Here is my card using the Seasonal Wreath Stamp Fall & Winter set from Simply Stamp for our Anything Goes Challenge!

Card Directions:
First, I stamped my wreath, then stamped the Christmas swag using brown ink. (the set comes with an autumn swag, too) I used the Karin Brush Markers to color the poinsettia, leaves and ribbon.
I then used my Koi watercolors to create the background (wet on wet technique).  After it dried, I used the gold Liquid Pearls to embellish the wreath berries.  The Scripture Art was printed on vellum and added to the lower half of the watercolor paper.  The gold striped paper was cut 5.5 x 1" and added to the white card base then I added the focal front panel.  The "Blessings" sentiment is also from the Seasonal Wreath set and was stamped with black ink on white paper and matted on to green cardstock.

Don't forget to leave a comment to win!
There will be two winners on January 5!

Thanks for visiting!
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Word Art Wednesday Challenge - Anything Goes

Hello Delightful Friends! Time for another Word Art Wednesday challenge! Here is my card:
I've kept it pretty simple with water coloring. I've used a couple of greens and a blue water color and used the wet on wet technique. One of the greens was an olive green from the Karin Brush Marker set I have, just did a little scribbling and added water to blend. The blue paint was from my Koi Creative paint set. After it dried, I added Liquid Pearls in gold for a little bling. The stamp set is from Taylored Expressions called Just Vine Background and I stamped using TE Sweet Basil ink. I printed the Scripture art onto white vellum and attached it to the front of the card so that it would be the focal point of my card. Hope you enjoy it and will join us at Word Art Wednesday for the challenge of Anything Goes (family friendly). Our prize this challenge will be from Trinity Stamps ($40 value) Be sure and head over to WAW and see the details, join the fun by adding your art to have a chance to win! Thanks for visiting!! God bless you and God bless America - please pray for us! Photobucket

The Lord is Good! Word Art Wednesday Challenge

Hello Delightful Friends,
Here is my card for this weeks Word Art Wednesday.  Hope all is well with everyone.  This is just a quick post and to encourage you to head over to the WAW challenge blog and play along with our Anything Goes/Family Friendly challenge!!  Lots and lots of creative projects are uploaded there plus a timely devotional that will focus on our Scripture Art today from Lamentations 3:25

I've used the Taylored Expressions Modern Mosiac Layering Stencil with the following TE inks:
Cilantro, Key Lime and Sprinkles.  Isn't that a pretty color combo, I used the TE brushes to apply and the Scripture Art was die cut using the Lawn Fawn Stitched Rectangle. The layering stencils are so easy to use!

Wonderful and encouraging verse today:
The Lord is good unto them that wait for Him, to the soul that seeketh Him.  Lamentations 3:25

Have a great week, seek the Lord and see His goodness !

Refreshed Soul - Work Art Wednesdayd

Hello delightful friends!
Time for our Word Art Wednesday Anything Goes (family friendly) challenge! This week our sponsor is CAS-ual  Fridays! Super cute stamps and dies and lots of other crafty supplies you will find in their online store!!
Here is my card for the challenge:
I started with a white piece of card stock and using the 3/4" stripe stencil set (Taylored Expressions) I made the diagonal stripes using Blue Corn ink (TE) and the TE brushes to apply.
I used the Stitched Circle Die (SSS) to cut out the gingham check pattern paper and the Scripture Art. Flower die is three pieces, center, petals and leaves. I am sorry I'm not sure which company this is from, I left it at work :-{ I popped up the flower with a dimensional square.  Pretty simple design and it was fun using the stencil plus I was trying to keep with a red, white and blue color scheme.
Great Scripture for today, do you know that the Lord desires to satiate and refresh your soul. There is hope!  Get into the Word and let His Words bring about the hope and peace you desire, Jesus is waiting for you to call on Him.

Thanks for visiting!! God bless.

Word Art Wednesday Challenge - Guess who our sponsor is this week?

Hello Delightful Friends!

Time for another fun challenge at Word Art Wednesday!  Our sponsor this week is a favorite company of mine: Lawn Fawn! Be sure and check out their site and visit their blog for fun and instructional videos, too! Our challenge is Anything Goes/Family Friendly and you can share 5 new projects each week the challenge runs (2 weeks).  The more you share with us the more chances of winning a $25 gift certificate to Lawn Fawn!

Here is my card:

The Lawn Fawn products I've used are Under the Stars stamp set; Starry Night and Simple Stitched Hillside dies. I've add a bit of Nuvo Crystal Drops for dimension.  My bunnies were stamped with Taylored Expressions Oreo hybrid ink and colored with pencils and the stars were stamped with a white ink. The Scripture Art is from Galatians 5:13 "For brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another."
Wouldn't it be nice if the protesters/rioters would live by those words. Things are so ugly right now especially in the big cities.  It's so sad.  Many prayers are needed to continue for peace and that people would lovingly serving one another instead of hating and walking in the flesh which is being influenced by the enemy of our soul (the devil). So many are deceived and blinded with hate.

Help us Lord...
Thanks for visiting.

Word Art Wednesday - Happy Father's Day

Hello Delightful Friends!
Hoping you are well and staying safe.  We have our latest Word Art Wednesday Challenge (Anything Goes/Family Friendly) it runs for two weeks.  Be sure and visit the challenge blog and check out the sponsor and prize for a lucky participant.

Here is my card:

This was fun to make.  I wanted to make the background with a summer color theme and not too frilly cause this is for Father's Day.  I've used the Taylored Expressions plaid stencil to create it (I can't tell you the ink colors, I left my mini inks at work!)  I die cut each layer with the Lawn Fawn Stitched rectangle die and the Scripture Art was die cut using the Spellbinder Nestabilities Deckled Rectangle and added them to a white card base. I have to share that the stencil will be a real fun go to item for making backgrounds and the color combinations are endless!  Very fun!  I've popped up the Scripture Art and also doubled the die cutout to make it a bit more substantial by gluing them together.  No bows or buttons for dad, I kept it pretty clean and simple.  The Scripture is from Psalm 112:1-2.

Thanks for visiting! God bless.

Place of Refuge - Word Art Wednesday

Hello Delightful friends,
Time for our Word Art Wednesday Anything Goes/Family Friendly Challenge.  Our lovely sponsor this week is Newton's Nook Blog ($20), they have some really cute stamps!!Shop HERE.  I hope you will play along and share your new projects with us at WAW.  The more times you enter the more opportunities to win! (You can enter 5 times per week and the challenge lasts for 2 weeks!)

Here is my card:

Scripture Art is Proverbs 14:26 "In the fear of the Lord is strong confidence and his children shall have a place of refuge."  In these uncertain times, one thing is certain and that is my strong confidence in the Lord's place of refuge. I am safe in His hands.  My heart is breaking over this last week.  From the disturbing and disgusting act that led to the death of George Floyd and now the equally disgusting  rioting and anarchist activities.  There is one word for it and it is e-v-i-l. The Lord spoke to my heart this evening while I was at our prayer meeting and that the need was repentance and revival.  Just as the word repentance comes first in the dictionary, it's got to come first in people's hearts for revival to come.  We must have repentant hearts for there to be change and healing.  Repentance is having a change of mind and heart, from going your own way to going God's way.  He's given us the way to follow, the words to obey, now it's time to listen and really hear and obey, we must be accountable for our actions toward God and our brothers and sisters.
"We know we have passed from death to life, because we love the brethren. He who does not love his brother abides in death. Whoever hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him.  1 John 3:14-15

Card details:
Stamps: Taylored Expressions - Treetops background
Die: Botanical Spring, Amy Design and  Sizzix Die set (frames out sentiment)
Grass border die - Taylored Expressions
Copic Markers to color (assortment)
Distress Ink: Tumbled Glass (sky)
Liquid Pearls - gold

Thanks for visiting!

Call Unto Me - Word Art Wednesday Challenge

Hello Delightful Friends!

Hope this finds you feeling well and in good health!  Still on the Stay in Place mandate, little openings here and there for the small businesses, which I think is giving people a little hope that there will be an end to this soon.  Our county statistics were shared yesterday: 135,558 population,  86 cases, 59 recovered, 25 active and 2 deaths (one was a 97 year old not sure of the age of the other person but they were elderly).  We need to pray for those who are so vulnerable, not just the elderly but those suffering from depression, too.

I hope that you are digging into God's Word for hope and inspiration to get through these tough times.  The Scripture Art on my card is certainly a good one to cling to.  If you would like this digital art go to Word Art Wednesday this week and grab it, it's free.  The verse is this weeks Scripture art that the design team is using and it's perfect for the times we are living.  We need the Lord to answer and show us great and mighty things! We have to humble ourselves and call to Him.  He has the answers.

Art Glitter is our sponsor this week ($50) will be the prize for one blessed winner!  But you have to play to be able to have a chance of winning.  You can share your new crafty projects (up to 5 a week) at Word Art Wednesdays Anything Goes - Family Friendly Challenge. This is a two week challenge.

I've used the Doodle Flowers Background stamp by Taylored Expressions, colored with Karin Brushmarkers and a waterbrush to blend. The die is a scalloped oval Nestabilities die from Spellbinders, popped up with dimensional adhesive squares. I've matted the watercolor paper with a dark blue card stock.

Thanks for visiting! God bless.

Word Art Wednesday - Just a Note

Hello Delightful Friends,

It's time for another Word Art Wednesday challenge with our wonderful sponsor the Stamp Simply Ribbon Store providing the prize for this weeks Anything Goes/Family Friendly challenge.  Thank you Sharon Johnson!! We appreciate your generosity. Remember to visit our challenge blog and join the fun and be sure and check out the Stamp Simply Ribbon Store!

Here is my card:

I've used the Stamp Simply stamp set called Farmhouse Signage (animal silhouettes and arrow - that's 4 separate stamps that I've stacked with no masking and the "Just a Note"sentiment!)
I've used 4 different dies from 3 different companies: Stitched Mountain borders, Stitched Hillside from Lawn Fawn; Stitched Circle from Simon Says stamp!; the tiny flowers are a flower border die from Taylored Expressions which comes in a set of 4(retired), I cut the border 3 times in different colors and added Nuvo Jewel Drops in the center. Archival Jet Black Ink was used to stamp the images and the Just a Note.  Card stock is Bazzill.

The Scripture art is from Hebrews 1:10 which is stating that Lord Jesus is Creator.  Also in this portion of the book of Hebrews the writer uses Old Testament verses to prove the superiority of Jesus over the angels, the writer actually uses 7 different verses to convince the Jewish believers of this fact and that the Son of God is described with attributes and items that belong only to God, proving that He is God in the flesh.  "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God and the Word was God." John 1:1 Jesus Christ has always existed and will exist eternally                           He is the living Word!

Thanks for visiting!  Stay healthy and God bless.

Hello Sweet Friend - Word Art Wednesday

Hello Delightful Friends!

Here we are already in April and most of our communities are under the stay home - stay safe order.  Even though this is a difficult time it is also a great opportunity to be praying for our nation and president, our neighbors and family and drawing close to the Lord.  I hope revival and a spiritual renewal will come out of this time of testing. It's almost Resurrection Sunday and although this will be a strange way to celebrate it, I hope we will use it as an opportunity to be reaching out to our unsaved friends and families through social media, emails and telephoning.  Be bold and be brave, share about the wonderful work and good news of our Savior Jesus Christ! He is Risen!

Here is my card for the Word Art Wednesday Anything Goes (Family Friendly) Challenge!  Our sponsor this week is the wonderful Gina K Designs!! Be sure and check out the blog and store.  So much inspiration!  Thank you Gina K.!

I've used the Friendship Blooms stamp set that was a collaboration with Gina K & Hero Arts for their anniversary.  I love the large blossom and all the beautiful sentiments included in this large stamp set. I've water colored the image with Prima watercolors (Classic and Decadent Pies) and outlined with Zig clean color brushes.  The Word Art (digital) is from 1 Corinthians 6:14. "And God hath both raised up the Lord and will also raise up us by His own power." Love this wonderful promise from God our Father!

Thanks so much for visiting!  May your day be filled with all the blessings that come from trusting the Lord Jesus Christ.

He Will Bless - Word Art Wednesday Challenge

Hello Delightful friends!

So how is everyone out there in blogland?  Hope this week finds you healthy and in a good place both physically and spiritually.
Well, it's time for this weeks Word Art Wednesday challenge (Anything Goes - Family Friendly) and if you are feeling a little stir crazy due to the "stay at home" orders due to the Corona Virus this challenge may have come at an ideal time.  Of course it's always a great time to get crafty! Little tip or suggestion, pray while you're making your project to share.  We need prayer warriors to lift up the nations that are devastated by this virus and all those who are being affected. (that's quite a prayer list to keep you busy for a while.)

My card today features the Avery Elle Reversed Pink Rectangle Die and the lovely 6x6 paper by Hackney & Co called Wildflower Meadow. This paper pack is so pretty and some of the papers are textured and some are even pearlescent!  Gorgeous!  I've added a couple other dies to this to embellish, the leafy die from Taylored Expressions and the Butterfly die from Spellbinders.  The leaf spray is cut out of black card stock, the butterfly was cut from white card stock and then I "smooshed" ink on my craft sheet and then moved my butterfly through it without watering it down.  The inks I've used are Distress ink Peacock feathers and Versa Magic chalk ink Key Lime by Tsukineko.  After the ink dried I added Versamark ink to the butterfly and then added clear embossing powder and heat set it.  My lovely background art was created by my 4 year old nephew Cylas who created this lovely piece at the age of 2!
Special thanks to our sponsor this week at Word Art Wednesday which is Heffy Doodle!!  Check out their cute stamp sets and dies!

Our featured Scripture is Psalm 115:13
"He will bless those who fear the LORD, both small and great."

Doesn't really matter your "station" in life, God is not a respecter of persons He will bless the rich and poor, the peasant and prince, the layperson and pastor. What God looks at is the heart of each individual, does that man or woman fear Him? Does that person recognize who He is? A word of wisdom from the Scriptures "Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth" (2 Tim 2:15) Be faithful to the Lord, obey His word and know that the Lord keeps His promises. He will bless those who fear Him.

Thanks for visiting and God bless!

Spring Globe Scene - Word Art Wednesday

Hello Delightful friends!

I have a fun card to share for our Word Art Wednesday Challenge which features the Snow Globe from DRS Designs, a Christmas stamp that I've changed into a Spring Globe!  It took very little masking and I kept it pretty simple but just think of the possibilities with this stamp! I love versatility.
Thank you DRS Designs for sponsoring the prize for this weeks challenge at Word Art Wednesday!! Please play along with us, it's Anything Goes - Family Friendly challenge.

I've stamped on 100# Bristol Vellum paper and then watercolored the images with Zig Clean Color Brushes.  I used very little water to blend.  The cute images are from a Lawn Fawn Butterfly Kisses set. I masked using post-it notes.  I popped up the globe on the designer paper which was a scrap from Simple Stories Oh Happy Day 12x12 paper.

inside of card:

The inside was colored with pencils and I cut out the Scripture art with a circle die and using my trimmer I made a straight cut at the bottom of the circle to match up with the globe.  Thankfully I sized my Scripture art to fit perfectly!! I totally guessed!

The Scripture this week is Ephesians 3:20 "Now to Him that is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, vs 21 to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever, Amen
Oh to know and understand the love that Christ Jesus has for us!  It passes all knowledge and then to be able to realize He alone is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or even think and then work in us to bring Him glory.  It truly is mind blowing isn't it?!  If we know Him and love Him we want to please Him by living an obedient and sanctified life.  Seek Him and dig into His Word and be filled with His Spirit. You will experience the joy of the Lord.

Have an incredible week, thanks for visiting.

Word Art Wednesday - Psalm 121:5

Hello Delightful Friends!
Are you feeling it?  Spring.... maybe... at least today.  I have to laugh because I know very well here in northern California we get a little sneak peek of Spring and then it's gone again for a few weeks.  It's as if God is saying, "Winter is almost over, hang in there, here is a little preview of Spring but don't put away your winter clothes!"  Spring is definitely not a time to put away the winter clothes that is for sure, the wind can be unbearably cold her in the damp coastal area that we live in.  But it is so nice to see the trees budding and the sun shining even if it's from the inside looking out! If I step outside reality hits me right in the bare face... brrrr!

Well it's time for another card for our Word Art Wednesday challenge (Anything Goes, Family Friendly).  Our sponsor this week is The Project Bin a fun place to shop online for clear stamps with snappy sentiments! Their blog has a great page of tutorials so be sure and check it out!!!

Isn't this adorable bee paper? (Photo Play Tulla and Norbert line - Honey Bee)
I've used the Polka in the Meadow line (Lawn Fawn) to frame out the cute Honey Bee paper, and a white A2 card base.  The little bee is from the Photo Play stamp set from that same line which I stamped and fussy cut after coloring with a yellow and gray pencil.  The Scripture Art was matted with black card stock.

The Scripture this week is from Psalm 121 verse 5 and is from one of the Songs of Ascent. It is one of the songs sung by the Jewish pilgrims on their way to Jerusalem to worship.  This particular verse talks about how the Lord will keep you, I'm so glad I don't have to "keep" myself, the Lord is my protector, He surrounds me and watches over me.  He is the One who is vigilant, so much more than I am capable of. Plus He surrounds me with favor, He defends me as I trust and rejoice in Him.
2 Timothy 1:12..."for I know whom I have believed and am persuaded that He is able to keep what I have committed to Him until that Day."  I am so glad He is my Keeper!

Thanks for visiting and don't forget to play along with us at the Word Art Wednesday Challenge blog!

As it is written - Word Art Wednesday Challenge

Hello Delightful friends!

Here is my card for this weeks Word Art Wednesday Anything Goes/Family friendly Challenge #426 & 427! Our fabulous sponsor Seth Apter Designs is donating 2 $25 gift certificates that means 2 winners!  Be sure and check out this talented mixed media artist's blog HERE.

As usual I keep my cards pretty CAS.  This year I've been trying really hard to use the larger scraps of designer paper that I have on hand and this card is no exception.  I wish I could tell you what company the paper is from but... they are from my scraps. I did a couple of angle cuts to design this one and then added 3 cute little hearts since it's Valentine's Day this week and the word heart and love are in the Scripture Art.
Our verse this week is from 1 Corinthians 2:9 and isn't it the truth!  We just can't really comprehend what God has prepared for us, but I know it's wonderful!  Plus He has given us just a little taste of His goodness with the "down payment" of the Holy Spirit.  Oh taste and see that the Lord He is good!!

Well have a great week, thanks for visiting and may God bless you richly!

His Thoughts Towards Us - Word Art Wednesday

Hello Delightful friends!
Hope your week is going well, sorry I'm a little late in getting this card posted.  I meant to have it all ready to go and I must confess, I was just too tired last night to turn on my computer!
Between working all day, then our grandson's basketball game, then church prayer meeting I was ready for bed.  I've never been so happy that we had leftovers and I didn't have to cook!  I'm sure you are just as busy so I thank you for stopping by and checking out my card for Word Art Wednesday.  Our sponsor this week is The Stamps For Life!  They have an awesome online store with not only stamps but dies and all sorts of stamping supplies!  Be sure and check it out.  One lucky person will win a $25 voucher to the store so please play along at Word Art Wednesdays Anything Goes, Family Friendly challenge blog. Don't forget you can share 5 new projects each week for a chance to win!

Here is my card for the challenge:

I've used all scraps (except the card base) for this card.  I had a couple of larger pieces that I've used as the background and to mat the pretty floral pattern paper.  I've used a scrap of matching teal card stock and cut it to 4" x 1/4" I've also cut the larger floral piece to make two pieces so that the green card stock behind it shows which gives the illusion of 4 separate pieces but in reality the teal card stock breaks up the smaller floral piece so that it looks like two pieces.  Hope that makes sense, I suppose if you saw the card in person it would!  The ribbon is white seam binding and is also a leftover piece that I had used Distress Inks to dye it, it matched perfectly.
The Scripture Art was printed on white Neenah card stock and I die cut it using the Avery Elle Reversed Pink die. I cut it out twice in white one with Scripture and one without so that I could use the "frame" cut out twice to give it a bit of dimension by layering them together. Easy peasy!  I always try to keep the Scripture Art the main focus of my card.

The Scripture is from Psalm 40:5
Many, O LORD my God, are Your wonderful works which You have done;
And Your thoughts toward us cannot be recounted to You in order;
If I would declare and speak of them,
They are more than can be numbered.

Such a true verse written by King David, God is so good to us in so many ways that it's impossible to keep them in order.  Even if we can't keep them in order, we should always be ready to give an account for the hope that we have in our Lord Jesus Christ.  We may be the only reflection of Jesus that a person may encounter and we need to make sure we shine brightly for Him.  His thoughts towards us are for good the Word says please remember that, especially when going through the difficult times of life (which there will be, no one is immune.) But learn to be thankful and allow the Holy Spirit to work in us and through us and most importantly rejoice in the Lord who will deliver us! God is faithful.

Have a blessed day!

So Very Blessed - Word Art Wednesday Challenge

Hello Delightful Friends!
Hope you are settling into the new year!  I love the Scripture Art this week, it has such a timely message for all of us.  I had to add the bottom sentiment on the card, not only because Neat and Tangled is our sponsor this week but because it's the outcome of the waiting and seeking the Lord! None of us like to "wait" whether it's in a line at the store or for a package to arrive in the mail (especially if it's crafty fun stuff, right?!), or waiting for a prayer to be answered.  But it's important to learn to settle our minds and get them fixed on God's Word as we wait.  We are "so very blessed" when we can learn that lesson, we see that the Lord is so very good to us.

Here is this weeks card for the Word Art Wednesday Challenge (Family Friendly - Anything Goes) as I mentioned Neat and Tangled is our sponsor this week!! Yay, such a fun stamp company.  They have a big end of year Retirement Sale going on right now so be sure and check it out!!  Then go to their blog and see all the fun crafty inspiration.  Hope you'll join us at WAW and don't forget to share with us a project for a chance to win.  You can share 5 new projects a week (the challenge is for 2 weeks).

Neat and Tangled Gardenia Blooms Journaling stamp set (sentiment - retired)
Lawn Fawn Spring Fling 6x6 paper
Cottage Cutz Nested Stitched Scallop Circle set (to make the pink frame)
paper flowers with jewels were in my stash of goodies
Neenah bright white card stock for the base
Pink card stock is a scrap from an 8x8 pad of pastel c/s from DCWV

Well that's it for me today. Head over to the Word Art Wednesday blog and check out the other designer's work and if you like the Scripture art you can get it and upload it for free!

Have a blessed week! Thanks for visiting.

Stamp Simply Ribbon Store - Word Art Wednesday

Happy New Year!

Wow, starting a new decade!  I pray that you will prosper as your soul prospers in 2020.

Thank you Sharon Johnson!  Don't forget our challenge runs 2 weeks and you can share your crafty inspiration with us for two weeks!
Here is my card for this weeks Anything Goes - Family Friendly challenge:

I've used the Farmhouse Signage stamp set and the Cup of Java (Coffee) die. Love the fun stamps which I've used to make the background.  It's a little busy in the photo but not so much in person.  The designer paper is from Echo Park 6x6 pad called Down on the Farm - I die cut the border using an Avery Elle die called Reversed Pink Die.  Ink used is from Archival black and vermillion.
The Scripture Art is from Psalm 16:8.
Be sure and check out the Word Art Wednesday Blog for  a whole lot of inspiration!

Again Happy New Year and God bless!
