In the meantime, it's BIBLE VERSE THURSDAY and Angella has posted what the challenge is this week: "Another music challenge....since most of us are influenced by the music in our lives, use a verse about singing to the Lord." When uploading your project in our gallery, use the Keyword BVT31.....if uploading to an additional gallery, please use Keyword CPC-BVT31. There are no time limits and no challenge police so we would LOVE for you to participate!!! Well, I for one am happy there are no challenge police on this one because I read that it was a "music challenge" and I stopped right there!! I should have read to use a verse about singing to the Lord. But I didn't, well, that will teach me. So I get done with my card and realize I didn't really follow the challenge completely. Whoops!! Here is my almost following the challenge card recipe for this week! And BTW I was a little out of my comfort zone on this one!! I'm not sure what it was maybe just a lot of layering and that made it even more challenging!!

Send A Christmas Card To Noah...

Hello!
Just spending a few minutes to finish up a card I started last night. Again another one of my faux pas!! And this one I must admit turned out kinda cute. Love the colors of blue and brown together. Not your traditional Christmas colors but very trendy.

This card is going to be sent to a little boy who is in the last stages of a 2 - 1/2yr battle with Neuroblastoma Cancer. They are having Christmas early this year because of his serious condition. Please keep the family and little Noah (age 5) covered in prayer. This is his request "to get lots of Christmas cards." If you would like to send a card here is the address:

"If You Don't Make Mistakes, You Don't Make Anything"

Yes, I'm back trying to play catch up! Hey did you like the title of my post today? It's considered a proverb but I'm not sure from who or where. However, I've been making my share of mistakes in my cardmaking attempts so I thought... what can I learn from this? Well, one thing, I can do nothing and then sit and look at all the craft supplies and be aghast. I could stay out of my craftroom and the house will get clean (ha! I'll find something else to do) I could give up and not try but then I won't experience the joy of creating something that will put a smile on someone's face. Okay enough "philosophy" if you can call my musings, that! So, I'm okay with making mistakes because I'm learning. I'm learning and I'm meeting new friends online, I'm sharing a talent with others, I'M LEARNING! It's good to learn and make new things! So, are you scratching your head and wondering what this is leading to? Simple... I made a card (lol...what else is new) BUT, it was from a mistake and I revamped it and I had fun creating it! And it was simple! Can you have clean and simple and still distress with ink.... just wondering... remember I'm still learning!! I'll have to ask Jen (aka Miss Boo) the Queen of CAS!!

This card was inspired by a sketch at Taylored Expressions but it kind of took on a life of it's own so even though there may be an element or two from the sketch, it is really not worthy to post on their blog. But I do give them credit for the inspiration!

Top Secret Assignment and more...

Hello Friends and Family!!
I have been on a TOP SECRET assignment as a Design Team member for Christian Paper Crafts so I've been very busy having fun with some incredible exciting secret stuff! Oh man, this is hard but my lips are sealed and my blog won't reveal what I've been working on, but I'm having some fun that's for sure!! And that is my excuse for not posting our FUN ON FRIDAY at Christian Paper Crafts (sorry about that team!) But here it is better late than never. I hope you'll get a chance to play along!!
The CHALLENGE is to just watercolor. Be sure to find yourself a big and fun image to watercolor and mix and match.
