Word Art Wednesday Challenge - Focus on the Good

Hello Delightful Friends!
I have two cards to share with you today. One I've used the Scripture Art for this weeks challenge at Word Art Wednesday.  The challenge is Anything Goes, Family friendly and our sponsor this challenge is Stix2Anything (an adhesive package!) Everyone needs adhesive!!!  So head over to the challenge and play along.
The second card is similar to the first but I've used a stamp set from Catherine Pooler called Focus on the Good.  I normally give cards that have Scripture on it that would make sense for the occasion such as get well, encouragement, sympathy etc.  Today's verse is directed to God exalting Him before the people by King David, so I had a difficult time thinking of an occasion that I would give it.  Don't get me wrong, I love God's Word, every word but some verses have more of a personal feel to them, that work well with card giving.  I don't think I would give a card with "Jesus wept" on it, if you know what I mean, so don't be offended!
That is the reason I've made another card that is similar and has a word of encouragement that reminds me of Philippians 4:8 (NKJV) which says "Finally brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy -- meditate on these things."

The fun paper I've used is from Simple Stories - Oh, Happy Day! collection.  The dies I've used are Lawn Fawn stitched rectangles, Cottage Cutz Leaves and Stems, Doodle Flowers Set 3. The flower on the first card was cut from white card stock and the base piece was colored with Copics BG57, BG72 which matched the paper perfectly! The flower on the second card is a felt flower from Heidi Swapp that I've been hoarding!  I've added a yellow button and hemp cording, all the leaves are die cut from Lawn Fawn 6x6 paper pad In the Polka Meadow.

Thanks so much for visiting!!  Don't forget to visit us at Word Art Wednesday.

Thanks Paper Smooches! Word Art Wednesday Challenge

Hello Delightful Friends!  (sorry for being a bit late posting this)
So glad you are here and I hope you will be able to join our challenge this week at Word Art Wednesday featuring our sponsor Paper Smooches!!!  I've used the Paper Smooches "Best Buds" stamp and attempted to do a no-line watercoloring technique.  As always, the Anything Goes, Family Friendly Challenge runs for two weeks and Paper Smooches is sponsoring the prize of a $25 gift code for a random drawn winner.  Thank you, Kim!!

The Scripture Art is from Philippians 2:16 and isn't required to play along but it is free to use if you choose to!

Are you holding on to God's Word as the plumb line for truth in this day we are living?  My goodness things are certainly in an uproar in the earthly sense. (in the spiritual sense, I know God is in control!)  I am so glad I can keep my eyes and heart focused on the Lord Jesus and knowing Him, keeps me steady and strong in this crazy world.  In our Scripture today, the apostle Paul was troubled about the believers there in the Philippian church, so much that he had to write to them about his concerns.  He was hoping that the work he had done there was fruitful and that they were standing strong in the Lord against the external conflicts going on around them. If you read the entire letter, you will be encouraged, especially if you are going through a difficult season!  Knowing that you can have joy and peace in the midst of difficult circumstances is truly based on a life that is completely committed to Jesus Christ. God stands ready, willing, and able to help you in every facet of your life if you ask Him.

Thanks for visiting and have a blessed day!

Happy 4th of July - Word Art Wednesday Challenge

Hello Delightful friends!

Another beautiful day on the northcoast!  My flowers are looking so pretty in our backyard and it's so refreshing to just sit back there in the morning and wait for the hummingbirds to visit the magenta butterfly bush while I'm enjoying my coffee!
Well it is time for our Word Art Wednesday Challenge.  This weeks sponsor is Stamp Simply Clear Stamps!  Be sure and check out their blog for inspiration.  Our Scripture Art is Psalm 119:45 and you can grab it over at Word Art Wednesday and use it if you like.  The challenge is Anything Goes, Family Friendly and runs for 2 weeks.  You can share 5 new projects weekly!

Here is my card:

I've used the Coffee & Tea die (small cup) as a vase from our sponsor Stamp Simply.
Other dies used: Catherine Pooler  Morning Joe Border die; Altenew Fantasy Floral die (greenery);
Doodlebug design Patriotic Parade paper; Copic black pen 0.1 for doodling a frame around the Scripture art and red ribbon from stash.  A2 size card.

And I will walk at liberty: for I seek Your precepts. Psalm 119:45

Obedience and the pursuit of God's Word and wisdom leads to liberty! We should continually seek after God's precepts (His Word) so that our life and conduct honors Him and we will enjoy the benefits of freedom, spiritually speaking.  Freedom truly comes through obedience and submission to God through the Lord Jesus Christ. Understanding the goodness and grace of God brings great hope in the life of a believer.  I pray that you are living in that hope which comes from a relationship with Jesus Christ.  He is a faithful High Priest making intercession for us continually.  Thank You, Lord for Your Word!

Thanks for visiting today and God bless!
