Hello! WAW #104 and SACC #30

Hello Delightful friends and family!
Hope you are all having a fabulous day.  I'm expecting the two youngest granddaughters any moment and then it's off to Ladies Bible Study we are doing a study called "Stronger - Finding Hope in Fragile Places" by Angela Thomas (LifeWay), it's been an excellent study, but I need to get over to the church and make coffee and more importantly turn on the heater!! So I have to make this really brief!

Here is my card for the challenge at Word Art Wednesday #104 Anything Goes (Family friendly)  and Sister Act Card Challenge #30 (Anything Goes but must be a card)

It's card #3 of a set I'm making for my sister as part of her birthday gift.

Autumn-themed card - And a Trip to the Pumpkin Patch

Hello Delightful Friends and Family!
Wow, another week has flown by and it's already late Wednesday evening so another week is half over.  I am learning to be thankful for everyday because this life is so fragile.  The verse on the card says "Give thanks to the Lord for He is good; His love endures forever" and that's what I'm doing: Giving thanks in the midst of this busyness!  When I'm thankful to Him, I find a peace and even a rest within that God is so faithful to provide. He is so good!

This first card is a Clean and Simple design that was so quick to put together.  It's one layer, one stencil (Stampers Anonymous, Layered Tree), one stamp (Taylored Expressions) and two inks (Distress Ink, Bundled Sage and Memento, Rich Cocoa).  Fast, fast, fast!  The second card is the same basic card but "dressed up" a bit.

I'm entering the 2nd card in two challenges:
Word Art Wednesday (Anything Goes #103)
Chocolate, Coffee & Card Challenge (Autumn - not Halloween #50)

 I've stenciled the leaves with 2 colors (Bundled Sage and Wild Honey) and used those same colors to sponge around the edges.

Inside of the 2nd card (you can really see the natural fibers on the inside, but the picture doesn't do this justice)

Both cards have the same base and it came from the lss, it comes in a package of pre-cut card stock (A-2 size, desert storm color with lots of natural fibers throughout) with matching envelopes.
Here are the ingredients I've used:
Stencil: Studio 490 Layered Tree (Wendy Vecchi - Stampers Anonymous)
Stamp: Taylored Expressions, Thankful set and Falling For You)
Inks: Distress Inks, Bundled Sage and Wild Honey; Memento, Rich Cocoa
Card Stock: Bazzill
Copics (to color the wing and beak of the bird)
Button: Favorite Findings (Nature)
I cut the small green flags from the matching green card stock.

Here are some little ones that I'm thankful for!

Pictures of the kiddo's at the Pumpkin Patch last Saturday:
Jake(6), Riley(5), Addy(4) getting ready for the hayride to begin.

Tucker (almost 3) found a big one!  Poppa can you carry it for me? PLEASE???

Here are some good ones!

Riley is one strong little girl!

Teamwork!

This is the one I want.

Thanks for visiting!!  Enjoy your week.

It's a Boy! WAW #102

Hello Delightful Friends and Family,
I've been a little busy here lately (to say the least!). I've been helping a friend by making some handmade baby shower favors.  THIRTY of them!  So I've been neglecting my blogger friends, sorry about that, but with the little ones during the day and church activities in the evening and trying to fit in craftiness has been truly challenging my time.
Each of these favors are a little different and I've been "glued" to my craft table!  I only have a couple more to make and then next it will be another THIRTY party favors/gifts that I need/want to make the ladies for our church's Ladies Ministry Christmas Luncheon.  Still working on the design for that one and if you follow me on Pinterest you can see all the delightful  tags I've been pinning.
Here are a few of the baby showers favors I've made for the upcoming event and I'll be entering them in the Word Art Wednesday Challenge Blog (#102!!) Anything Goes.

 The main stamps that I used are the "It's A Boy"  sentiment stamp from Autumn Leaves (all occasion word art set) and on the inside a Scripture verse from Our Daily Bread Designs (Christmas Door set) and the Tim Holtz Mixed Media Set. The inks used are: Distress inks (Shaded Lilac, Peacock Feathers and Faded Jeans) Memento Ink, Rich Cocoa.

Close up of the Glimmer Mist sprayed on this.

This is the ink I used to dye the seam binding.
Other stamps used were from Taylored Expressions and Gina K Designs.
More Ingredients:
Punches and border punches: EK Success.
Mini white paper bags; Tags (Paper Accents)
Misc ribbon (American Crafts)
Buttons: stash
Glossy Accents
Making Memories paper flower
Darice Hemp cording
Distress Pens: Faded Jeans, Peeled Paint, Seedless Preserves
Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist, Liquid Pearls and Stickles.
Bow Easy, Mini Mister, Ink Blending tool (Ranger)

Well thanks for visiting!  Hope you have an awesome weekend.  Hope to catch up on my blog visits soon.  God bless!

For You formed my inward parts;
You covered me in my mother’s womb.
I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
Marvelous are Your works,
And that my soul knows very well.  Psalm 139:13-14

Blessed and Thankful - Word Art Wednesday 101

Hello Delightful Friends and Family!

It was a full day with the two youngest granddaughters (Addy and Tucker). I had my Wednesday morning Ladies Bible Study and then switched one of the granddaughters for a grandson once school was dismissed.  Can I just say I'm exhaustedly blessed? Okay, my spell check is saying that "exhaustedly" is not a word but hey, it works for me and I'm going with it :-)  So thankful I had enough energy left over to get this card posted!

This card was a quick and easy card.  I've taken a piece of card stock (Bazzill) and cut it an 1/8" smaller than the base (kraft c/s) and placed it in an embossing folder and ran it through the Cuttlebug.  I then took Vintage Photo (Distress Ink) and with a Ranger blending tool went over the entire piece. I added the Ranger Rock Candy Crackle Paint over the word Thankful.   I added a mini label (Taylored Expressions die) and a Mini Occasions sentiment (also Taylored Expressions), added two Liquid Pearl (Chestnut) dots then popped it up with a dimensional.

 Here is a close-up of the word that I've used Crackle paint on.  It really stands out in person but the pic does show the crackle effect pretty well.  I've done this before (last year, I think) with this embossing folder and liked the result so I thought I'd try it again.

Here is the finished inside of the card, I've stamped a sentiment from Darcie's Heart and Home (We are Thankful set) The ink is Archival Olive and the border punch is EK Success Zig Zag Stitching.

Thankful that you stopped by for a visiting!! Have a great week everyone.

For the LORD God is a sun and shield;
The LORD will give grace and glory;
No good thing will He withhold
From those who walk uprightly. Psalm 84:11

October Birthday

Hello Delightful friends, family and October!!  I'll "try" to make this quick because I have my two youngest granddaughters, Addy and Tucker coming over this morning and my crafty stuff needs to be put up because sweet Princess Tucker (age: almost 3) loves (and I mean really loves) markers.  Especially on her body, clothes and the walls.  She is fascinated by them and the last thing I need is my Copic Markers being applied to our walls! I don't like to discourage creative expression but I have to draw the line (pun intended) when it comes to my walls!

This card will be entered into the following challenges:
Creative Corner Challenges - The Great Outdoors

The stamp I've used is a brand new stamp line the lss is now carrying and it has been super popular.  The company is Crafty Individuals from England.  This stamp is called Summer Meadow and I think it's going to be great for Clean and Simple, Mixed Media and Backgrounds, it's so versatile!!
I've used Memento (Morocco) Ink to give the Summer Meadow an Autumn/October feel.  I've sponged around the edges of all the paper with Distress Inks,( Scattered Straw and Vintage Photo).  Those same inks were used to customize the seam binding ribbon.  The photo doesn't pick up the added bling on the flowers to well, but I've used Stickles (icicles).
The sentiment stamp is Penny Black's Friendship set (front and inside).  The rhinestones are Queen & Co.  Love how the Distress Inks changed the look of the Designer Paper (My Minds Eye, Lost & Found ) which is really noticeable on the scallop die (Spellbinders).  Other dies used are Spellbinders Classic Circles (Nestabilities) and My Favorite Things, Die-Namics Fish Tail Flag Stax.  The card stock used is Kraft (Paper Accents) and Neenah to stamp the image.

Here's a peek of the inside.

Thanks so much for visiting and enjoy the rest of the week!!
