Sketch Tuesday at CPC!

Just a quick hello and a card to share for this weeks Sketch Tuesday! Gloria has a fabulous sketch for us at Christian Paper Crafts and I managed to get a card done late last night and finally able to get it posted! I had fun trying a new technique to make this "blossoming" flower that I saw on Mercy Kerin's blog and HERE is the link to the tutorial. I did use a smaller scallop circle punch so I used less layers and it doesn't look exactly like the one in the tutorial but I guess that's the fun part of improvising when you don't have the exact tools on hand!

I kept mine pretty plain but can you see this sprayed with some GlimmerMist? I will be trying this again (with the Glimmer Mist!!). Wonderful way to use up those scraps! I recommend using doubleside paper. I used cardstock and a couple of the BG Origins paper.

Here's a side view so that you can see the layers (approx 6)

Ingredients:
Paper: Basic Grey (Origins) and Bazzill
Stamps: Inkadinkadoo (sentiment) and Swirls by Hot Off the Press
Ink: Archival, coffee
Embellishments: brad, Making Memories; Dimensional Pearls, Adirondack
Tools: Punches (3) EK success, corner rounder; Large Blossom, Marvy Uchida; Small scallop circle, Marvy Uchida.

Tomorrow I'll have another card to share from the Basic Grey Origins paper, I'm almost done making a set of cards for my mom. Thanks for looking and have a wonderful week!
