Word Art Wednesday Challenge - He is Risen!

Blessings to my Delightful friends!

Can you believe the month of March is almost over?  It has truly flown by and this is our third challenge for the month for Word Art Wednesday.  Our sponsor for this challenge is Crafty Individuals. Be sure and check out the store and the blog for fabulous inspiration.

Our challenge is Anything Goes (Family Friendly) which includes cards, scrapbook pages, journals, Bible journaling & mixed media AND you can share your project at our Challenge Blog HERE.  You can upload 5 new projects a week (the challenge is for 2 weeks!) the more you enter the better chance to win!  We also have Scripture Art that you can use but is not required to play along.

Here is my card:

I've used the Scripture Art for the week, Matthew 28:6 (perfect for Resurrection Sunday!)
This is a Mini Slim Top Fold card base (Sugar Cube) that I've used and a new layering stencil called the Triple Slim "In the Garden" you can order the coordinating  paper (Triple Slim Line in Sugar Cube or Toffee) which makes 3 different mini slim line card layers (see the samples here).  All the products I've used are from Taylored Expressions.  The inks I've used are: Lime Zest, Strawberry Milkshake, Guava, Peaches 'N Cream, Candy Corn (mainly for shading) & Lemon Meringue.

I printed the Scripture Art on Vellum.

Thanks so very much for visiting and I hope you will play along and share your crafty creations!

Word Art Wednesday - God is More Than Enough

Hello Delightful friends,

I have an encouraging card to share today for the Word Art Wednesday Challenge (Anything Goes / Family Friendly).  I like to find different ways to use my stamps and dies and so that was my mindset when I started planning this one.  I knew I was going to incorporate the Starry Background (DRS Designs, our sponsor this week).   So, I had been thinking on this for a few days.  I also changed my mind a few times!! I've used 5 different dies from different companies too. But I really like how it turned out!

Here is my card (ingredients and steps follow):

First I picked out some pieces of card stock from my stash and stamped the Starry Background using Versamark Ink.  I used the Ranger White Embossing powder, then heat set it.  Then I die cut the balloons, I diecut a bunch of them but only used three on my card.  The die was from the Party Time set from Taylored Expressions (I think it's retired though...). The strings for the balloons are part of the set and so is the tiny bow.  I glued the strings to the back of the balloons and set them aside.  Next I used the Stitched Scallop Rectangle die (Pink Fresh Studios) and choose one of the cute plaids from the Doodlebug Designs 6x6 pad (Made With Love set).  It's double sided and the yellow polk-a-dot paper hillside is the backside of the plaid. I die cut it using the Simple Stitched Hillside die from Lawn Fawn.
Now to put it together:  On the card base, adhere the yellow hillside (make sure it's just a tad bit smaller than the card base so that it fits beneath the plaid "rectangle frame" After those two are glued down stamp the sentiment, I've used Earl Grey ink (Taylored Expressions) and the sentiment is from Sweet 'N Sassy Stamps called God is for You.  Then start arranging the balloons, I've popped up the light green and yellow balloons with dimensional tape after I glued down the teal balloon.  Lastly I added the teeny tiny bow and a clear Bits & Pieces Drip Drop (T.E.) to the balloon strings.
Seems like a lot of steps but once I knew what I wanted to do, the card came together quickly.

Hope you like it and I do appreciate you visiting.  Don't forget to play along with us at Word Art Wednesday, the challenge lasts for two weeks and you can link up 5 new projects a week!

Remember, no matter what you are facing in this crazy life, the Lord will be with you and He is more than enough to see you through.  Jesus will never leave you, nor will He forsake you.

Blessings!

Word Art Wednesday with Taylored Expressions!

Hello Delightful Friends!

I'm so excited to share a card I made for our challenge at Word Art Wednesday using quite a few products from our Sponsor Taylored Expressions!  One of my favorite stamp companies, actually my first stamp set I ever purchased online was a Tea-themed set that was so cute.  It's retired now, but I still pull it out from time to time.  I loved getting the Taylored Expressions Key Ingredient kit every month waaay baaack when... and playing along in the challenges.
So I've been a fan for a long time!
Today my card features the March kit (unfortunately it is sold out 😢 called Graceful Ferns...an Expression of Sympathy which works nicely with our Scripture Art for this weeks challenge. It's never fun to have to make a sympathy card but it's a wonderful way to express love and comfort during a difficult time, through a handmade card. My son-in-law Ray just passed away January 30th of this year so it's first hand knowledge receiving cards with such heartfelt sentiments.
There were some excellent Scripture verses included in this kit, hopefully they will release the stamp set with the verses to sell individually.

Here is my card for this weeks Anything Goes/Family Friendly challenge:

Other Ingredients:

Don't forget to play along at the WAW Blog.  Share your new crafty creations with us and perhaps you will be the winner for the prize from Taylored Expressions!  Enter a new crafty project 5x each week during the two week challenge.
