Hello Delightful Friends and Family!
It was a full day with the two youngest granddaughters (Addy and Tucker). I had my Wednesday morning Ladies Bible Study and then switched one of the granddaughters for a grandson once school was dismissed. Can I just say I'm exhaustedly blessed? Okay, my spell check is saying that "exhaustedly" is not a word but hey, it works for me and I'm going with it :-) So thankful I had enough energy left over to get this card posted!
This will be entered in the Word Art Wednesday Challenge: Anything Goes #101.
This card was a quick and easy card. I've taken a piece of card stock (Bazzill) and cut it an 1/8" smaller than the base (kraft c/s) and placed it in an embossing folder and ran it through the Cuttlebug. I then took Vintage Photo (Distress Ink) and with a Ranger blending tool went over the entire piece. I added the Ranger Rock Candy Crackle Paint over the word Thankful. I added a mini label (Taylored Expressions die) and a Mini Occasions sentiment (also Taylored Expressions), added two Liquid Pearl (Chestnut) dots then popped it up with a dimensional.
Here is a close-up of the word that I've used Crackle paint on. It really stands out in person but the pic does show the crackle effect pretty well. I've done this before (last year, I think) with this embossing folder and liked the result so I thought I'd try it again.
Here is the finished inside of the card, I've stamped a sentiment from Darcie's Heart and Home (We are Thankful set) The ink is Archival Olive and the border punch is EK Success Zig Zag Stitching.
Thankful that you stopped by for a visiting!! Have a great week everyone.
For the LORD God is a sun and shield;
The LORD will give grace and glory;
No good thing will He withhold

ReplyDeleteHi Natalie! This card is a beauty :) Thanks for sharing with us and may you have a blessed day.
ReplyDeleteSometimes you just need to use your own vocabulary when the proper grammer isn't compliant ;0)! I LOVE the color and crackle on this card too!
ReplyDeleteNatalie, your word makes perfect sense to me and sounds like the best way to be exhausted. Your card is so pretty and will be such a blessing to the recipient. Thanks so much for sharing it with us at Word Art Wednesday.
ReplyDeleteI just LOVE the pressure embossing plates - in fact, I used one on my WAW project for this week. They add so much to the card. Thanks for sharing this beautiful card with us this week, Natalie. You are such a blessing to our blog, and I thank you for sharing your time and talents with us. Have a very blessed week!

Beautiful, Natalie! Love the crackle effect as it really makes the word pop!
ReplyDeleteFantastic work Natalie. I love the distressed look on this. I need to branch out and try different things. We finished our class "The Excellant Wife". I didn;t agree with her on everything but she made me do some extra reading and thinking. It was a good book.
ReplyDeleteOh Natalie! You put so much work into this precious card. How do you ever give them away? I bet each one is like a little child of yours :)
ReplyDeleteYou are such a good Grandma! Your grandchildren will have life-long memories of your presence, and how fun is that??
Blessings!
