Word Art Wednesday Challenge - Sending Sunshine!

Hello Delightful Friends!

Just getting back from a few days of vacation.  My husband I celebrated our 49th anniversary so we took off a few days from work and headed northeast for a little rest and relaxation.  Little did we know that we were heading into a heatwave. We knew it would be warmer, but it was thirty-five degrees hotter than what we were used to!  Thank the Lord for air conditioners!  We did get to relax, did a little shopping, had a nice dinner for our anniversary and I got to read a book by the pool, in the shade, under an umbrella and lots of water.
But I'm back in time for our next challenge at Word Art Wednesday and we have a delightful sponsor - Pear Blossom Press.  My goodness you have to check out their blog and store! They have online tutorials, livestreaming and Zoom classes on Sundays.
I have used the One Light package for my card to light up the sun.  I think it turned out pretty cute and it was really easy to assemble.  The whole center of the sun lights up when you press the stamped word "PUSH".  You can get an idea how it shines by the candle on the birthday card in the package.

Here's my card:

Ingredients:
Paper: Yellow Glitter card stock, Sugar Cube card stock, Sprinkles card stock (Taylored Expressions) Sending Sunshine Remix 6x6 (Lawn Fawn- blue clouds)
Stamp: Simple Sending Stamp & Die (TE); Checking In background stamp (TE)
Ink: Sprinkles, Sweet Corn, (TE) Versafine Clair Nocturne;
Dies: Cloud Stacklets (TE) Spring Showers (Lawn Fawn)

Thanks for visiting and hope you'll be playing along with the challenge.  Don't forget you can upload 5 new projects a week for a chance to win the sponsored prize.  It's an Anything Goes - Family Friendly challenge and for more details head over to Word Art Wednesday!

See you back in a couple of weeks for another challenge with another sponsor!  Have a blessed day!

Word Art Wednesday - One for the Books!

Hello Delightful Friends!
The new school year locally is one week away, I can't believe how fast the time has gone this summer.  Of course, here where I live, summer is actually just now starting at least "weather-wise".  Our summer weather is late August through mid October.  All this doesn't affect me since I have no children in school but it's kind of sad having such nice weather to enjoy while sitting in a classroom.
Anyway, the card I made this week is probably going to be sent to my grandson who will be starting 7th grade, and he still likes my cards! 😊  However, it would be ideal to send to a teacher, too. It would be super cute in primary colors, wouldn't it? I just might make another one....

Word Art Wednesday has it's challenge starting today and runs for two weeks!  You can enter 10X, 5 times a week but it must be a new project and the theme is Anything Goes - Family Friendly.  Our sponsor for this challenge is Stix to Anything and is an adhesives package.  How important is adhesive to a card maker or scrapbooker?!! So yay! Thank you Stix to Anything.

Here is my card for this weeks challenge and of course I used adhesive and 3-D adhesive foam strips to pop up some of the elements on my card design.

I can't seem to find this weeks Scripture Art but if you go to Word Art Wednesday they will have the free Scripture Art for you.
Here are the ingredients to my card: (all from Taylored Expressions, except the black ink)

Paper: Sugar Cube, Tiki Mule
Ink: Honeydew Melon, Tiki Mule, Peapod, Honey, Dijon, Toffee, Latte; Versafine Clair Nocturne
Stamps: Classroom Canvas Background; Up Against A Wall split 6x6 background; Treat Your Shelf - Back to School (clear stamp set)
Stencil: Treat Your Shelf  6x6 Layering Stencil; Treat Your Shelf - Back to School (Layering Stencil and Die Combo)
Dies: Treat Your Shelf
ADHESIVES: Nuvo Deluxe Adhesive; E-Z Dots repositionable adhesive dots (Scrapbook Adhesives); 3M double sided foam tape (0.5")

Thanks so much for visiting and God Bless!  And along with the title of "One for the Books" my favorite book is the Bible, I definitely recommend it!  B-I-B-L-E  "Basic Instructions before Leaving Earth!
