Camouflaging Dies - Word Art Wednesday

Hello!!
Hope this day is going well for you, I'm preparing to head out for a little league game but wanted to get this card posted real quick like!
It's a stenciled background (Tim Holtz Flourishes) and I've used 3 different Distress Inks on the card.  (Chipped Sapphire, Salty Ocean and Tumbled Glass) and then I masked off the lines with painters tape and used the Chipped Sapphire and Tumbled Glass to make the strips of color.  The die is from Lawn Fawn (Thanks) and the technique is from Here called Camouflaging Dies.  (sorry the pics so bad I took this at night and I usually do the photos outside in better lighting.)

Here is a better look at the dimension of the Thanks sentiment die. I diecut the thanks directly from the inked up paper and set it aside with all the little pieces and then I diecut 3 more in white card stock to stack them up and adhered them together to make it pop, then I added the last "thanks" that matched up with the design of the card.

I will be sharing this at Word Art Wednesday #181 (Anything Goes - Family Friendly)

Thanks for visiting, I'm off to the ballgame!

Birthday Balloons

Hello!
Hope you all are having a wonderful week!  Here is a card I did for a birthday last week but hadn't had time to post.  I will be sharing this at Seize the Birthday (Topping: Make your own background) this is my second card to share for the challenge.  The stamp set is from Avery Elle (Balloons).

I stamped the Happy and Birthday with Avery Elle Pigment Ink (Raspberry and Lemon Grass) and the "to you" is Archival Ink (buttercup).  I've embossed with Wow clear embossing powder.  I also used the Avery Elle Dies that coordinate with this stamp set and thankfully the little embellishments are part of the die set, too.  If you look close you can see my "mess ups" with the stamping of those little "confetti" pieces which is part of my background.  The background  confetti was an afterthought which was really dumb on my part because I had already adhered the balloons!  So.... I laid  down some of the coordinating inks on white c/s and then embossed it in clear, then die cut confetti pieces  and added them to the card to add dimension and "kind of"  clean up my goofs. (Note to self: backgrounds should be done before layers are added!) Well that's it for me today, super busy day at work today and I'm exhausted tonight, so I will pass up the craftroom tonight and probably browse Pinterest for some  inspiration!

Take care and thanks for visiting!!

Birthday Card - Birch background

Hello Delightful Friends and Family!
Here is a card with an interesting background.  I've stamped white pigment ink onto white card stock.  I hope you'll be able to see it.  I've inked around the edges with Distress Ink Antique Linen and I think that will make it a bit more obvious but it is very subtle.  It's a very cool technique and the tone on tone with the birch background stamp (Our Daily Bread Designs) gives a great masculine look.  The main dies are all from the Birch Tree Accessories (Taylored Expressions), the sentiment is also from T.E. (Goody Goody Gumballs). (I've handwritten the 50 mi) The notched border die is from MFT.  I made this card for one of the guys at church whose wife was giving him a surprise party.

I will be sharing this at Seize the Birthday (Toppings - Make your own background)

Showered with Love Card and a Little Baseball, too!

Hello Delightful friends and family,

Hope this finds you all well.  Sure glad I was able to stay in and have a day off from watching the little ones play baseball.  Not that I mind going to their games at all but it is so windy and cold even though it looks like such a nice day with the sun shining so brightly!  Thankful I had a blanket in the car to take to the game on Tuesday evening.  Brrrr!
(I do have a card to share but had to share the grandkids playing ball first! )

Even Princess Riley (age 7) had a jacket on over her uniform.
All ready at 3rd base!

Princess Addy is ready at 2nd base! To be honest the picture before this one she was playing in the dirt.

Jakob (age 8) all ready to hit the ball (and he did!)

Here is the card (finally!):

I made this for my daughter-in-law who needed a card for a baby shower she was attending.

I've used the Taylored Expressions Hello Baby Stamp & die combo. I love all the little elements for the "mobile" each is a die included with the set. I've added Glossy Accents to each of them.   I stamped the pink cloud with Versamark Ink and heat emboss with white embossing powder.  The sentiment and stitched lines were stamped with Avery Elle pigment ink (Raspberry) and then heat embossed with the clear embossing powder (Wow! ...that's the brand but it is pretty incredible!!!).  I love the stitched scallop border from Lawn Fawn and I've used the Echo Park Dots and Stripes 6x6 pad and the Bundle of Joy - A New Addition Girl 6x6 paper pad.
I almost forgot the cloudy background, I used Distress Ink (Salty Ocean) and with the Rolling Clouds Build A Scene die (Taylored Expressions) I cut a template and used it to make the clouds, it's really faint but it's there!
I will be sharing this at Word Art Wednesday #180 Anything Goes

Thanks for visiting, enjoy the rest of your week!

Curtain Call Bouquet Challenge

Hello Delightful friends and family,

Here is a card I did using Dylusion sprays on an acrylic block and a water brush to color on watercolor paper (Ranger).   Isn't this stamp so cute, it's by Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps called Sunshine and Flowers.  It is such a fun set!  I'm writing this up on my lunchbreak at work so I'm sorry I don't remember which company made the "hello"
I will be sharing this over at Curtain Call with the challenge "Bouquet".

Thanks for visiting!!  Hope to share another card tomorrow!
I'll be heading to Addy and Riley Ann's softball game after work today and hope to get some cute pictures of the little granddaughter's playing ball!!  They are so fun to watch!

Great Job!

Hello Delightful Friends and Family!

It's a beautiful day in our neck of the woods!  The sun is streaming in through the windows, oh wait, through dirty windows, oh yuck!  I think that means not only is spring here but spring cleaning, too!  I did find a moment last night to color (yay!) and make a card.  I will be sharing this at Simon Says Stamps(April Showers bring Spring Flowers) and Word Art Wednesday #178 Anything Goes.

Here is my colorful encouragement card:

I was inspired by the way the Designer (Nancy Penir) offset her flower to the side of her tag on her card.  But I was too late to play!

I've colored with Copic Markers and the tag is from the Tim Holtz Alterations Tag Collection Die set, the image is from Sizzix Stephanie Ackerman  Flowers #5 stamp and die set and the sentiment is from Paper Smooches - Good Gab.  The embossing folder is also a Stephanie Ackerman Sizzix product called Borders and Flowers. I've stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and Archival Jet Black ink (sentiment)

Thanks so much for visiting!  Have a blessed day.

Today's Blessing!

Hey  Delightful Friends and Family!
Just a quick post to share a card. All four of the grandkids are coming over and I think my crafty time will be  limited for today! There will not be one dull moment :-) Maybe they will be still enough for me to snap a few pictures though.

Here is my CAS card and the picture is terrible!  I gave the card away for a fundraiser already so I cannot retake the picture (bummer!).
The background paper is from Kaiser Craft Blue Bay Collection and the Spellbinder Floral Cutting Plate is this gorgeous design I cut from a Pearlized (Natural) card stock from Scrapper's Edge. We use this paper often for the wedding invitations that are designed.  I thought it would look so pretty over the lacy designer paper.  Blessings is a Paper Smooches stamp (Good Gab) and I used the Lawn Fawn stitched border die to add the dotted lines.

I will be sharing this at Word Art Wednesday #178 and Paper Smooches both are Anything Goes this week!

Thanks for visiting!  Have a fun day, I sure plan to!

Watercolor Tea Set - Seize the Birthday and WAW#177

Hello Delightful friends and family!
My last post I shared a card that I colored with Copic Markers and I used the same sweet image in this card but I colored with watercolors.  This is my first attempt at coloring a stamped image with watercolors, not too bad for a beginner but there is always room for improvement! This is the birthday card I gave to my daughter Kelly.  I will be sharing this at Seize the Birthday and Word Art Wednesday.  Both challenges are Anything Goes.
So here goes:

I used the textured side of the Ranger Watercolor paper and the stamp & sentiment is from Taylored Expressions.  I'm not sure what brand the watercolors are but they are very inexpensive and I did use a few Prismacolor watercolor pencils for some of the image.  I used Wink of Luna (gold) and Glossy Accents to embellish.

Thanks for visiting!

As we celebrate Good Friday and Resurrection Sunday, I hope you will consider reflecting on the great price our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ paid to redeem us from the penalty of sin and death and it's through believing in Him we have eternal life.

But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8
