Hello Delightful Friends!!
It's time for our annual Christmas Blog Hop, hope you're ready for some inspiration & prizes! Be sure to start at the Word Art Wednesday Blog and check out all the designers. Our sponsor this hop is Unity Stamps, they are offering 2 - $25 prizes! Two prizes at the challenge blog and then 1 or more prize at each stop! Merry Christmas!! The blog list is at the end of my blog but you should have just left Christine Miller's blog to get here.
In order to qualify for a prize you need to leave a comment at each stop and since I'm offering 2 extra prizes, I need not only a comment, but I'd love to know if you've learned a new technique this year or do you have a favorite "go to" technique. My favorite this year has been the layering stencils. My cards show 2 cards that have multiple layers and one with only 2 layers. I'll share a little under each photo.
Prize #1 from the WORD ART WEDNESDAY BLOG
Prizes 2 & 3 are the prizes I am personally offering for USA participants only:
#3
This stencil is called Pine Branch Layering Stencil set (2 stencils) Creative Worship Stamps designed by Korin Sutherland; I added extra needles by shifting the stencil just a tiny bit and using a lighter hand when I used the detail brush.
Ink: Cilantro, Toffee, Chocolate Truffle (TE)
Dies: Easy Edgers (TE)
Sentiment: Sundry Sentiments - holiday with coordinating die.
Paper: Sugar Cube, Green Tea, Toffee (base), Christmas Express 6x6 by Echo Park
Brushes, Detail brushes (TE), Celebrate it Jute rope for the bow
These two cards use the stencil called Quilt Squares by Taylored Expressions.
It has 4 layering stencils which are about 8 x 11 in size. This set makes 6 cards, I've used the sentiment set called Sew Many Stitches, the other four cards I used Christmas sentiments, unfortunately I didn't take pictures before sending them off in the mail. The above card I used Talking in Circles Piercing Plate on the Jujube card stock. The frame is a die called Blanket Stitched Rectangle (PinkFresh).
Inks used: Jujube, Mulled Wine, Green Tea, Winter Green.
Micron Pen to faux stitch the quilt designs.
The card below, I've used the Cross-Stitched embossing folder on the Green Tea cardstock. I've added a band across the bottom quarter of the card, without any embossing but I've done the faux stitching for a little interest.
All supplies are from Taylored Expressions unless noted.

Wow! these are all amazing! I LOVE the quilted look and holiday colors! The pinecones are STUNNING!
ReplyDeleteThese are all awesome! I love the quilted look for the last two and your stenciling is fabulous. Thank you for the inspiration today.
ReplyDeleteSuch beautiful cards! My mom was a quilter and my sister is a quilter. The stenciled quilting is so cozy. Beautifully done, Natalie!
ReplyDeleteAll of your cards are beautiful using traditional Christmas colours. I'm visiting from the Word Art Wednesday Blog Hop - thank you for such a cute prize. I am in Canada so I understand that I am not eligible, no worries. Blessings and best wishes.
ReplyDeleteI love quilting and your quilt cards are lovely. But I must admit I favor the pine bough. I can almost smell them! Blessings on your Christmas and in the New Year!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous cards! My favorite is the pine branch stenciling! Fabulous! Thanks for the blog hop and a chance to win prizes. Happy Holidays! Big Hugs, Gloria

Love the pine branch and pinecones, and the quilt designs too! Beautiful cards!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite go to technique is using die cuts on cards. I am also loving the layering stencils and find that I am using those more often as well.
Your card is lovely, Natalie. You have such a talent. Thank you so much for sharing those talents for God's glory at Word Art Wednesday. I'm such a creature of habit, and I rarely venture out of my comfort zone. However, I did learn a few new techniques this year including painting with oxide inks and Tim Holtz crayons. I'm trying, but it's a process.
ReplyDeleteLovely cards! Those pinecones are really pretty. Would you believe I just tried foiling for the first time a couple weeks ago?! I bought all the stuff to do it about 2 years ago ... lol Merry Christmas and have a blessed New Year!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful layered stencil designs, Natalie. I recently watched a tutorial on interactive pop up designs. Definitely a challenge for me but so fun. Merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteStunning cards Natalie! Christmas blessing to you and yours!
ReplyDeleteI've really gotten into the Quilt cards this year and yours is inspirational, along with that Pine Cone and Plaid card - so pretty!
ReplyDeleteYou made beautiful card. I try myself with Pop-Up cards. As I am from Slovenia, I just want to wish you Happy Holidays.
ReplyDeleteAll the 'quilted' cards are absolutely beautiful, I used to quilt but only do so now on cards!! Have a very Merry Christmas!!
ReplyDeleteYour cards are all so beautiful!! I especially love the layering pine stencil! Have a blessed Christmas!
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful! I love the envelope design and pretty papers. Layering stencils are really trending now and I've taken to adding them to my stash too. I am learning to use them with stencil butter which gives great dimension and texture to project.
ReplyDeleteYour Christmas cards are all so lovely, Nathalie! And thank you so much for your generous prizes! Sending warm wishes for a beautiful Christmas and a blessed 2026!
ReplyDeleteAnd a new technique I learned this year was watercoloring through layering stencils. It sounds like you enjoy layering stencils, so I hope you’ll try watercolors with them sometime. I use my heat tool to dry the watercolors between layers, and the end result is so soft and pretty.
DeleteI like all your Christmas cards, especially that first one. You did a beautiful job stenciling the pine cone branch. Happy WAW and Merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteYour cards are so pretty, Natalie. I especially like the pine cons and the fun Christmas plaid you paired them with. This year, I've been trying some fun fold techniques (I've always claimed to be fun-fold challenged, but I've found if I find a good video instruction, I can do OK.) I've also started making rocker cards to shake things up.
ReplyDeleteBoth cards are so pretty in the classic red and green Christmas colors. Love those pinecones and the quilted card reminds me of my grandma Sophie. She loved making quilts.
ReplyDeleteI would say the technique that I have been working on is coloring with colored pencils. Still new to me.
Wishing you a very Merry Christmas and a blessed New Year!
