I made a few cards for a friend and thought I'd share them with you all.  Here are two from the set, I kept the design simple and the inside I've added a layer of white card stock so that she can write a note. I'll be sharing these at the Sister Act  Card Challenge Blog. This is challenge #22.

Thoughts and Prayers - WAW #95

Hello Delight friends and family.  

Just a quick post to share a card I made.  My cousin passed away a couple of weeks ago and I wanted to make a handmade card to send to the family.  It seems here of late I've been needing more of these cards of comfort.  I've kept a simple design and wanted the sentiments to be the focus.

The stamp sets I've used are from Taylored Expressions (Summer Days and Care and Comfort)

Inside sentiment is framed out with coordinating design paper from the front.

Friendships

Hello Delightful friends and family!

I found a little time to squeeze in some craft time (yippee!) I cannot believe how busy this summer has been.  School will be starting in about a week and that means that Jakob will be going to 1st grade and Addy will be in preschool for a couple of days a week and my little sweetie pies aren't going to be needing this Grammie as much.  On the positive side, I may get a little more time to clean house (ha!)

So... onto my card...

Lots of layers are including in this card.  The designer paper (WeR Memory Keepers - Happy Campers) came from my Key Ingredient Kit from Taylored Expressions.  The stamp set is MFT Chalkboard Greetings. I've used Bazzil card stock and Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  Flower - Making Memories, Hemp Cording - Darice, Button - my stash, EK Success corner rounder.

Love Bugs Anniversary card

Hello Delightful friends and family,

Here is an anniversary card I made for a sweet couple who are celebrating 50 years!! Wow!  We will be celebrating 37 years this week so I'd best get busy and make my dear sweetie a special card.  We just got back from our annual trip to San Francisco to watch the Giants play a couple of games and enjoy Fellowship Day there, too.  That is where the Christian ballplayers come out after the game and share their testimonies with those of us who stick around.  They also treated us with a concert featuring the Christian band Kutless.  It was really fun!

 The stamp set I used was a cute set from Taylored Expressions called Love Bugs which included a matching die set.  I also used Mini Occasions (on the tag.) I've colored it with Copic markers and used Spica Pens for a little bling. Designer Paper is My Minds Eye "The Sweetest Thing" and I've used the Deconstructed Sketch 113 for inspiration.

Inside sentiment is from Penny Black Stamps (Friendship/transparent set)

With Sympathy

Hello Delightful Friends and Family!!

Just a quick post to share a card I made for our friends whose father passed away a few weeks ago and the memorial service is this Saturday.  I kept the card simple but I know my friend loves sunflowers so that was the inspiration for the card.

Happy Birthday

Hi Delightful friends and family!!

It's been a couple of weeks since posting here, summer fun is keeping me busy with the grandkids and my oldest daughter's dog (golden retriever, 9 months and 80lbs!), Ruby.  We've been going to the library, walking the dog and just the normal routine of every day is making this summer fly by.  Next week it's a trip to the small local zoo with all four of the grandkiddoes!  I did manage to squeeze in a card for my son-in-law whose birthday is next week.  I was inspired by a card I saw in the Paper Crafts magazine I was perusing at the grocery store yesterday.  I have no idea who made the original card, unfortunately I didn't have my glasses on so I couldn't read the fine print and I didn't buy the magazine!  I apologize and thank you for the inspiration whoever you are!!
