He Dwelt Among Us - Word Art Wednesday Challenge

Hello Delightful Friends!

Here is my card for this weeks challenge at Word Art Wednesday! You have two weeks to play and you can enter 5 of your creative projects, it can be cards, scrapbook pages, mixed media ,etc as long as it's family friendly!  You choose what you want to share at the WAW challenge blog.  Oh wait, it's 5 times a week.  That's ten crafty projects to share with the community.  You can use the free Scripture Art if you'd like, you can grab it over at WAW.

This weeks challenge sponsor is Stamp Simply Ribbon Store check out the store and the blog for some excellent inspiration!  I've used the stamp set called Seasonal Wreaths (Spring & Summer), they also have another set of Wreaths called Fall and Winter which I used a couple of challenges ago.  Each set has some great sentiments too.  So I tried to use just the swag stamp on the front of the card to frame out the Scripture Art and then on the inside I used the wreath with the swag and one of the sentiments as you can see below.  I just did the black and white theme, no coloring at all, which was really hard for me.  I love to color!!   But I wanted to do something different.  I first tried to do it on vellum but I kept smearing the ink, I think I would have had better results if I had used a heavier vellum and did the embossing powder/versamark/heat gun.  I love that look.  And the heavier vellum is wonderful to work with.

Inside of the card.

Thanks so much for taking a look and visiting, love to hear from you in the comments!!
Have a blessed week, please pray for the USA.

And let us not grow weary while doing good,
for in due season we shall reap if we do not faint.  Galatians 6:9

Word Art Wednesday Challenge and Prize Winners!

Hello Delightful friends!
Happy New Year to you all.  I am so excited to share today.  I've made two cards to share one for our challenge at Word Art Wednesday and another card which also uses our sponsors products.  I am a huge fan of Taylored Expressions products and the blog is filled with lots of wonderful inspiration!!  Wouldn't you love to win this weeks prize at WAW??? Just play along with us at the WAW challenge blog (Anything Goes - Family Friendly).

Here are my cards:

I stamped and stenciled the above card (products listed below) I printed the Scripture Art on lightweight card stock cut it out and then added a white mat behind and popped it up with dimensional tape.

I used the Cutting Plate to diecut this framed out Seasonal Sprig.  Then using the stencils I applied the ink.  Before adhering the frame, I used the blender brushes to add the Sprinkles ink to the background.  I then stamped the "Wishing You Joy" sentiment (one of 5 sentiments in this Seasonal Sprig set).  After adhering the diecut frame I added Nuvo Jewel Drops to the berries.

I've used the following Taylored Expressions Products
The following inks were used (all TE) Poppy Seed, Watermelon, Mulled Wine, Key Lime, Cilantro, Sprinkles.  I've used the Blender Brushes to apply the ink (best investment, ever!)

Prize package #2 (sneak peek of my giveaway and I plan to add some more goodies!)

Here is my card using the Seasonal Wreath Stamp Fall & Winter set from Simply Stamp for our Anything Goes Challenge!

Card Directions:
First, I stamped my wreath, then stamped the Christmas swag using brown ink. (the set comes with an autumn swag, too) I used the Karin Brush Markers to color the poinsettia, leaves and ribbon.
I then used my Koi watercolors to create the background (wet on wet technique).  After it dried, I used the gold Liquid Pearls to embellish the wreath berries.  The Scripture Art was printed on vellum and added to the lower half of the watercolor paper.  The gold striped paper was cut 5.5 x 1" and added to the white card base then I added the focal front panel.  The "Blessings" sentiment is also from the Seasonal Wreath set and was stamped with black ink on white paper and matted on to green cardstock.

Don't forget to leave a comment to win!
There will be two winners on January 5!

Thanks for visiting!
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Word Art Wednesday Challenge - Anything Goes

Hello Delightful Friends! Time for another Word Art Wednesday challenge! Here is my card:
I've kept it pretty simple with water coloring. I've used a couple of greens and a blue water color and used the wet on wet technique. One of the greens was an olive green from the Karin Brush Marker set I have, just did a little scribbling and added water to blend. The blue paint was from my Koi Creative paint set. After it dried, I added Liquid Pearls in gold for a little bling. The stamp set is from Taylored Expressions called Just Vine Background and I stamped using TE Sweet Basil ink. I printed the Scripture art onto white vellum and attached it to the front of the card so that it would be the focal point of my card. Hope you enjoy it and will join us at Word Art Wednesday for the challenge of Anything Goes (family friendly). Our prize this challenge will be from Trinity Stamps ($40 value) Be sure and head over to WAW and see the details, join the fun by adding your art to have a chance to win! Thanks for visiting!! God bless you and God bless America - please pray for us! Photobucket
