NORDIC WINTER DIE card class in October

Hey Delightful friends and family!

Just wanted to share a class I'm doing in October at Scrapper's Edge in Eureka, CA.   I'll be using the Nordic Winter Die by Sizzix.  We will be making three cards and a few tags to coordinate.  Here is a photo of my card samples.  They should be going up on the store website (if not today, then next week for sure for the details).  So if you are in the area.... 😇

So I was having some fun with this die and made a bunch of these, here are a few that are not quite finished, I've not added the sentiment yet or the card base.

It was fun and challenging to decide on the background because I wanted to use patterned paper, so I've done a lot of experimenting!

Here are a few more (I had me some fun!)

These last four are in a local store, I can't decide which one I like the best!

Thanks for visiting!

Trust Forever the Lord's Strength! Word Art Wednesday Challenge

Hello Delightful friends!
Crazy busy two weeks, goodness gracious.  I won't bore you with the details, just take my word for it.  So glad that this Scripture Art today for Word Art Wednesday reminded me where my strength comes from! It was the perfect verse to keep me focused because I'm seeing a very busy September knocking at my door.

Hope you all are having a great week, school is back in session, vacations are winding down, and pumpkin lattes are just around the corner!  And now it's time to play along with Word Art Wednesday's Anything Goes-Family Friendly Challenge!  We have a great sponsor and a popular one: Newton's Nook Designs!  Yay!  They have some seriously fun stamps and a super creative design team and blog - go check it out.  You'll find a really good tutorial page too!

I've kept this super simple, no stamping but I did use a couple of dies.  Tag die from Sizzix and the  border die is from Catherine Pooler.  The designer paper is from  Dare 2B Artsy. Super simple design and the tag could be a bookmark, although mine is adhered with dimensional tape.

Love the verse from Isaiah, I really needed to read that, so thank you Jesus!!

Thanks for visiting, enjoy your week!

Word Art Wednesday Challenge - Trusting Christ

Hello Delightful friends!
It's time for our Word Art Wednesday Challenge!  This weeks sponsor is The Project Bin be sure to check out their blog/store perhaps you'll be the winner of the $15 in merchandise.

Here is my card for the Anything Goes, Family Friendly Challenge.

This is the prettiest paper! It's from AlexandraRENKE.com (made in Germany but we are carrying it at Scrapper's Edge) it's such a nice quality card stock and the illustrations are beautifully done.
The images (lemon garden) look watercolored. I've added a brown, cream and yellow layer on a cream card base. I die cut the Word Art with a Simon Says Stitched Circle die and then made a frame by diecutting yellow card stock with a Spellbinders scallop circle die and a circle nestie die cutting out the center. A 1/2" strip of  yellow card stock with the coordinating lemon paper cut at 1/4" is behind the Scripture art.  I finished it off with a pastel yellow bow.  I didn't want this to be too busy because the designer paper is so pretty, I didn't want to cover it up!

Our verse today is from 2 Corinthians 3:4-5 which reminds us that our sufficiency should always be in God not in our abilities.  We must learn to trust Christ and not ourselves or for that matter, if we trust anyone but Christ we are in for a big disappointment.  I'm so glad I can trust my Savior.  I'm learning to lean on Him more and more.  When I remember Proverbs 3:5-6, I know I'm on the right path.  "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, lean not on your own understanding but in all your ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct your path."  Amen!!
