp products, the stamp called Melody's Easter (stamp and die set) and the Gingham background stamp.  I've used the coordinating dies to cut out the flowers and Melody, (I added another flower to Melody's hair for dimension.).  I've colored everything with Peerless watercolors and was super excited to use my new Arches watercolor paper.  I've been really struggling to find a good flesh tone color/pigment to use, I'm so used to coloring with my Copic markers. This has definitely been a bit out of my comfort zone!

(sorry the pic isn't the greatest, the colors definitely look better in person, even the flesh tones, ha! Gotta work on that though, the photo looks really splotchy on the face, not so much in person, weird!)

Other Ingredients:
Wink of Stella, clear (on shoes)
Glossy Accents (on flower centers)
Doodlebug Designs - pattern paper (Under the Sea 6x6)
Neenah white card stock (base)
Purple card stock (Bazzill)
Cottage Cutz Oval Cross Stitched dies
Ranger Dye Ink - Electric Lime
Archival - Jet Black Ink

I have to comment on the beautiful Scripture Art this week, (love the fonts and the design!).  A great encouragement Scripture to send to someone to remind them that the Lord is a loving patient Father.  Paul reminds us in Ephesians 5:1 to "Be imitators of God as dear children. And walk in love, as Christ has loved us and given Himself for us an offering and sacrifice to God as a sweet smelling aroma." He has set the example of self sacrificing love and as an obedient Son.  It's our reasonable service to offer ourselves as living sacrifices - holy and acceptable to Him.  As it says in Ephesians 5:8 " For you were  once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light."  It should be our desire to please our heavenly Father - He is so faithful and although times may get difficult and trials and testing occur know that they are filtered through the loving hands of God for our good and His glory.  He desires the very best for His children and we have access to Him always!

Thanks for visiting and have a blessed week!!

Word Art Wednesday - 230 and 231 A Gentle Whisper

Hello Delightful Friends and Family
Hope all is going well and now that Spring is in full bloom I hope you are enjoying the outdoors as well as getting some time in your craftroom. I've been getting all my sample cards for my June classes finished so I've been very busy.  Just haven't had time to post them.  However, they are posted over at the Scrapper's Edge classes page.  I still have one class in May left to teach next week then 3 in June. I'm still in the planning stages for July!

Today I get to share a card for the Word Art Wednesday Family Friendly - Anything Goes Challenge #230, #231.  Remember this is a two week challenge.

Our sponsor this challenge is: Freckled Fawn and Papercraft Memories.  A huge thank you to our sponsors each month!

Here's my card:

This is the free Word art that we would love for you to use in the challenge, of course it's not required but it would be fun to see your ideas with it.

Here are the ingredients to my card:
Stamp: Penny Black Gentle Whisper (brush stroke style)
Peeless Water colors
Pretty Pink Posh sequins (sweet pea mix)
Ranger Water color paper (I stamped on the smooth side this time)
Neenah Bright white (80lb) card stock
Bazzill purple
Archival Tree Branch ink
WRMK Genius Die (came with cutting plates)

I stamped the image using the Tree Branch Ink and then watercolored the piece not knowing for sure how the Peerless would react and cover the ink but I think it turned our nicely.  The die (a set) was included with the Genius cutting plates and I inked around the edges with Distress inks (Wilted Violet and Chipped Sapphire).  FYI: This was the stamp I used last month in a class!  The ladies loved the stamp and the technique they learned in class!

The Word Art comes from Karen Murray from this months sponsor  Papercraft Memories.
A wonderful verse from Psalm 33.   It reminds us that to every generation the Word of God and the purpose of the Lord stands forever.  How long is forever?  Forever!! His redemptive plan was put into place before the foundation of the world.   He wants us to know His thoughts and heart towards us, and we are able to through His Word.  The Lord constantly reminds us through the writer in the Book of Psalms to seek Him.  Lately, I've been memorizing portions of   Psalm 63 so that I might know Him better.  I encourage you to seek Him early and to be thankful for His faithfulness. We live in a perplexing time, cling close and follow after the Lord Jesus - He is our Rock and salvation!

Thanks for visiting!  Have a blessed week.
