Color Splash and a Sketch!

I'm back with another challenge!! This weeks Play Date Cafe Challenge is their color splash challenge. Color Splash is Black & White with a hint of color.
This week's color: Green
I've also used this weeks TUESDAY SKETCH Challenge from CHRISTIAN PAPER CRAFTS!! Have you checked out the site? How about the Creative Blog?? We are getting more and more members, it's great!!! Love it! This is a sympathy card I made, my mom has requested me to make her a few so I'm trying to get some done now that I have some appropriate sentiments. This pic turned out so dark (I know it's black cardstock but it looks really dark!! I may have to make another one and see if I can minimize the black, maybe it's the black ribbon... personally I think it looks better in person!)

PDCC40 and CPC ST67

close up of the embossing and stamping.

DETAILS:

1. Made base from white Neenah cardstock 4.25 x 5.5

2. Cut black cardstock (Bazzill) 4 x 5.25 dry emboss using Victoria Cuttlebug embossing folder

3. Using Deckle Nestabilities diecut from white cardstock, then stamp Miniature Motif (Taylored Expressions) in black (Palette ink) and using the blending tool, ink the entire image with Shabby shutters (Distress ink)

4. Attach black ribbon to black cardstock, attach stamped image (see pic for placement) add bow and adhesive pearls (Kaiser Craft).

5. Punch 2 butteflies (I used the "practice" stamping papers from the Miniature Motif) add pearls, dimensionals attach to card.

6. Stamp sentiment Care & Comfort (Taylored Expressions) on white, mat with black, attach to card. Finish the inside with sentiment (I used a scripture from the Care & Comfort set)

Thanks so much for leaving a delightful comment and I still have more to come.... God bless!
