Word Art Wednesday #218 Roses Galore - #simonsaystamp

Hello Delightful Friends and Family!
I think I've recovered from the holiday season, finally!!  Now I just have to get back into the routine of spending time in the craft room, blogging and visiting all the fun and creative blogs out in cyberland!  I have been playing in my craft room preparing for the February classes at Scrapper's Edge.  I have one more class to teach this week and hope the ladies will enjoy it!

Monday night was spent working  playing, coloring and designing this card.  It was fun to color with my Copics!! Yay! It had been a couple of weeks since I sat down to actually color.

Here is my card for this weeks Word Art Wednesday:

The background was created by stamping with a cute heart shaped by roses and leaves in Memento Grey Flannel ink.  The stamp set is called Roses for You from Simon Says Stamps.  You can find it here. I noticed that it's out of stock right now, but it is sure a cute set! So glad I got it!  I've used the single rose to accent around the white space and then used the matching die to cut one as well as a couple of the leaves that belong to the set.  I colored with my Copic Markers.  Here are the ones I've used: RV02, RV04, RV09, G24, G43, YG05, BV0000.  I've accented the roses with the Uni-Ball Signo white pen.  The Word art from Isaiah 45:2 is this weeks free Scripture Art that you can use from Word Art Wednesday, just save it to your computer.   Of course you don't have to use it to play in the challenge!  Just remember that the challenge is Anything Goes - Family Friendly! Hope you will consider playing with us, there are wonderful prizes from our fabulous sponsors!

In our verse from Isaiah 45:2  we see that this was a word for Cyrus, who was a Gentile pagan king used by God to deliver His own people.  It's amazing to see how God used this man to fulfill His purposes.  It reminds me of the verse in Romans 8 "All things work together for good, to them that love God and to them that are called according to His purpose." (vs 28).  We can trust the Lord to go before us and make those crooked places straight - of course keep in mind those crooked places (or trials) may be the very place God will teach us and help us to grow into that woman or man of God He has called us to be.  Don't lose heart!  Keep your eyes on Jesus and know that He will make your (spiritually speaking...) crooked place straight in His perfect time.

But now, O Lord, You are our Father; We are the clay and you are our Potter; And all we are the work of Your hand.  Isaiah 64:8

Well that's it for me today!  Thanks so much for visiting!

Word Art Wednesday #217 - Psalm 139

Hello Delightful friends and family!
Hope you are having a great week, can you believe it 2016...2016!
We are super excited at Word Art Wednesday because our new sponsor is Simon Says Stamp!  They have so many wonderful exclusive products.  Did you see their new release last week?? The You Have My Heart blog hop was fabulous, so much talent and inspiration. Soooo.... if you play along at WAW this week you have a chance of winning a $25 gift certificate from Simon Says Stamp!  Remember it's Anything Goes - Family Friendly.

Here is my card for this week's challenge:

Our Scripture this week is from Psalm 139:14.  If you'd like to use it, be sure and grab it from the challenge blog.  It's free!
The large heart I've used is a die and I've used the inlay technique with coordinating designer paper which is from a 6x6 pad from Crate Paper called Love Notes. I cut the die twice, once in pink card stock and once with the designer paper.  The heart die is from SSS and perfect for Valentines Day.  The tiny hearts are from the Lawn Fawn die set called Stitched Journal.

If you are having a rough week remember you are "fearfully and wonderfully made" in God's eyes.  Get that deep within your soul and rejoice in the fact that you are made in His image and His works are marvelous! We are close to His heart!  That should give you a kick in your step, right?!   Well, that's it for me today.
 Thanks so much for visiting!

Roses For You - Word Art Wednesday #216

Hello Delightful friends and family!
Hope you all had a fabulous Christmas.  We had all the kids and grandkids over, so it was a full house and we had so much fun watching the little ones.
Today I'm sharing a new card for Word Art Wednesday.  It's our last 2015 challenge and starting 2016 we will be going to a bi-monthly challenge.  And as always it will be an Anything Goes - Family Friendly challenge.  We are super excited about Simon Says Stamp being a new sponsor this year!  Yay!!  Now onto my card:

I've used a new stamp "Roses For You" from Simon Says Stamp.  I've stamped the flowers and then stamped the flower portion twice and popped it up with dimensional adhesive and then added a pearl. Before those steps I used a water brush to paint with Distress Inks (Sketch Blueprint, Twisted Citron, Abandoned Coral and Festive Berries, Hickory Smoke) to give this water color effect.

The Word art is from 1 Corinthians 6:20.  A wonderful verse to end 2015 and to head into 2016.  We must remember that we are to glorify God with all we have, for without Him we are nothing.  But with Him we have everything.  We were bought with a great price being the very blood of Jesus Christ.  It's truly our reasonable service to honor and glorify Him. I thought the flowers on the card was a simple way to reflect how we are to live, reaching to the heavens in praise to the Lord and seeking His will in everything we do.

But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.  Matthew 6:33

Thanks for visiting and Happy New Year!!

Simon Says Stamp - You Have My Heart - DieCember Celebration!

Hello Delightful Friends and Family,
This is my second attempt to write this post.  It just disappeared on me earlier, not sure what I did but boy is that frustrating! I received happy mail this week from Simon Says Stamp so I was just pleased as punch because it was unexpected! Love it! So, I had to make a card, of course.  Perfect for this months DieCember Die Crazy challenge.  The die I've used from the new release You Have My Heart is called Love Bouquet.  Be sure and check out Simon Says Stamp new release - it's pretty awesome!

Here is my card:

I've also used the "Sending" die and the "Big Hugs" die (Hugs only on this card) both from Simon Says Stamp and then the tiny hearts are from a die set from Lawn Fawn called Journaling.
I've die cut the Love bouquet twice, once in black and once in bright pink (bubblegum) and then with the Uni-Ball Signo white pen drew in the stitch lines.  I've added the black die cuts into the leaves that were open as well as a few background areas.    No stamping at all on this card! The designer paper is from Simple Stories.  I haven't played in a challenge is so long other than Word Art Wednesday where I'm on the DT, so this was a lot of fun!

Thanks so much for visiting!

You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You.  Isaiah 26:3

Rejoice and Be Glad! Word Art Wednesday #214

Hello Delightful friends and family!
Just a quick post because I'm a bit under the weather.  Hope whatever this is will be quick (chills and achy feeling.) Since I'm writing this Tuesday night, I hope to get to bed soon and feel better in the morning. Who has time to get sick!!

Here is Word Art Wednesday's card #214. It's a family friendly challenge with prizes, hope you'll link up at WAW and leave a comment! Please grab the free digital Scripture, too. There is a new one every week there is a challenge and some fabulous sponsors, too!

The top layer is a background stamp from Hero Arts.  I've used white embossing powder and then heat set it and added Distress Inks in blues. The Lawn Fawn stamp called Season's Tweetings was used to make the tree branch (embossed with Archival Tea Branch).  The little birdie was colored with Copics and I stamped the musical notes with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  This little birdy is singing it's heart out for the Lord!

Thanks so much for visiting and lift me up in prayer!

Joy to the World! Word Art Wednesday #213

Hello Delightful Friends and Family,
So glad Wednesday is here!  My Tuesday was a crazy day and I'm glad it's behind me. I do love looking back however and see how the Lord worked out all the details. I know that I don't have to  sweat the big or little stuff! So grateful that He is in control!

Here is my card for Word Art Wednesday #213 this week, I know it's a busy time of the year but I hope you'll consider playing along:

I've used Distress Inks for the background behind the silhouette of Bethlehem (die from Taylored Expressions). The sentiment and star (Paper Smooches) have been embossed with white embossing powder and the stars were created using a Uni-ball Signo white pen.  I used purple glitter card stock for a layer to frame out the focal layer.  A strip of a silver border sticker separate the Scripture and the scene.
Hope you are keeping CHRIST in your CHRISTmas so that you may experience the joy and gladness that comes in knowing Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior!  Rejoice and have a blessed week.

Thanks for visiting!! Have a great week.

Word Art Wednesday #212 - God With Us

Hello Delightful Friends and Family!!
Hope you are having a great Wednesday. After Bible Study this morning, I have to go to work at the lss.  One of my co-workers is sick so I'm filling in for her in the afternoon.

Here is my card for Word Art Wednesday #212.  I've been keeping the cards pretty simple lately with the Scripture taking center stage.  I've used just two colors, blue and white on this card and the stamp is a large Hero Arts background stamp called Snow.  It stamps so nicely, I've used the Cornflower Blue Ink (Archival).  I've also inked around the edges to soften the stark white stitched circle (Simon Says) and background die (Spellbinders).

Can you see all the white dots on the snowflakes? They are enamel dots from Ranger, the package comes with black and white enamel accents and they dry glossy. I really like the effect it gives.

I love this verse from Isaiah.  Have you given much thought of the name Immanuel? Meaning "God with Us".The LORD has always wanted to fellowship with us, it all started in a beautiful garden before the fall. Then God came down and dwelt among His people Israel.  First He was there with the tabernacle in the wilderness and then He "tabernacled" in the flesh - Jesus Christ.  Now He tabernacles within us - in our hearts as we believe in Him. Christ in us, the hope of glory! If you have moment you should read Colossians 1.  I have to warn you though you may not want to stop at chapter one, you may end up reading the complete letter.  It's definitely worth your time!

Thanks so much for visiting and please join us at Word Art Wednesday and play in the Family Friendly Anything Goes Challenge.
