Word Art Wednesday Challenge - The Project Bin

Hello Delightful Friends!
Happy Thanksgiving to the USA!  Remember all the things we can be thankful for. I sure can have a lot to say about that, especially in the times we are living in right now.  But for now I just want to thank and praise the Lord for His faithfulness and redemption.  We certainly live in challenging times but Jesus reminds us to stay focused on Him.  He is our strength, our strong and mighty tower.

This weeks challenge is here for Word Art Wednesday and we have a terrific sponsor in the Project Bin.  Be sure to check out their Black Friday sale!! HERE.  Check it out beforehand there are some awesome sales going on now!!

Here is my card for this weeks challenge (anything goes/family friendly):

(Sorry the photo isn't the greatest - the read card stock is not part of the card)

Scripture Art for this weeks challenge from Jeremiah:

Ingredients:

Stamp: Boughs & Berries Background (Taylored Expressions)

Paper: Toffee 100lb c/s (TE); Neenah bright white 80lb c/s

Ink: Lime Zest (TE)  PrismaColor Pencil (red for the berries)

Dies: Stitched Circle Die (Simon Says Stamp)

The Scripture verse is amazing when you meditate on what Jeremiah is saying. I have to ask you:  Is the Word of God a joy and a rejoicing in your heart today?  Can you say that you are called of the Lord? If you are born again you are definitely called by the Lord, even by name.  He knew you when you were in your mother's womb and He knows how many hairs are on your head.  That is pretty amazing.  God's word is so precious and the Bible says it is "living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart" (Hebrews 4:12) no wonder the enemy of our souls hates it so much.  It's what gives me hope, even when this world is in such a mess, His Word gives me hope and a peace, that no one can take away.  Praise the Lord, that is definitely something to be thankful for.  I am praying right now for anyone who reads this and is struggling.... won't you please call on the name of the Lord Jesus - He is waiting for you to reach out to Him, He wants you to come boldly to the throne of grace, that you may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.  What a Savior!

Thanks for visiting and blessings to you,

Word Art Wednesday Challenge - Stamp Simply Clear Stamps

Hello Delightful Friends

Brrr, we are definitely in the Fall zone!!  We had our first frost this morning.  I love this time of year, the beautiful colors and the crisp nights but I must admit, I do not like the cold mornings!  Hope you are managing the change of seasons better than I.  I had my jacket on all day long.

Well, it's time for our Word Art Wednesday Challenge (Anything Goes - Family Friendly).  Our sponsor this time is Stamp Simply Clear Stamps (thank you Sharon Johnson!).  Check out their new release of Fall and Christmas merchandise!!  And be sure to visit their BLOG Esther Asbury shared a beautiful new card using the gorgeous Dahlias stamp this week.

I've used the O Christmas Tree steel die from the set which has a coordinating stamp set.  I just loved the size and shape of this tree.  I chose not to use the stamp because I didn't want the snow affect, so I blended the ink onto the tree after diecutting 3 trees (to give dimension).  In hindsight I should have placed a moon in the night sky! I may have to go back and do a little bit of addition to this card.  But as you know, I do love simplicity and CAS.
I decided to do a slimline card with a little ink blending and splattering.  You will find all the ingredients at the end of this post.

Here is this weeks Scripture Art to use if you'd like to incorporate it on your artwork.

Ingredients:
O Christmas Tree Die (Stamp Simply Clear Stamps)
Neenah White card stock (cut tree 3x using die)
Pattern paper (a scrap in my stash)
Lawn Fawn Stitched Hillside Die
Top Fold Slimline card in Toffee (Taylored Expressions)
TE Inks: Sweet Basil, Cilantro, Salt Water Taffy, Blueberry, Jelly Donut, Sugar Cube (splatters)
I trimmed out the Scripture art and matted it on Desert Storm.

Thanks so much for visiting and I pray that the Lord will give you wisdom, understanding and the peace of God in the midst of this stormy world.  Praying for our nation.

Word Art Wednesday Challenge - Anything Goes/Family Friendly

Hello Delightful Friends!
Here is my card for Word Art Wednesday Challenge. Our Sponsor this week is Studio Katia be sure and check out their BLOG and come away with some great creative inspiration.  They have used some cute dies to make some very fun shaker cards!!  Check it out!!

Here is my card to share for this weeks challenge, hope you'll play along.

Ingredients:
Base: Desert Storm Neenah card stock 5.5 x 4.25
I've stenciled the background using the Taylored Expressions Fall & Foliage Stamp and Stencil Combo. (love this set).
Taylored Expressions Ink: Dijon, Raspberry Sorbet, Mulled Wine, Cilantro, Mushroom.
I've used the TE brushes to stencil.
The checked strip is a scrap from my stash.
This Stamp and Stencil set is really fun.  You start with the large stamp which is just the veins, stems and dots, then the 3 set stencils which are clearly marked so you know to start with #1 and so on.  Super fast and super easy.  I've popped up the sentiment with dimension squares, the Scripture art is a digital which you can use for the challenge if you'd like.  It's free and available at Word Art Wednesday.  I've matted the Scripture (Proverbs 5:21) with the Desert Storm card stock.

Thanks so much for visiting.  Don't forget to play along and share your creations at Word Art Wednesday the challenge runs for 2 weeks and each week you can link 5 new projects!

God Bless! Please say a prayer for the USA.

Word Art Wednesday Challenge - 3 John 2

Hello Delightful Friends!

Welcome to my blog!  Today is Word Art Wednesday Challenge day!!  My card has an autumn feel to it and I hope you like the design.  Our sponsor for our challenge is Pretty Little Studio ($20) very, very cute vintage diecuts and lots of digital images.  Our challenge is Anything Goes - Family Friendly and lasts for 2 weeks so be sure and share with us and perhaps you'll win the sponsor prize.  You can submit 5 new creations a week!

I've used minimal items for this card but I love the layered look to it by using the Pink Fresh Stitched Scallop Dies.  The pattern paper is from Prima Marketing, 6x6 pad called Hello Pink Autumn.  The pink card stock was from a scrap so I'm not sure what it's name is.  I used a piece of hemp cording for the accent bow and the base is white Neenah card stock.

Our digital scripture is from 3 John 2.

You can use this art in your creation if you'd like to and it's a wonderful verse to encourage and bless someone.  Well I appreciate you visiting and pray you'll have a blessed week and that you will prosper as your soul prospers!

Don't forget to visit Word Art Wednesday and see all the beautiful cards and mixed media everyone shares!

His Truth my Shield - Word Art Wednesday

Hello Delightful Friends!
Well I can't believe I am saying this but summer is winding down 😢 here in California you wouldn't know it except the mornings are cooler. It's my favorite time of the year although the smoke in the air is pretty bad and I wake up with ash on my car.
If you don't mind please pray for California we are having wildfires like nobodies business.  Such devastation.  We are safe so far where we live on the coast but we are surrounded by forests beautiful redwood forests.
On to happier news...
It's that time again for our Word Art Wednesday Challenge!  Our sponsor this week is Stix 2 Anything (giving away an adhesive package).  Who doesn't need adhesive, right?!!!  Thank you Stix 2 Anything!!

Here is my card:

Simple card with a little die cutting,  ink blending and fussy cutting out the bird from the pretty pattern paper.  Easy peasy, clean and simple!
Here are my ingredients:
White Neenah card stock for the base
Wildflower Meadow 6x6 from Craft Consortium
(pretty paper which is also double-sided) cut to 5.25" x 4"
Lawn Fawn Stitched Rectangle die
Cutterbee scissors for fussy cut, Lavender Glaze ink from Taylored Expressions,
Ink Blending brush (Taylored Expressions)
I kept the Scripture Art in the rectangle die and then blended the ink to keep a white border.

I picked this paper because of the birds shown, I thought it would work well with the Scripture because it mentions how God shall cover us with His feathers and we can be safe under His wings, of course I believe that is a metaphor!  But I love that HIS TRUTH is my shield and buckler.  A wonderful verse to meditate on, to know the love and protection of our heavenly Father. I am safe in His arms.

God bless and thanks for visiting.

Word Art Wednesday - Anything Goes Challenge

Hello Delightful Ones!
I don't know about you but I needed something bright and cheery to share for this challenge at Word Art Wednesday.  Things are so bleak in this world especially if you are  living without Jesus Christ in your life.  I tell you He is my hope and I know He is coming soon!  So we are instructed in God's Word to look up for our redemption draws near!  Please remember in your prayers the brothers and sisters in Christ that are in Afghanistan, they are truly living in perilous times.

Thank you to our sponsor this week: The Project Bin.

Here is my card:

Super easy with pattern paper from Echo Park 6x6 Fairy Garden.  I've only used one piece, it's double-sided.
Spellbinders Stitched Rectangle die to cut out the Scripture Art; a flower die from Taylored Expressions and Gold Liquid Pearls to accent the flower center.  The little strip of flowered paper is a scrap from the original piece.
This is definitely one of my "go to" card layout designs.

Thank you for visiting and truly "The Lord is gracious and full of compassion, slow to anger and of great mercy"!!  God is faithful!
