Word Art Wednesday - Be of Good Cheer

Welcome Delightful Friends!

Hope you're getting ready to play along with Word Art WednesdayStamp Simply is our sponsor for our challenge so be sure and check out the Stamp Simply store.  The store is filled with terrific inspiration and perhaps you will be a winner of the challenge prize, but you've got to play along to have a chance to win the gift certificate. The Stamp Simply brand of stamps and dies are so encouraging, lots of Scripture stamps and fun images.
The challenge is Anything Goes - Family Friendly and you can upload 5 new projects a week (the challenge is for 2 weeks)  I've used our Scripture Art from John 16:33, which is a perfect verse right now in such troubled times!
The books and key are a stamp & die set from Stamp Simply and is called A Man of Knowledge.  I colored the books using Prismacolor pencils and blended with mineral spirits, it's been a while since I've pulled out my pencils, I had fun making the books look a bit worn and antiqued.
The key is part of the die set and it includes some fun gears too. The stamp set has some great sentiments and Scripture verses. This definitely favors the masculine side  but I'm looking forward to changing it up and perhaps adding some titles to the spines, I used to be a librarian, so I'm getting all sorts of ideas running through my head and am looking forward to playing with the set.

Thanks for visiting don't forget to play along at Word Art Wednesday and please visit our sponsor Stamp Simply.
Praying for our nation and for the peace of Israel.  Come Lord Jesus, come!

Blessings,
Natalie  💖

CAS Wreath Card

Hello Delightful Friends!

Here is a CAS card I made featuring a new stamp set we are carrying at Scrapper's Edge a locally owned craft store in Eureka, Calif. It's from American Crafts the Kelly Creates Line, the stamp is called Floral Wreaths.  I'm also sharing a quick and easy tutorial!  This stamp set is perfect for CAS gift card sets with different sentiments. I hope to do a beginning stamp class soon at Scrapper's Edge.

Step 1:  Cut Desert Storm 80# card stock 4" x 5.25"
Step 2: Stamp wreath using black Archival ink.  I've position the paper in the MISTI to do this.
Step 3: Color the flower petals using a Prismacolor Premier Pencil (PC938)
Step 4:  Stamp Sentiment using the MISTI, (I've used the Avery Elle Oh Happy Day set, not shown in supply photo) with black Archival Ink. Keep the paper in place and stamp again with Versamark and heat emboss with clear embossing powder, don't forget to prep your paper with anti static powder (EKSuccess)
Step 5: With white pencil, outline the sentiment on the thick edge of the letter to highlight.
Step 6: Adhere the card stock to the white card base.
Step 7: Add Liquid Pearls (buttercup) to the center of each flower.  Set aside to dry.  Easy Peasy!

Here are my supplies:

Thanks for visiting!!

Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.  1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

Spring Friends - Word Art Wednesday #328 and #329

Hello Delightful Friends and Family!
I have a card to share today featuring this cute Spring Friends digital image from Bugaboo Stamps! Bugaboo Stamps is one of our sponsor for Word Art Wednesday this week. Our second sponsor is The Project Bin Thanks to our sponsors for providing fun prizes for our challenge! You can share 5 projects each week for our Anything Goes - Family Friendly challenge!

I thought this was such a cute image for spring time. I've colored it with Prismacolor Pencils on Neenah bright white card stock. I got brave after coloring and took a pencil and began to make "fur texture" on the bunny. I saw a tutorial video on Sandy Allnock's blog and have been itching to try it! I then fussy cut it and adhered it to the card front.  The Scripture Art I popped up with dimensional tape. I die cut the verse using an older Hero Arts Die (Sweet Day Stamp & Die set), it was the perfect size. I used a piece of 6"x 6" cut to 4" x 5.25" from the Penny Black Beau Jardin Designer paper pad for the front of the card. The soft gray background and multi-colored polka dots were a perfect match for some of the colors I used on the image. The hot pink card stock was in my stash and I cut a piece 4.25" x 5.5" and then 2 strips .25" x 5.25" and measured .25" from the edge of the designer paper.

Here is our Scripture Art below that you are more than welcome to use (isn't this a great verse!) so many key words that would make a great word study. We have so many wonderful study tools to be able to really examine the Scriptures and meditate on them.  Too many times we want to take the yoke Jesus has for us but then we try to refashion it to "fit" us better.  What a mess that can make! He wants us to find our rest in Him, when we begin to know Him and get an understanding of His love for us and His desire for us to follow Him wholeheartedly we truly can find the rest He has provided for us.  There is so much in this verse, I challenge you to do a word study and get to know our Savior better.  Grow in your knowledge and as you grow in Jesus you will experience His Presence which helps each of us to walk in the Spirit and you will find such delight as you learn to trust and obey God's Word. To God be the all the glory!
Thanks for visiting and have a blessed week and a very blessed Resurrection Sunday!

Love Demonstrated - Word Art Wednesday

Hello Delightful Friends and Family!
Hard to believe that February is almost behind us!  Wasn't it just Christmas?  Oh my, I find myself counting the days to Spring, perhaps that is why time is going so fast! 😜 I think I need to just enjoy the moment! Speaking of enjoying the moment, it's time to share a card for Word Art Wednesday
I had fun with this digital image (Simple Wisdom) from designer/owner Gracie Chavez of Graciellie Designs who happens to be our sponsor this challenge.  Be sure and check out here Etsy store HERE and Gracie Chavez's blog that has really good tutorials and lots of fun inspiration!

I've colored this image from Simple Wisdom with Prismacolor pencils. The pattern paper is from the 6x6 pad Beau Jardin (Penny Black) cut 4 x 5.25".  I've used a white card base (A2) and added a gray card stock layer.  The Scripture Art was printed on Neenah bright white 80# card stock and cut out using a Lawn Fawn die.  I fussy cut the image and popped it up using dimensional dots.

The Scripture today is from Romans 5:8 and is one of my favorite scriptures. I think I like the NKJV a little better, it says "But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us." It's sometimes hard to understand how much the Father loves us but here in this verse it says He demonstrates His own love toward us...  The cross is the ultimate demonstration of God's love for us, let that sink in!  We are so undeserving of His love but it was God's way to show us His love and goodness toward us. We are saved from His wrath and get to experience grace, undeserved favor! Read all of chapter 5 of Romans, it will be such an encouragement to you.

Thanks so much for visiting and be blessed!

Greater is He - Word Art Wednesday

Hello Delightful friends and family!
I pulled out my Prismacolor Pencils and attempted to color this adorable image from All Dressed Up.  I'm still learning the art of color pencils so don't judge me too harshly (lol) I didn't have the proper colors for the flesh tones so I had to "wing it" with a couple of colors I had in my stash.  This card today is for the challenge at Word Art Wednesday - it's a family friendly anything goes challenge (#319 & #320).  Don't forget to link up your projects - there are prizes to be won!  This weeks sponsors are the Project Bin ($15) and Imagine That (digital prize). Be sure to check out their blog and shops for crafty inspiration!  The more times you enter (up to 5) the better your changes are to win prize!  We had over 300 entries last challenge!!

Here is a little info on the card.  The digi image is from All Dressed Up.  I've colored it with Prisma pencils, then diecut it out using a Cottage Cutz Square cross stitched die. I then diecut a stitched circle in green and put it to the side of the image for a little interest and added 3 watercolored butterflies that I had punched out using a Marvy Uchida small butterfly punch that I've had for ages! I embellished them with Liquid Pearls. The pattern paper is from Simple Stories called DIY. I then mat the Scripture art in green card stock and then assembled the card layers onto an A2 white card stock base.

You can use this Word Art if you'd like! Each challenge has a new Scripture.

Our verse today gives us great encouragement! It reminds us that we are born of God, taught of God and anointed of God through His Holy Spirit which makes us overcomers in this world.  We have so many worldly things coming against us to overthrow our faith but knowing that Christ in us is greater, should give us confidence to endure.  Of course it helps to read the full chapter of John 4 or better yet the whole letter to get a greater understanding of what is being taught. At that time this letter was being written to help believers recognize a false teaching.(ironic how this is so relevant even today!)
I find myself quoting this very Scripture when going through a trial or any difficulty and it brings peace and an assurance in God that is unshakable. I would like to encourage you to read the Book of 1 John, memorize Scripture and let the living Word teach and speak to your heart, it will give you hope!

Thanks so much for visiting today.  Have a great week.
