Word Art Wednesday Challenge - Words of Praise

Hello Delightful Friends!

My card is filled with die cut flowers surrounding the Scripture that was printed on Vellum.

The pattern paper is from Doodlebug Design Inc. a 6x8 double sided cardstock paper pad which is called Butterfly Kisses. The background paper is Pineapple (Taylored Expressions), I've used many different floral dies (all from TE). The pattern paper was cut out using All Planned Out (TE)

The mini bow die is also from (TE) The Stacklet Capsule Die Set cut out the vellum.

It's a simple card, no stamping but lots of die cutting and I used up a lot of scrap card stock.

Word Art Wednesday - Thank You!

Hello Delightful Friends and Happy New Year!

We will be announcing the winners of the blog hop very soon!  Hope everyone had a blessed Christmas and New Years.  It sure was a busy time but I was grateful to have a few days of vacation left before the new year began.

Here's my card featuring Winter Birds from Creative Worship Stamps:

Not only the bird but the holly, berries and sentiment are from Creative Worship Stamps in this one fun stamp set.  All of the holly/berries under the Cardinal were fussy cut, time consuming, but well worth it.  Next order will be for the die cuts that coordinate with this stamp set.  The background was stamped and then colored with Olo Markers.  These are clear stamps, so I inked them with VersaFine Claire Nocturne ink which gave me a nicely inked image.

Word Art Wednesday Challenge - Most Colorful Time!

Happy Fall! The chill is definitely in the air this morning, but we've been enjoying some beautiful Autumn afternoons on the north coast of northern California.  The leaves are turning; football is in full swing and in the next week or two I'll be pulling out my cozy sweaters and exchanging my ice coffee for a hot one!  Well, it's time for our bi-weekly challenge at Word Art Wednesday.  If you play along you know it's an Anything Goes - Family Friendly challenge and our sponsor is Concord & 9th ($30 gift card).  Seriously don't know why I don't have any of their stamps they are so CUTE!  I just might have to do a little shopping!

Word Art Wednesday - One for the Books!

Hello Delightful Friends!

The new school year locally is one week away, I can't believe how fast the time has gone this summer.  Of course, here where I live, summer is actually just now starting at least "weather-wise".  Our summer weather is late August through mid October.  All this doesn't affect me since I have no children in school but it's kind of sad having such nice weather to enjoy while sitting in a classroom.  

Anyway, the card I made this week is probably going to be sent to my grandson who will be starting 7th grade, and he still likes my cards! 😊  However, it would be ideal to send to a teacher, too. It would be super cute in primary colors, wouldn't it? I just might make another one....

 Word Art Wednesday has it's challenge starting today and runs for two weeks!  You can enter 10X, 5 times a week but it must be a new project and the theme is Anything Goes - Family Friendly.  Our sponsor for this challenge is Stix to Anything and is an adhesives package.  How important is adhesive to a card maker or scrapbooker?!! I love the texture on this card from the embossed background, the blanket stitch and even the center of the flower - the textures create a nice dimension. Even the flower petals have a little touch of embossing, and I added the ink with a blender brush!

Word Art Wednesday - Goodness of the Lord!

I had fun creating this one using a Christmas stencil. This is actually 1 out of 4 cards from this Create-in-Quad Layering Stencil called "Mistletoe".

These are the 3 other panels from this stencil, I

just need to add a card base and do a bit of embellishing.
