Card Full of Thanks and belated Congrats to my team!

Hello again Delightful Friends and Family,
I am supposed to be doing some work around the house instead of posting a card! Just couldn't help myself when I saw this sketch at Try Stampin' on Tuesday #192!  Easy peasy and I was wanting to try this stamping technique using different "thank you" stamps.  Hope you like my results!

Stamps: Paper Smooches; Dies: Spellbinder Nestabilities Oval (scallop and regular) and Lawn Fawn Stitched leaves. Ink: Hero Arts Shadow Ink in Field Greens mid-tone and Archival Jet Black
Base: Neenah Desert Storm, Bazzill Card Stock, not sure about the maker of the designer paper, it was in a Key Ingredient Kit from Taylored Expressions a couple of years ago.

Thanks for visiting!  Enjoy your day.

If you continue in My word, you really are My disciples.  You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.  John 8:31-32

PS.  I'm a little bit late on this but CONGRATULATIONS to the World Series Champions: San Francisco Giants!  That's my team!!! Yay!! What a crazy season! And what a great series with the Kansas City Royals - very exciting!

Happy Anniversary, Love You Tons! (STS #27)

Hello Delightful friends and family!
What a quick month this has been! The grandkids are back in school (except Princess Tucker) so I'll have a bit more free time (well, in my mind anyway...) it seems I can always fill up that "free" time with housework and getting caught up on some work at the church.  I'm getting my craftroom organized, one area at a time, that's exciting!  My sweet hubby and I celebrated our 38th wedding anniversary last Friday and here is the card I made him.  I used the sketch from Seize the Sketch challenge blog.  This is their last challenge, they are closing down (bummer!) I really liked following the inspiration over there.  Here is the card for their last challenge:
I paper pieced the elephants instead of coloring them.  This stamp set is from Lawn Fawn.

Inside sentiment is from Paper Smooches and I colored the hearts lightly with a Copic Marker.

I will also be entering this at Word Art Wednesday #147 Anything Goes

The last few baseball seasons we've been going to a couple of San Francisco Giant games each year and we always try to schedule our trip for Fellowship Day at AT&T Park where the Christian ballplayers share their testimonies. The last three years have included a concert with a popular Christian music artist.  This year was Natalie Grant.  Wow!! It was great!  Here are some pictures I took of the game on Friday night and two following the Saturday game for Fellowship Day.  Some of the proceeds for the event went to the Salvation Army and the athletes paid for the concert.  Pretty nice and a real blessing!

We had a wonderful time with our friends the Clarks and hope to go again next summer, thanks to the San Francisco Giants organization!  Go Giants!

Thanks for visiting and letting me share a bit with you!

Love Bugs Anniversary card

Hello Delightful friends and family,
Here is an anniversary card I made for a sweet couple who are celebrating 50 years!! Wow!  We will be celebrating 37 years this week so I'd best get busy and make my dear sweetie a special card.  We just got back from our annual trip to San Francisco to watch the Giants play a couple of games and enjoy Fellowship Day there, too.  That is where the Christian ballplayers come out after the game and share their testimonies with those of us who stick around.  They also treated us with a concert featuring the Christian band Kutless.  It was really fun!

The stamp set I used was a cute set from Taylored Expressions called Love Bugs which included a matching die set.  I also used Mini Occasions (on the tag.) I've colored it with Copic markers and used Spica Pens for a little bling. Designer Paper is My Minds Eye "The Sweetest Thing" and I've used the Deconstructed Sketch 113 for inspiration.

Inside sentiment is from Penny Black Stamps (Friendship/transparent set)

Here are a few pictures from our weekend getaway!

It was really neat to be down on the field.

Kutless leading in some energetic praise music.

(from left to right: a player from the Baltimore Orioles Brian Roberts, Barry Zito, Santiago Cassius, Brandon Belt, Ryan Vogelsong, and Jeremy Affeldt)

Thanks so much for visiting!

I thank my God always concerning you for the grace of God which was given to you by Christ Jesus,
(1 Corinthians 1:4)

Fun in the Sun At Baseball's Spring Training

Hello Delightful Sport friends and family!!  I'm back from a mini vacation with my daughter, mom, sister and nephew.  It was my Christmas gift from them, a trip to Arizona to watch the San Francisco Giants Spring Training!  I just wanted to share a few of the highlights and I promise I won't show all 192 pictures that I've taken!  I have to admit it was just a little tough leaving the 80 degree weather and returning to northern California and the 42 degrees and rain!!
The first game was against the Angels in their field in Tempe, AZ.  My daughter Amy and I went to that game and when she purchased the tickets she didn't realize it would be a split squad (boo-hoo!) however our seats were behind homeplate two rows up!! Awesome!!!! Even if we were in "enemy" territory!  Glad there were quite a few Giant fans throughout the stadium.  There is a funny story to tell about us getting into the stadium but it's too long to share here!

Giants meeting together before the game on Saturday against the Angels.

Freddy Sanchez DH's in his return after his injury in the 2011 season.

Homerun!! Aubrey Huff hits one out!

Eli Whiteside behind the plate in this game.
3rd baseman Conor Gillaspie

The Giants lost that game but we were excited to be there, even if new Angel, Albert Pujols didn't play!

Game 2 at Scottsdale Stadium:
Getting into position to start the game.

Pablo (Panda) Sandoval, 3rd base

Ryan Theriot, short stop

Eric Surkamp on the mound

Now this game was exciting!  Buster was starting at catcher, Brian Wilson would be making his first appearance, Jeremy Affeldt and Javier Lopez each pitched an inning! The Panda was playing 3rd, the Baby Giraffe (Belt) was at first and Huff was DH.  Exciting lineup for us to see!!  Plus, one of the Mariners, catcher John Jaso is a local boy.  My brother, Dustin was his high school baseball coach so that made the game fun, too!

Posey warming up the pitcher.

John Jaso catching (Mariners) and Aubrey Huff (dh) batting.

Brian (of Fear the Beard fame) Wilson in to pitch for the first time in pre-season!  Personally, I'd love to see him trim the beard but it's turned into a trademark so I don't see that happening.

Javiar Lopez with his sidearm delivery it's amazing to see him throw it for strikes!

Lefty, Jeremy Affeldt in to pitch.  I am a follower of his blog and will occasionally comment so I was hoping to meet him.  Amy and I did stick around while the rest of the family was trying to catch up with John Jaso but there are so many people around it's pretty crazy.  He was kind enough to stay and sign autographs after the game and I was close enough to say that I enjoyed his blog.  That was one of the highlights of the trip and so was getting Gaylord Perry's autograph! I remember watching him play when I was very young, my dad always had the games on (TV or radio), I grew up on Giants baseball!  Now my kids and grandkids are following the tradition.

Affeldt throwing a strike (of course!)

My nephew Will with a Gaylord Perry autographed baseball.

Hector Sanchez rounding 2nd base after hitting his 2nd homerun of the game!!

Both teams scored a few more runs but the Giants did win!!

Thanks for letting me share a little (or a lot) about my mini vacation, I think next year my husband says he's game and wants to go (Yay!!) He's not much for traveling so I was really happy he said that!  We hope to catch a game or two of the regular season but it's really difficult to get away with the responsibilites of church and family but it's always a fun time when we can get away for a little R & R.

God bless!!!

PS  We did do some shopping and girly stuff, too!
