I've been scrapbooking pictures that have been older photos of the grandbabies. So I thought I'd post some current pics. This was taken yesterday of the three. Can you believe it, they sat still for a photo, of course Poppa was behind me making faces at them!

I'm on a roll, three layouts in the month of September (whoo-hoo!!) AND they are of each grandchild, no favorites shown here!! :-) I'd best get busy because another one is due the first week of November!

This layout is for the challenge at Christian Paper Crafts by the Scrapbook Specialists. Each month will be a different technique to try. This month is MASKING. So I punched out some leaves (embossed leaf punch made by Marvy Uchida) and "masked away" using a Adirondack Dabber (Hazelnut) and a paint brush to blend a bit making the bottom border of my layout. Then I added the buttons (Foof a La Bag of Buttons) in a sequence to give the border more of a finished look, I've strung them using hemp cording (Darice). The Designer Paper is from BoBunny called "U Bug Me Dot" and the cardstock is either Bazzill or Paper Accents (or both!)

Close up of the border and also I've handwritten (Zig black pen) the journaling because I think it personalizes it - I don't always do this but probably 90% of the time I do. I love seeing my grandmothers handwriting so I think it will make it special in the future. The metal leaf brads I've had for a while and I'm sorry I'm not sure who made them.

Fashionably Late!

Hello Delightful friends!

Yes, I'm late in posting a couple of challenges but my new stamp is a fun Apple Doodle Ink line called Fashionably Late from Taylored Expressions. Don't you think this "little" lady is just the cutest?!! Now she is far from being a Diva and don't get mad at me, but she looks a lot like a few elderly church ladies that I've known! (Yikes, no offence to anyone and the ones I'm thinking of have passed on) I definitely have plans to update her look!! Okay... back to the challenges: Christian Paper Crafts

It took me quite a while to figure out how to incorporate these colors into a card, but I persevered and had some fun and did it! Welcome to the September Blast from the Past Blog Hop!!

Welcome to all my delightful friends, new and old alike!! Hope you are enjoying all the beautiful creations from past Taylored Expression stamp sets!! If you came here by accident (or Divine intervention!) you will want to start from the beginning HERE, if you have come from the very creative blog of Charmaine , then you are in the right place!!

Here is my card and I'm celebrating the hop with a spot of CreativiTea. (I LOVE this set.) Ever since I ordered these stamps, I've been wanting to do a Christmas tea. Love holiday teas. I've also used the sentiment from Care & Comfort. I'm going to figure out a holiday project to make for our Ladies Ministry tea with this set! So many PossibiliTeas!!

Here are the ingredients and recipe to my card.
I used the above sketch as inspiration and all of the designer paper is the Basic Grey "Jovial" series. The cardstock is from the Taylored Expressions August 2010 Key Ingredient kit. I've used three different dies and my Cuttlebug (Provo): Spellbinders Nestablilites Label Nine, Tim Holtz Alterations (Sizzix) Brackets and Taylored Expressions Scalloped Eyelet Border Die. The ink I chose for the stamps is Memento, rich cocoa and I've used the Distress Ink, aged mahogany to distress around the edges (sentiment die, bracket die). The embellishments: Ribbon (Offray); poinsettia (my stash); Button (Foofala Bag o'buttons). I also used dimensionals to pop the sentiment and teapot. The finished card size is 5.5" x 5.5"

Scrappin' some Attitude

I'm blessed you've come by for a visit, this is a long post with pics and I don't know if you are even interested in the different techniques I've done on this layout but I'm going to share anyway ;-)

First I do want to share that this is a challenge for the CHRISTIAN PAPER CRAFTS new scrapbooking monthly challenges. So be sure and head over there and check out all the other fantastic layout challenges! This one is called "A Bit Of This and That" Here is the recipe for this fun challenge:

All patterned (designer) paper is from the Girls Paperie line called Paper Girl, the base cardstock is Bazzill and the pink altered flowers are punched with an EK Success blossom punch and the paper is from DCWV, pastel cardstock. Most edges were distressed with my handy dandy Heidi Swapp edge distresser. There is a small border of pink that was made with a Taylored Expression scalloped eyelet die.

"Mostly" handmade flowers.

The base of these flowers is a store bought white flower (Making Memories) and I used Tattered Angels "Glam" in Organic Garden to give them the green glimmered look. The blossoms were first punched out using a large scallop circle (Marvy Uchida) then I cut the circle into a "spiral" and begin to roll up starting on one end working your way to the end, let it relax and see the blossom develop, I added Glossy Accents to adhere in a couple of places and to adhere to the green flower base. To the very center of the flower I added a "glob" of the Glossy Accents then add the pearl (ColorStories brand) There are some great tutorials out in blogland for handmade flowers so the sky (or garden) is the limit!

Be sure to click to enlarge to see the detail on the flourishes. I didn't have any chipboard flourishes so I had to improvise. I found a couple of stickers (BoBunny, top; Basic Grey, bottom) and attached them to a piece of chipboard and very patiently (maybe) and meticulously cut them out. The next steps were trial and error but I liked the result. I painted each of the flourishes with Claudine Hellmuth's Studio paint, blank canvas (aka white!), dried with heat gun to speed up the process, so much for my patience ;-) then painted with Distress Crackle Paint (old paper), heat gunned to dry, then "glammed" with the Tattered Angels Organic Garden Glam, heat gunned to dry again. I used the sanding block around the edges then distressed with ink, (aged Mahogany). Finally, I attached to the layout with Glossy Accents and dimensionals.

Down the homestretch!

EK Success blossom punch shaped this flower. I used the Victoria embossing folder then sanded to bring out the white, then used Distress Ink (aged mahogany) around the edges to "antique it" the green leaves are actually a large flower I "glammed" and cut apart to look like leaves. The center of this flower was made with a small scallop circle punch (Marvy Uchida) and two circle punches (EK Success). I attached the two circles with glossy accents and the darker color had been "glammed" and made "glossy" with the Glossy Accents just for a little interest.

Bless your heart if you made it to the end!! I hope that you've gotten a little bit of inspiration! This layout was made with love and the picture was taken almost a year ago, so my little granddaughter Addy has changed quite a bit! I really need to get some updated pics off of my computer and into my hands!
