Word Art Wednesday! Psalm 93

Hello Delightful Friends and Family!
It's mid-week, mid-March and almost Spring!! Yippee! Looking forward to some nice warm weather.  Our flowering plum tree and wisteria are showing some little buds so that's my cue to get ready 'cause Spring is just around the corner. I've been walking twice a week with a friend and this rain here lately has been sabotaging my walks!  I really want to be more consistent with the exercise and walking but I'm not into getting rained on and battling the wind and an umbrella.  So that's another really good reason to look forward to nicer weather.

It's time for another challenge at Word Art Wednesday.  Hope you'll be able to link up a project with us! Our Sponsor this week is Freckled Fawn.  Check out their shop and fun embellishment kits!

Here is my card:

Here is the Scripture Art that is free to use for this weeks Family Friendly Anything Goes Challenge!

Here are the steps to this card which by the way is a great way to use up scraps, especially when you have lots of 6x6 paper pads with extra paper that has not been used (like I do!).
First I cut my base to be 5.5 x 11, so it's a square card which I do not do very often. So guess who will be making her own envelope, too?!
Next, I picked 3 different pattern papers from the Simple Stories Vintage Bliss Collection (wood grain, plaid, floral print).  I also chose to use Desert Storm Neenah card stock to mat the plaid paper and to add a narrow strip to the top of the card.
Then I cut out the Scripture art using the Cottage Cutz Oval Cross-Stitched die and my Big Shot.
I assembled and adhered the paper to the base and popped up the Scripture using dimensional strips, then added the bow.  This design is great for using those coordinating paper pads to choose complimentary designer papers.

One of my favorite places to hang out is the beach, my husband and I enjoy fishing in the surf for redtail perch. (yum!)  I bring that up because of our Scripture from Psalms 93:4 today.  I live about 6 miles from the ocean but there are places I can go where I can hear the ocean that far away!  Incredible!  The Lord on high is mightier than the noise of many waters, than the mighty waves of the sea.  He is mightier than those powerful waves, (remember He slept during a storm at sea in the Gospels) He is the Creator of everything, nothing is too difficult for Him.  We get anxious and worry over things that are out of our control.  But the Lord wants us to understand that He is in control. The first verse of this Psalm 93 starts out with:  "The LORD reigns, He is clothed with majesty." We can trust that He reigns over our lives and that nothing surprises Him.  We get overwhelmed, but He certainly does not, He is mightier than any problem/waves that we encounter.  He says to us "Peace, be still." I'm so glad I belong to Jesus! He proves Himself over and over again as I trust Him.

Thanks for visiting and have a great week.
