Bountiful Thanksgiving to God - Word Art Wednesday #209

Hello Delightful friends and family!
Oh my goodness what a busy time... are you feeling it too?  I love the holidays and every year I hope I can enjoy them! It never fails that I over schedule myself in so many ways (church, home, the grandkids and work).  One of these days (years...) I'm going to learn.  I'm just thankful that I am able to do what I can do!  Which brings us to this weeks card for Word Art Wednesday and great verse for this time of year.  Did you know you can download it at WAW and it's free?  Every week there is a new digi Scripture for you to download and if you play along with our challenge there is a possibility that you could win a prize from one of our sponsors. Remember the challenge is ANYTHING GOES - FAMILY FRIENDLY. Check us out!

I've used Doodlebug Design paper (Fall Friends) and Bazzill card stock.  I love adding layers by using the Spellbinder Nestabilities, the one I've use is the Wonky Rectangle. I've used the Mini Leaves die by Sizzix and a small leaf punch by Marvy Uchida.  The large leaf is cut out of chipboard and I've colored it with various Archival inks and then used embossing
powder over it and I get a custom leaf everytime! I've used the Simon Says Stitched Circle die, then embossed with autumn leaves (Darice) and that added Antique Linen Ink with a blending tool. Adhered the layers together and voila!

Back to our Scripture verse... in this chapter in 2 Corinthians, the apostle Paul was commending the Corinthians for their willingness to be generous in their giving. Especially to the believers in Jerusalem who were going through great persecution. This can relate to us on so many levels.  To be generous, in the biblical sense of the word, has more to do with our attitudes in giving rather than our amount. (Read Mark 12:41-44 and 1 Timothy 6:17-19) However, we are blessed so that we can be a blessing in return.  I read once that "God wants us to be channels of blessings, not reservoirs of blessings" the Lord desires for us to be enriched through our giving, spiritually first then materially, otherwise He wouldn't have taught about sowing and reaping.  I hope and pray that we can be thankful for God's abundant provisions and remember that all resources come from Him, so that we too can be generous as He leads. To God be the glory!

Thanks for visiting!!

So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or out of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver.  2 Corinthians 9:7
