Word Art Wednesday Challenge - Anything Goes - Family Friendly

Hello Delightful Friends!

We are finally experiencing some winter weather now that softball practice is upon us, of course! My poor granddaughters, it is frigid outside.  The snow level is right around 1000' and is about 9 miles up the road from us.  Between the wind off the ocean and the very cold air from the mountains, sure makes it for some miserable weather to be outside in between showers!  Last night we had a terrific thunder and lightning storm. At first, I thought it was an earthquake shaking the house.  It is good weather for staying in and doing some crafting, unfortunately I had to go to work, but I did squeeze in a little cardmaking last night for the challenge.
Word Art Wednesday challenge is for two weeks, and it's Anything Goes-Family Friendly!
Our sponsor for this challenge is Not Too Shabby ($25).  Check out their blog and challenge HERE!

Here is my card for this week's challenge:
Lots of color and layers on this one.  It was pretty quick once I decided what stencil and colors I wanted to use. The Scripture Art was perfect for the inside sentiment.

Here are the ingredients (all from Taylored Expressions)
Paper: Honeydew Melon, Blueberry, Sugar Cube
Inks: Honeydew Melon, Banana Cream Pie, Dijon, Tiki Mule, Sour Gummy, Blueberry.
Stencil: Whimsical Wildflowers Layering Stencil
Stamps: Fineline Script background stamp; Together in Type Stamp and Die set
Die: All Planned out 4 set (scallop); A2 Postage Stamp Stacklet Die

Techniques:
Tone on Tone stamping (Honeydew melon paper & ink)
Stenciling with layers using stencil brushes
Using dies to cut sentiment, frame and A2 Layer

Thanks for visiting!  Don't forget to visit us at Word Art Wednesday to play along with the challenge for a chance to win the sponsor's prize!  Be sure and check the Not 2 Shabby blog for some great crafty color inspiration!

Blessings!
Natalie

Word Art Wednesday - Christmas Blog Hop!

Hello Delightful Friends!!
It's time for our annual Christmas Blog Hop, hope you're ready for some inspiration & prizes!  Be sure to start at the Word Art Wednesday Blog and check out all the designers. Our sponsor this hop is Unity Stamps, they are offering 2 - $25 prizes!  Two prizes at the challenge blog and then 1 or more prize at each stop!  Merry Christmas!!  The blog list is at the end of my blog but you should have just left Christine Miller's blog to get here.
In order to qualify for a prize you need to leave a comment at each stop and since I'm offering 2 extra prizes, I need not only a comment, but I'd love to know if you've learned a new technique this year or do you have a favorite "go to" technique.  My favorite this year has been the layering stencils.  My cards show 2 cards that have multiple layers and one with only 2 layers. I'll share a little under each photo.

Prize #1 from the WORD ART WEDNESDAY BLOG

Prizes 2 & 3 are the prizes I am personally offering for USA participants only:

#2

#3

This stencil is called Pine Branch Layering Stencil set (2 stencils) Creative Worship Stamps designed by Korin Sutherland; I added extra needles by shifting the stencil just a tiny bit and using a lighter hand when I used the detail brush.
Ink: Cilantro, Toffee, Chocolate Truffle (TE)
Dies: Easy Edgers (TE)
Sentiment: Sundry Sentiments - holiday with coordinating die.
Paper: Sugar Cube, Green Tea, Toffee (base), Christmas Express 6x6 by Echo Park
Brushes, Detail brushes (TE), Celebrate it Jute rope for the bow

These two cards use the stencil called Quilt Squares by Taylored Expressions.
It has 4 layering stencils which are about 8 x 11 in size.  This set makes 6 cards, I've used the sentiment set called Sew Many Stitches, the other four cards I used Christmas sentiments, unfortunately I didn't take pictures before sending them off in the mail. The above card I used Talking in Circles Piercing Plate on the Jujube card stock. The frame is a die called Blanket Stitched Rectangle (PinkFresh).
Inks used: Jujube, Mulled Wine, Green Tea, Winter Green.
Micron Pen to faux stitch the quilt designs.
The card below, I've used the Cross-Stitched embossing folder on the Green Tea cardstock. I've added a band across the bottom quarter of the card, without any embossing but I've done the faux stitching for a little interest.
All supplies are from Taylored Expressions unless noted.
