Have a Heart with Simon Says Stamps and 30 Day Color Challenge

Hello Delightful friends and family!
I've been a coloring fool the last three days! Yay! Love it!  Tonight I finished a Valentine card for my dear hubby.  A week ahead of time, I can't believe it!  I didn't get too fancy with it but it was a lot of fun designing.
Here is my card:

I've watercolored this with an inexpensive watercolor set (Simply Art watercolor cakes) and the paper is Canson 140lb cold press. The hearts were created by using a heart die from the Roses For You set (Simon Says Stamp). I traced them lightly with a pencil then added water to the inside of the heart before dropping in the paint. I used two different colors of deep pink.  After it dried I stamped the coordinating heart stamp and the dots from the same set (Simon Says Stamp) and add the stitched lines which were from the WPlus9 Doodlebuds set.  All were stamped with Archival black ink. On the vellum, I've added the sentiment and heart they are from the same Simon Says Stamp set.  I popped up the inside heart with dimensional adhesive. I added Wink of Stella in clear to the sentiment and black dot but the photo doesn't pick up the glimmer.

Simon Says Stamp - You Have My Heart - DieCember Celebration!

Hello Delightful Friends and Family,
This is my second attempt to write this post.  It just disappeared on me earlier, not sure what I did but boy is that frustrating! I received happy mail this week from Simon Says Stamp so I was just pleased as punch because it was unexpected! Love it! So, I had to make a card, of course.  Perfect for this months DieCember Die Crazy challenge.  The die I've used from the new release You Have My Heart is called Love Bouquet.  Be sure and check out Simon Says Stamp new release - it's pretty awesome!

Here is my card:

I've also used the "Sending" die and the "Big Hugs" die (Hugs only on this card) both from Simon Says Stamp and then the tiny hearts are from a die set from Lawn Fawn called Journaling.
I've die cut the Love bouquet twice, once in black and once in bright pink (bubblegum) and then with the Uni-Ball Signo white pen drew in the stitch lines.  I've added the black die cuts into the leaves that were open as well as a few background areas.    No stamping at all on this card! The designer paper is from Simple Stories.  I haven't played in a challenge is so long other than Word Art Wednesday where I'm on the DT, so this was a lot of fun!

Thanks so much for visiting!

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Anything Goes!

Hey there Delightful friends and family!
Simon Says Stamp's Challenge this week is Anything Goes! They are featuring Lawn Fawn this week and I'm pleased as punch because I have a few of their super cute stamps.
Here is my "card" it's actually a Gift Card Holder that I made for a class I'm doing in December at Scrapper's Edge in Eureka. These cute images in this stamp set are the perfect size for these holders.

I've colored with Copics, the paper is MME Christmas Market Street, I've added Liquid Pearls Opal white to the hat.  Dies used are Spellbinders Scallop circle and LaLa Land Stitched Circle. The base is Neenah white card stock.

Well that's it for me today!  Thanks for visiting.

Colorful Dino-mite!

Hey there Delightful friends and family!
I have a card to share real quick because I'm heading to bed.  Just finished the blog hop at Simon Says Stamp for STAMPtember and what a great group of talented designers sharing their creations!
I will be entering this card in the Simon Wednesday Challenge, the theme is "Make it Colorful" this card is definitely colorful and it's already been sent off to my great nephew for his 4-1/2 birthday.  His birthday is Christmas so his momma  and daddy make sure he gets his own day and so they celebrate it half way thru the year.  Needless to say I'm just a tad bit late but I'm sure I'm forgiven!
I will also be sharing this at the Seize the Birthday Challenge Blog (the topping is Weather but I'm going to pass on that part of the challenge this time)

La La Land Crafts: Stitched Circle Die

Distress Inked Himalayan Poppy - 30 Day color challenge

Hello Delightful Friends and Family!
So glad you came by today!  Here is another card I've made using the Himalayan Poppy stamp.  This time I've used Distress Inks and a Ranger waterbrush to color.  I've kept it sentiment free so that I can add it later depending on the occasion.  I've used some of my hoarded Stella Rose (MME) paper.  I've embossed with Versamark Ink and Ranger White embossing powder (just like the last poppy I colored).  I've used the Ranger watercolor paper (I LOVE IT) and the Ranger Distress Inks are Mermaid Lagoon, Peeled Paint, Pine Needles (very sparingly to add shadows), and Mustard Seed.

Thanks so much for visiting!
I will be sharing this card at Simon Says Wednesday Challenge (Use Your Favorite Technique and/or Product. I will also link up at the 30 Day Coloring challenge blog.

Great Job!

Hello Delightful Friends and Family!

It's a beautiful day in our neck of the woods!  The sun is streaming in through the windows, oh wait, through dirty windows, oh yuck!  I think that means not only is spring here but spring cleaning, too!  I did find a moment last night to color (yay!) and make a card.  I will be sharing this at Simon Says Stamps(April Showers bring Spring Flowers) and Word Art Wednesday #178 Anything Goes.

Here is my colorful encouragement card:

I was inspired by the way the Designer (Nancy Penir) offset her flower to the side of her tag on her card.  But I was too late to play!

I've colored with Copic Markers and the tag is from the Tim Holtz Alterations Tag Collection Die set, the image is from Sizzix Stephanie Ackerman  Flowers #5 stamp and die set and the sentiment is from Paper Smooches - Good Gab.  The embossing folder is also a Stephanie Ackerman Sizzix product called Borders and Flowers. I've stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and Archival Jet Black ink (sentiment)

Thanks so much for visiting!  Have a blessed day.

And all the peoples see His glory.  Psalm 97:6

My First Shaker Card

Hello Delightful Friends and Family!

Here is my first shaker card evah! :-)
I really wanted to make one, they are everywhere online and so doggone cute!  I'm going to be teaching one in class in February (not the one here) and hope everyone will have fun with it.  I'll post that one later.  But anyway here is my Valentine shaker card, I thought it turned out well for my first attempt.  The Love die is from Avery Elle isn't it pretty!  I ran it through the Cuttlebug to emboss the dots and then added a bit of Distress Ink (worn lipstick) around the edges.

I'll be entering this card at
Word Art Wednesday #167 (anything goes)

Thanks so much for visiting!

It's a Guy Thing

Hello Delightful Friends and Family!
Happy weekend to you all!  Here is a card I made using Avery Elle Surf's Up stamp set and Kaiser Craft Blue Bay Designer paper.  I needed a simple masculine birthday card for a class and so here we are...

I've used Ranger's Antique Linen Distress Ink around the pattern paper and sentiment. I've stamped with Archival Jet Black ink and fussy cut the VW van (we used to have a VW van when I was in grade school!).  The embossing folder is from Provocraft.
I will enter this card in the following challenges:
Simon Stays Wednesday Challenge (It's a Guy Thing)
Word Art Wednesday (Anything Goes)
Cardz 4 Guyz (Birthday Card)
Seize the Birthday (Anything Goes birthday)

I will be working tomorrow at the lss for a co-worker who is sick so I'd best get busy around here and get my Saturday stuff done this evening.  Thanks for looking!!

Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied.  Matthew 5:6

My Wednesday morning ladies Bible study started a new study called "Sermon on the Mount" by Jen Wilkin.  Just after one week I am enjoying and challenged by it. We started on the Beatitudes this week and it's such a blessing to dig deeper into God's Word!

Christmas Tags 2013 Day 7 - Simon says... Let it Snow!

Hello Delightful Friends and Family!
Thanks for visiting I hope you are enjoying my collection of Christmas tags.

This is one of my favorites and it was so EASY!
I stamped the snowflakes with Versamark and used clear embossing powder. Then using a Tim Holtz ink distressing tool I applied the ink.  First I applied Distress Ink Weathered Wood but it just wasn't exactly what I was wanting so I applied Faded Jeans over it and voila! Perfect color.  I wiped the embossed snowflakes to clear off the excess ink and then sprayed Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist (Marshmello).  I dyed the seam binding with the Faded Jeans ink and Glimmer Mist, dried it with my heat tool and that was it!  The sentiment is from Taylored Expressions and the snowflake is a wood mounted stamp from Inkadinkado.

I will be entering this tag in the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Let it Snow!

Thanks again for visiting and sharing your delightful comments!

Through the LORD's mercies we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness.  Lamentations 3:22-23
