It's been just over a week since I've posted anything crafty!! Yikes!! It's Blog Hop Time with Christian Paper Crafts!!

Welcome to this months Christian Paper Crafts Blog Hop featuring the men in our lives! I've been in the scrappy mood, so I've made some layouts that I will be sharing.
This first one features my grandson (he is the little man in my life!) and his love for playing in the dirt and digging for worms!! I've used the BoBunny Designer Paper "U Bug Me!" and the coordinating stickers, Bazzill card stock, and Heidi Swapp brads. I handwrote the journaling.

close-up of journaling and Mr. Worm. FYI: no worms were hurt in this hunting segment. All worms were placed in a nice new home of dirt in a barrell with live plants for safe keeping and will be watered and tended to with care.

My second layout features "Poppa's Posse" our three oldest grandchildren taking a walk with their Poppa (my hero and dh!)

The pics just don't do these justice, the paper and the embellies are so much more vibrant in color in person!

The Designer Paper is My Mind's Eye "Quite Contrary" and the fun embellishments are the Icon and Alpha stickers and chipboard from Echo Park "Summer Days" I've used Bazzill card stock and the ribbon is from Taylored Expressions.

I've saved the best for last! I was so blessed to catch this on film. Addy is showing Jakob (older brother) her little boo-boo. And what does big brother do? He shows compassion and kisses that boo-boo to make it all better! Cousin Riley Ann is watching and taking it all in.

The ingredients I've used: Echo Park Designer paper "Summer Time" with the coordinating Alpha and Icon stickers, journaling paper and chipboard, Bazzill card stock, EK Success Round Binding Edge border punch, Circle Scallop border punch. I handwrote the journaling.
Thanks for looking and enjoy the rest of the blog hop!

Be sure and join in the hop here and get all the fantastic details at the Christian Paper Crafts Creative Blog! There are prizes so head over the the Creative Blog!!! Looking forward in seeing what you will be sharing with us!!

God bless!!

Fun at the Tot Lot!

It's been a while since I've posted pics of the grandbabies so please indulge me here!! They are growing so fast and I got to have all 4 of them together. It was a beautiful day and Amy, my daughter in law and I, took advantage of the nice day and walked to the little tot lot in town. Next time it will be the big park but for today this was a perfect outing!

From oldest to the youngest:

Jakob age 4

Riley age 3

Addy (she will be 2 in less than a month)

Tucker Lynn (6 months)

Couldn't resist sharing this pic of Jake kissing little sister Addy's boo-boo!

These little darlings had a fun day in the sun and I cannot wait to start scrapbooking these pictures! I am definitely blessed and enjoying God's goodness that He is pouring out on me! To God be the glory!

Blast from the Past Blog Hop

Welcome to all you delightful blog hoppers!!
Today we are having some fun with the Taylored Expression stamps that were released prior to March 2011. This month the theme is geared toward the guys "Make it Manly." Father's Day is just around the corner so that was my inspiration! I've used the stamp set called In the Park. Love this set (what's not to love about it!!) it has so many fun possibilities to create! I've stamped the park bench onto a piece of Creative Imaginations paper that is licensed by John Deere (does that make it manly or what!) and it looks just like the side of the barn. Of course the picnic lunch basket and pup are sitting on it so it's difficult to see. The Gingham is a piece of designer paper from g.c.d Studios - The Great Outdoors Collection. Thanks to Sankari for supplying the fun sketch to inspire us!

Man's best friend (basket of food AND the dog!)

Other ingredients used: Card stock: Neenah (bright white); Bazzill (Pomegranate, Jacaranda); Ink: Memento, rich cocoa and Palette, black; Images were colored with Copics (sorry all put away so I'm not sure which ones I used); Glossy Accents by Ranger to "weather proof" the basket :-) American Crafts ribbon (and my stash - white ribbon); Spellbinders Nestabilities: Reverse Wonky Rectangles and Standard Circles large.
Here is a CAS card that I CASE'd from Regina Mangum, I've used the Kids At Heart set, I'm having so much fun with these stamps! I've used Bazzill card stock (base) and Neenah (bright white to stamp on. Archival Ink (Crimson), American Crafts ribbon and Spellbinders Nestabilities Reversed Wonky Rectangles are the rest of the ingredients. Clean and simple, fast and easy!!

Thanks for looking and leaving a delightful comment!! Enjoy the rest of the hop, you will find the rest of the participants at the end of the post - grab another cup of coffee and enjoy!

(Don't forget to join the Christian Paper Crafts blog hop featuring the guys on May 22!!)

My "Gracie" card - BLDC#16

Happy Wednesday you all!!

I hope this card brings a smile to your face. The digis designed by Lori Boyd remind me so much of my girls when they were little and my granddaughters now, I cannot help but love them!

I haven't added a sentiment yet to this one because I couldn't decide if it should be a "Thinking of you" or "Birthday" card! So, the inside is "to be determined." I'm getting quite the collection of these Lollipops By Lori Designs and this cutie patootie is "Gracie." I've followed this sketch challenge for the week, but of course I've taken a few liberties but I love sketches to "jump start" the creative juices flowing!
I just got a new digi named Landon from BYLORiDesigns that I cannot wait to color but it will be for Christian Paper Crafts Father's Day Design Team Delights and you'll have to come over there to check it out! The DT reveal will be on May 15!

Stretch Your Sketch #8

Surprise surprise! Hope all my delightful friends and family are having a blessed day! What is the surprise? Well... I did a scrapbook page, can you believe it? It's been months since I've done a page AND tomorrow is NATIONAL SCRAPBOOK DAY! Does your community have a local scrapbook store that is celebrating? Well, I happen to work at a lss and we are having a tropical theme and having lots of fun planned for the day. I hope you will take time to support your local store!
I did not do a page just because it's NSD but I thought I'd best get myself in gear and start getting my youngest granddaughter's book started. She's already 6 months old (and a darlin' too) . Molly our hostess for Stretch Your Sketch at Christian Paper Crafts chose a fun sketch from Gloria Stengel and this is my take on it!

Day 3 of the Birthday Celebration at Christian Paper Crafts!

Welcome back and God bless you for visiting today!! This is the 3rd challenge as we celebrate our 2nd Birthday at CPC!! I hope you are joining in our festivities, there are some fabulous prizes to be won!! Check out the details here at the CPC CREATIVE BLOG

Todays challenge is to CASE, Cindy Coutts our founder! Her gallery is amazing! I have to tell off on myself, I was cruising her gallery trying to pick out one card to CASE and I was having a difficult time choosing and it was getting late and I ran across one CAS card (or so I thought) and thought this would be perfect (even though I have a hard time with CAS!!) And was really pleased with the outcome. Then I began looking a little closer and realized Cindy's "card" was really the inside of her card!! Oh brother, did I feel silly!! But that just shows her work is fabulous inside and out. But as I got to thinking about it, the Lord reminded me, that just as Cindy is a new creation in Christ, it is what He has done for her on her inside that really counts! So I got a mini sermon out of making this card! To God be the glory!

Here is my card:
