Happy Birthday! More challenges...

Just want to say Happy Birthday to my sweet husband, Kerry!! We're getting ready to go have dinner with all the kids and grandkids at my mom's house. Our oldest daughter has been planning this for at least a month. We almost weren't able to pull it off due to the weather and trying to get crab this time of the year can be iffy, but we did it (shhhh! don't tell Kerry, he doesn't have a clue).

In the meantime, I thought I'd post a card I made this morning. I was inspired by the Taylor Expression Sketch #107 and the Stamp Something challenge today is PINK SOMETHING and I was able to incorporate two other challenges, Stampin' Sister's in Christ Tole Paper Challenge (SSCC #32) and Our Daily Bread Designs Monochromatic challenge (SNTODBD6). Hope you like my card!

Here are my ingredients:

Stamp: Our Daily Bread Designs (sentiment) Hero Arts (butterfly)

Ink: Palette, black

Paper: Basic Grey; Paper Accents (black cardstock)

Embellishments: Buttons (Bo Bunny and American Crafts)

Tools: Martha Stewart, Border punch; EK Success, corner rounder; Marvy Uchida, scallop circle punch; Cuttlebug embossing folder.

Well, thanks for looking I'm heading out to eat some yummy dinner!! Crab, tri-tip steak, potatoes, artichokes, salad, corn on the cob (who knows what else! It will be a feast to celebrate a much loved daddy's birthday!)

I promise moderation will be on the menu, too!

  8. That sounds delicious, Natalie. Sorry I haven't been by in awhile. Life and ministry have been keeping me busy. Oh, what a pretty card that is - I love the butterfly and that verse. I hope Kerry had a blessed bday.

  9. Happy Birthday to your sweet husband! I'm sorry I haven't been able to visit you for a while and as often as I'd like but I'm glad that I'm able to catch up now, even though the newsletter is getting blown off - hehe.
