Greater is He - Word Art Wednesday

Hello Delightful friends and family!
I pulled out my Prismacolor Pencils and attempted to color this adorable image from All Dressed Up.  I'm still learning the art of color pencils so don't judge me too harshly (lol) I didn't have the proper colors for the flesh tones so I had to "wing it" with a couple of colors I had in my stash.  This card today is for the challenge at Word Art Wednesday - it's a family friendly anything goes challenge (#319 & #320).  Don't forget to link up your projects - there are prizes to be won!  This weeks sponsors are the Project Bin ($15) and Imagine That (digital prize). Be sure to check out their blog and shops for crafty inspiration!  The more times you enter (up to 5) the better your changes are to win prize!  We had over 300 entries last challenge!!

Here is a little info on the card.  The digi image is from All Dressed Up.  I've colored it with Prisma pencils, then diecut it out using a Cottage Cutz Square cross stitched die. I then diecut a stitched circle in green and put it to the side of the image for a little interest and added 3 watercolored butterflies that I had punched out using a Marvy Uchida small butterfly punch that I've had for ages! I embellished them with Liquid Pearls. The pattern paper is from Simple Stories called DIY. I then mat the Scripture art in green card stock and then assembled the card layers onto an A2 white card stock base.

You can use this Word Art if you'd like! Each challenge has a new Scripture.

Our verse today gives us great encouragement! It reminds us that we are born of God, taught of God and anointed of God through His Holy Spirit which makes us overcomers in this world.  We have so many worldly things coming against us to overthrow our faith but knowing that Christ in us is greater, should give us confidence to endure.  Of course it helps to read the full chapter of John 4 or better yet the whole letter to get a greater understanding of what is being taught. At that time this letter was being written to help believers recognize a false teaching.(ironic how this is so relevant even today!)
I find myself quoting this very Scripture when going through a trial or any difficulty and it brings peace and an assurance in God that is unshakable. I would like to encourage you to read the Book of 1 John, memorize Scripture and let the living Word teach and speak to your heart, it will give you hope!

Thanks so much for visiting today.  Have a great week.
