Psalm 46:10 Mixed Media WAW #31

Hello Delightful friends and family!
It was such a busy week last week that I need a little (very little) break from blogging and being on the computer this week.  But I'm back to join in on the fun at Word Art Wednesday!

There are days when you may feel you are coming apart and those are the times when you need to just step back and "be still" and let the Lord minister to your heart and work in your life.  That was the inspiration for the petals coming off the flower and even though that's a normal process in the life cycle of a flower, for us as followers of Jesus Christ we need to stay focused on Him and remember that He is the Vine that keeps us healthy and whole (holy). He is our Sustainer. So please take time in your day just to get to know the Lord, not just about Him but get to know His character and listen to Him through His Word.  He will speak to your heart if you will just be still...

This is my first attempt at mixed media and with limited colors of Stazon ink this is what I come up with. I tried to lighten it up with the yellow flowers and less ink coverage.

Ingredients: Stazon Inks; Studio Acrylic paint (yellow and red); Sharpie black pen; Stamps: Ranger, Dylusions (How Does Your Garden Grow and Inbetweenies) and Stampers Anonymous (Mixed Media CMS125); Taylored Expressions (Faith in Bloom); Lawn Fawn (Gnome Sweet Gnome); Paper: Christy Tomlinson She Art Petite 6x6 pack; Stencil: Crafter's Workshop (Floral vines); Canvas and button (my stash)

Thanks for visiting and may God richly bless your day as you abide in Him!

You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You. Isaiah 26:3

  1. Beautiful canvas art and beautiful post! Love how you've nestled the small verse amid the flowers and love the "movement" of the flowers contrasted against the fabulous scripture reminding us to be still and know Him! Thanks for the encouragement to seek Him through His Word! Hugs and blessings!

  8. Wow!! Love this. And love the symbolism behind it. About the petals that are away from the flower. So right about what you say that we as Christians we need to keep in touch with our Vine to stay focused and healthy.

Thanks so much for sharing this with us at WAW. Hope to see more of your work.
